In the room, Kevin sat in a chair opposite Alice who sat hugging her knees on the bed.
"Would you like to tell me a story?" Ask Kevin gently.
Alice just kept quiet and lowered her head to touch her bent knee.
Kevin advanced the chair, and gently stroked the little girl's hair.
"Sorry..." Alice said softly, looking at Kevin. His eyes were puffy because after crying.
Kevin moved to sit on the lip of the bed and grabbed Alice's body, hugging the little girl. Alice's tears broke again in Kevin's arms.
A few moments Alice satisfied her cries in Kevin's arms. After a bit of calm, Alice looked at Kevin and wiped her tears. Kevin helped wipe away the little girl's tears with a smile.
"Pardon me... I've been lying to you... My mom never told me to come here. It's just my own wish." Alice sighed deeply, giving a pause.
"But I'm not a fraud like Hank said! And my mama's not the call girl Hank said! I don't like him bringing up my mama!" Alice said with a sigh.
"How can you think I'm your papa?" Ask Kevin in the normal tone possible, so as not to leave a probing impression.
"Two weeks ago Ms. Olivia, gave the task, fun activities with the family during the weekend, and must be with the proof, namely photos. Then I asked Mama, asking my Papa. And as you already have, mom always said, if Papa is in another state. And they have separated. Mama told me, if my dad was a smart guy, like me, making games. Then it can make robots and other amazing things. Then, I accidentally found a picture of you in my mama's drawer." Alice was silent for a moment taking a pause back.
"Mama has never kept a photo with a man. Even my mama's date, too, has nothing she's kept in her picture. However, it was your photos that he kept. Then I started thinking, this is a picture of my papa. I searched your profile on the internet, and found out that you are Kevin Mars. Then I searched for you, and found this address. I did it on purpose, because my mom was busy working last weekend. And I want to feel what it's like to have a Papa." Alice told Kevin everything.
The little girl's honesty, made her heart touched. However, in the depths of his heart he felt relieved, that the little girl was not his daughter.
Geck... Geck...
Joe knocked on the door of the room, and pushed the door slightly open.
"Alice, there's your Mama." Joe said, then Marry came up behind Joe.
Joe opened the door wider, giving way to Marry.
Marry walked into the room, he stood for a moment in the doorway staring at Kevin sitting next to Alice.
Kevin took his hand off Alice, and stood back to return Marry's gaze.
For the first time he saw Mary. Just like the one in the photo shown by Alice. And it's similar to what Kevin had in his dreams. However, at this time, Marry's face looked tired and dull. Maybe because of the long journey and after work Kevin thought.
Kevin turned his body, leaving the room. Before actually getting out of the room she approached Marry.
"Please don't be mad at her." She said late in Marry's ear. Marry looked a little, silent.
Kevin passes leaving Alice and Marry in the room to solve their problems.
"Alice. Sorry Mama, left you too long. Let's go home! Tomorrow we'll find the computer you want. I have enough money this time!" Said Marry smilingly looking at her daughter.
Alice, feeling guilty for her mother, hugged her back, and cried.
"I don't want Hank to say Mama's a call girl!" Alice said as she sobbed in Marry's arms.
"Sttts.... Nevermind! Just tell Hank his mouth is as chatty as mom!" Marry.
Alice looked at her mother and laughed.
"Yes, Hank's mouth is just like the mother of a gossiping mother." Repeated Alice while chuckling.
Not long after Marry came out with Alice. Now Alice's backpack looks fuller and denser. Alice hugged a pony doll and a gift tumbler while playing in the playground with Kevin last weekend.
Sophie, holding her sleeping baby, approaches Alice and holds her arm to go with her. Alice followed her aunt.
Marry approached Kevin and looked at him.
"Thank you for everything. If I need to pay the fee while Alice is here, then just take the bill to the coffee shop near your family's hospital." Marry said firmly.
Kevin just kept quiet, and still looked at Marry expressionlessly.
"And everything Alice said was just her delusion. Forgetit! Good afternoon!" The next step was firmly.
Joe only notices all the scenes, while continuing to try to remember Marry, because he felt he had seen Marry's face.
Marry walks towards Sophie, Ben and Alice, and leads the little girl out of Kevin's luxury apartment.
Kevin and Joe live in that apartment.
Kevin threw his body on the couch. Joe sat next to him, patting his boss on the shoulder.
Kevin breathed a sigh of relief after Marry, Alice, Sophie, and Ben left. They were still sitting on the sofa.
"Are you relieved, Boss?" Ask Joe.
"Come away!" Kevin's not sure.
Kevin leaned his head against the cushion of the sofa while glaring.
She should have felt very relieved, knowing that Alice was not her daughter. However, for some reason, it was as if something was missing at this moment.
Joe just frowned in surprise at Kevin's strange demeanor.
