Late Pick up

Kevin ended the meeting by shaking hands with his client. They have agreed with everything.

Kevin and the client both smiled broadly.

Kevin drove his client outside from the meeting room with warmth as usual.

Joe was busy noting some important points of the meeting. Then he quickly sends Kim, Kevin's secretary who is good at doing work in the office.

Kevin has two confidants, Kim for the office, then Joe, for the rest. Even sometimes personal matters, Joe is the one who helps settle.

Rumors about the relationship with Brenda spread, Joe finally intervened by holding a press conference saying that Kevin was only friends with Brenda.

It made Brenda angry, but she finally realized, they were just having fun. They don't want to commit. What they do is just fun.

Kevin breathed a sigh of relief sitting in his work chair. He glanced at his watch, it was already five in the afternoon.

"Geez!!" Kevin jerks. He remembered Alice.

She was supposed to pick up Alice at school at three.

"Joe..!!" Call Kevin while shouting.

Kevin rushed towards the door. Just then Joe came along.

"What's wrong?" Ask Joe to worry.

"Alice." Kevin Sahut.

"Oh my God!!" Joe patted her forehead.

The two of them rushed out of Kevin's room in a panic.

Kim just stared at the behavior of his superiors and coworkers with astonishment.

Kim just shook his head, while continuing his work.

Joe was driving at full speed.

"Joe, I hope he's okay." Said Kevin slowly.

"It could be faster!" Kevin's orders.

"I'm at full speed, boss. It's home hours. The road's jammed." Answer Joe.

"Huh...!" Kevin stared at the densely creeping streets. He was worried what would happen to Alice, because she was late to pick him up.

After an hour they struggled with the streets, they finally reached the school grounds.

Kevin rushed to school. The gate was still open, but it was already very quiet. Only security guards and janitors were seen there.

Kevin walked down the corridors throughout the school and glanced around all corners.

The tail of his eyes saw a small body figure sitting in a corner of the school garden.

Kevin ran over to the small figure, and was right. Alice sat on the park bench, still waiting for Kevin to pick her up. Alice sat down while bending her knees.

"Alice. I'm sorry I'm late for you." Said Kevin.

Alice looked at Kevin and slid into Kevin's arms. Kevin returned the little girl's embrace. It's warm! Again, that feeling arises.

"I thought, Papa won't pick me up." Alice said in a loud voice. Finally the little girl's cry broke.

"Here you go, don't cry. I've picked you up now. Sorry, I had a job, so it was too late." Said Kevin gently as he stroked Alice's hair.

Joe who half-runningly followed Kevin, could only be stunned at the scene in front of him this time.

Never before had she seen Kevin going so sweet with a kid like this. He wanted to capture the moment with a photo.

Yeah, Joe took a photo of that touching scene.

Alice is now in Kevin's arms, walking towards Joe.

They finally went back to Kevin's apartment. But they stopped by a fast food restaurant and ordered a few menus for their dinner, before actually going home to the apartment.

That night, Joe stays at Kevin's apartment, to help take care of Alice, as well as to help with Alice's schoolwork that will be collected tomorrow.

The next day, they woke up and prepared to go back for activities.

"Good morning, Om Joe." Sapa Alice's.

"Hi!"

"Well, it's so fragrant!" Alice exclaimed as she sat in the kitchen chair looking at what Joe was making.

Joe smiled as he put his homemade pancakes on the plate.

"Wow, it's so fragrant! What did you make Joe?" Ask Kevin after the shower. Kevin each dries his hair, wearing a boxer and a singlet.

"Om Joe makes pancakes. Try that! Very tasty!" Praise Alice while finishing Joe's pancakes on her plate.

After breakfast they prepare to leave. Joe and Kevin drive Alice to school, then go to the office.

"I'll pick you up at 3." Promise Kevin while patting the little girl's crown.

Alice smiled broadly, then got out of the car towards school.

This time, Kevin picked up Alice at exactly three in the afternoon. Then take her to her apartment. However, because it was Friday, which made Kevin have to finish some work before the weekend, then after driving home, he returned to the office and left Alice in his apartment.

Kevin lets Alice play the computer in his house. And can play PlayStation, watch television, eat food in the fridge and food storage. However, do not tamper with Kevin's laptop in his room. Alice agreed, and was very pleased.

Kevin looked at Alice as if in disbelief. Six-year-old little girl, can make games that can be played crowded, with a light capacity, does not make the phone slow.

Elsewhere, during the break, Marry tries to contact Sophie, his sister.

"Hi, Sophie? Alice how? Is he troubling you?"

"Oh, Alice is not home. Maybe he went to Rubby's, as usual. Because this morning, I met her teacher, she said Alice was going to school for two days." Sophie.

"Ouch! I don't feel good about Rubby's mom if it's like this."

Sophie laughed at her sister.

"Sophie, it's a long time ago. It's your break time is over. I'll call Rubby's parents when I'm free. This weekend is the highlight, hopefully after the event I can contact him immediately." Marry.

Marry closes the call, and keeps the phone back in his locker.

He tidied up his clothes, then headed to the kitchen room to work again.

Marry works for the event organizer. For any occasion, banquets, parties, birthdays, even weddings.

This time the event organizer where he works is helping the wedding in Hawaii, the party is held exclusively. That's why Mary often leaves Alice to her sister, however, Sophie is also having a newborn baby, so Mary can't be so asked to keep Alice.
