Suddenly Papa

Suddenly Papa
Letting go of Justin

"Mom, Papa Kevin's taking us for a weekend together." Alice said as they were having breakfast that morning.

Marry stopped reading some emails about work, and looked up at Alice.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Papa Kevin's taking to the amusement park." Alice said with joy.

"Alice, mom can't promise. Mama promised Mrs Ruth to help with the weekend work tomorrow."

Alice pouted, while stirring the cereal stir in her bowl.

"Alice. That was my mom's last job for Miss Ruth. After that, Mama only focused on managing coffee shops and cupcake muffins. And we'll have plenty of time after this." Entertain Mary while smiling at Alice.

"But I want my mom to come with us. I want to be like other friends, have papa and mama." Alice is still a manyun.

"Of course, finish the breakfast. We'll be late for school." Said Marry while taking some items to bring to his shop.

Marry put some cake ingredients into the trunk, and put Alice's bag into the back seat.

Kevin accidentally gave Marry a car to make it easier for Marry to work. Take Alice with you. To work, or buy materials for the store. Or something else to ease the life of Mary and Alice as a form of accountability herself.

Even Kevin also handed over his credit card that has unlimited limits to Marry to be used to meet daily needs or to shop. However, Marry refused firmly.

"I've proven that Alice and I don't really need that money. We can still survive on the income I've earned." Marry said

Marry kissed her little girl's cheek fondly, then waved her hand.

"See you later, Mama!" Alice waved her hand at Marry, then ran into the school building.

In the distance a pair of eyes were watching Mary. Justin, who has not been able to accept Marry, abandons him a second time.

This time, he was determined to find Marry and demand an explanation.

Marry heads to the convenience store to buy some of Ben's ordered materials for their store.

While focusing on choosing some groceries, Marry was surprised by the presence of Justin who had been beside him.

Marry jumped and nearly fell. Justin helps hold Marry's body, and now Marry is in Justin's arms.

Marry hurried away from Justin's body.

"Jeez, Justin's scent really teases me! Why am I so unhappy in front of this man ?! Argggghhh!!" Mary's curse in my heart.

"Hi, how are you? Tumben in the morning already here?" Justin asked with a sweet smile.

"Duh, that smile of hers, makes the heart melt..." Marry said in his heart.

"You got a minute?" Ask Justin.

Marry was silent for a moment. Then he nodded slowly.

"Wait a minute, I'll pick some more stuff and pay for it first." Marry Sahut.

Justin nodded and followed Mary a little further.

Justin continued to look at Marry meaninglessly. Highlight those eyes recalled Marry at the time of dating Justin as a teenager.

It is not easy to get rid of the feeling of love for someone. But, this time, Marry is determined to release Justin.

Marry wanted to explain a few things to Justin. She wanted to be honest, that she had a child. And Justin will definitely have a bright future, if together with Mia.

*

"So, what do you want to ask?" Marry opened up their conversation that morning.

Luckily that morning, a famous bakery was reopened after a Sunday holiday.

"Why are you going, Marry ?" Justin asked as he looked into Marry's eyes deeply.

"Sorry, I've left you. Sorry for breaking your heart." Sahut Marry lirih.

They fell silent in the pause, the restaurant waiter brought Marry and Justin's order.

"I want your excuse for that? You know what, Marry? I really still love you and will always love you."

"But I can't."

"Why?"

"Because...." Marry sighed deeply for a moment, filling his lungs with plenty of air before admitting the reason to Justin.

"I've had a child." Marry said as he stared at Justin.

Marry's confession made Justin glare. " Child?"

"Yes." Yeah." Marry said clearly and without hesitation.

"It doesn't matter, Justin. Surely he's not your son? And I won't bother you. Your reputation is safe. And you can work quietly."

Justin remained silent.

"Alright, Justin. Go back to Mia. She's a good money girl. I'm sure he's loyal and will be a good companion to you." Marry said with a smile.

In his heart it was painful to say all that.

"Can I ask you one more time?" Justin looked back at Marry.

"Yes?"

"Is he my son?" Ask Justin curiously.

Marry shook his head.

"No. He's not your son. I'm not lying." Marry Sahut.

"That's why you left me?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Justin looked at Marry again. Then he stood up, and left Mary alone in that place.

Marry knew Justin wasn't a quitter. He'll keep trying to figure it out on his own without Marry's knowledge.

He was sure, Justin had been investigating him and Alice all along.

Marry walked over to his shop and worked as usual.

Suddenly his phone rang many times as he was busy baking cupcakes.

Marry grabbed her phone in the bag. Marry frowned, while reading the name listed.

Marry clamped with his shoulder in the ear, while finishing preparing the ingredients to decorate the cupcake.

"Yes, hello."

"Marry can go to the hospital?" William's voice sounded anxious.

"What's Will?"

"Nana fell and was unconscious."

"Geez!" Marry immediately stopped his activities, and properly held his phone.

"Here he's in special care at the hospital." Will said, his voice sounded trembling.

"Well, Will, I'll be there."

Marry rushed across the street and headed to the emergency room.

Marry's mind is fucked.

*

"Mary!" Call someone.

Marry looked. Emily called him.

"How's Em? How's Nana?" Marry asked in panic.

"I don't know for sure either. I also just found out from Will, who says that Nana can't be too tired."

Will gets out of the operating room, and walks over to Marry and Emily.

"How's Nana?" Marry and Emily asked.

William sighed before saying anything.

"Nana survived." William Sahut.

Emily and Marry looked at each other and breathed a sigh of relief.

"What a thing, Will. Nana's improving?" Ask Marry.

"Operation Nana has been completed, and Nana will be transferred to the treatment room.

Marry and Emily follow the nurse who pushes the bed to move Nana.

Marry looked at Nana who was lying weakly on the bed.

Marry prayed that Nana would come to her senses and recover.
