Suddenly Papa
Secret

"I'm glad you could pick me up." Olivia Saay said on her way home with Joe.

"Kevin was kind, allowing me to go home early to pick you up. He asked Mike to replace some of my duties. He said so I could get closer to you and... I want to always be around you, Liv."

Joe looked at Olivia, then grabbed her fingers and kissed her.

Olivia smiled faintly, however, there seemed to be something stuck at that moment. He then pulled his hand from Joe's grasp

"What's bothering you?"

Joe looked back at Olivia.

Olivia glanced out through the side window.

He recalled, Joe mentioned a name when he was drunk the other day.

Olivia was eager to ask that, but, she was worried, Joe would dodge and lie. Olivia didn't want to feel the pain of being too hopeful for Joe ever since, even though her heart was desperate to be with him.

"Say, Liv! What's troubling you?" Joe pulled his car over, and grabbed the girl's chin to look at her.

Olivia was silent. His mind and heart were telling him to ask Joe, but his lips were twisted.

His tongue felt stiff, as if he could not say any of the questions that had plagued him all along.

"Who's Lana?" Finally, by strengthening her determination and mustering her courage, Olivia was able to ask Joe that question.

Joe choked. His eyes were round as if he wanted to be dislodged, he was very surprised.

DEG!

Olivia's heart felt like it was going to be dislodged when she saw Joe's reaction just now.

He hopes Joe will be calm and explain to him as he usually is, however, beyond belief. Joe was so surprised, even Olivia didn't expect Joe to be like that.

His heart feels sad. There was a sense of disappointment infiltrating his chest. Joe has other women besides himself.

"How do you know?" Joe asked with a look of surprise.

"So right. Is there anyone else in your heart besides me?" Strict Olivia with a stiffened face.

Joe took a deep breath. He tried so hard to forget Lana. A woman who was once a part of her life. His friend and lover.

They were friends since childhood, then liked each other, and established love. Joe promises himself that after graduation, he will ask Lana to be his wife. And it's gonna do it on Lana's birthday.

Joe has talked about it to his parents, to Lana's parents, even to his best friends, including Kevin, about the plan. And all are very happy, supporting Joe's plan, even Kevin is willing to be his male companion at the wedding.

Lana's parents were also very happy with the plan, and fully supported the show.

However, a week before Lana's birthday celebration, the fateful day happened. Joe's world seemed to collapse right then and there, and he felt he had no spirit of life anymore. His soul felt empty, and he just wanted to die.

Not only was Lana's family sad, but Joe's family and friends also felt sad to see Joe who seemed to be the undead at that time.

Joe wanted to forget everything, but today. Olivia brought up the name again. The name that Joe had buried deeply, so he did not want to remember it again.

The two fell silent, there was a sobbing sound from Olivia. He felt devastated, disappointed, and gravely disheartened when he learned of Joe's reaction.

Joe turned to look at Olivia and looked at her.

He realized that he had to say all that to this woman. All the secrets of his past that always haunt him. Joe felt that since being with Olivia, he had completely managed to forget about Lana. That was, why, Joe steadied his heart for this girl.

"I love you, Olivia." Said Joe.

Olivia was still crying, while covering her face with both hands.

Then slowly rub the handkerchief on the girl's face.

Olivia clasped Joe's hand which rubbed his face with a handkerchief.

"Why should there be him, if you love me?" Ask Olivia in a loud voice.

Joe did not answer Olivia's question at the time. He only smiled faintly, wiping the girl's tears gently.

After Olivia calmed down. Joe drove his car to a place on the edge of town.

Olivia just stared at the increasingly quiet streets of the settlement, then they arrived at a cemetery.

"Why are we here?" Ask Olivia.

"Come on!" Take Joe.

Joe gets out of the car, helps Olivia get out of her car, and closes the door.

Joe guides Olivia walking in the quiet-looking burial area.

Yeah iyeah... It is also called a cemetery... If the rame mall name is 😁

Olivia still looks confused.

"Joe, don't be like me!" Threat Olivia.

Joe just smiled amusedly at Olivia who looked daunted.

"Do you want to know Lana?" Joe asked, squinting his eyes.

"I-yes, anyway. But, where are you coming here? Isn't there some other place that's not spooky, Joe?"

Joe stops right in front of a tomb with a tombstone inscribed with Lana Spencer.

"This is Lana Spencer. He's been here nine years." Joe sounded sad.

Olivia stunned. He was silent and just stared at the tomb.

"I don't know, Joe. Ii'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Olivia said softly, without looking at Joe. He was still trying to remember that name.

"No need to apologize. You're not wrong. I'm the only one who's never ready to tell you about her." Sahut Joe's.

"Lana Spencer, the daughter of a conglomerate who donated her fortune to a children's hospital run by Miss Emily Mars." Olivia said in surprise.

"Yes." Yeah." Joe smiled, looking at Olivia.

"In addition, he donated his kidney to a child who was critical at the time."

"How do you know?"

"My whole life's always remembered that name, Joe. My mother struggled to pay for my treatment, despite being ill. And it turns out that some of the savings were seized by the irresponsible man. Since childhood I have been getting medical treatment because of my poor kidneys, and have to undergo dialysis twice a week on a regular basis. And the doctor said I'd live my whole life." Olivia said, she was silent for a moment staring at the name written on the tombstone.

"One day, while I was undergoing routine dialysis, a young woman cheerfully comforted the child in the hospital, giving various gifts. He was like Santa Claus at Christmas, who shared gifts and comforted us at that time. Then he took me out for a chat, and I told him my family's story, and the man's cruelty that he said was my real father, but instead tortured my mother, just for the sake of drugs. That woman also came to see me often and comforted me, in fact, she was my inspiration to become a teacher."

Joe still quietly listened to every story that slid from Olivia's lips.

"When my mother died, I became depressed, and my condition became more critical. That woman is seeing me more and more routinely. Until one day, my body felt very sick, and I could not feel anything else at that time. When I woke up, I felt better. You know, there was an angel who gave me two kidneys, Sophie's mother said at the time. And since then I have become healthier, and live until now without having to wash the blood again. No one told me who the angel was. But, while I was checking up regularly after the surgery, I overheard Lana Spencer's name from one of the doctors' rooms, which said that her kidney was given to a very needy child, at Lana's own request before she closes her eyes for good. My whole life owes him a debt of gratitude. The woman who saved my life was him, Lana Spencer."

Joe, who initially wanted to surprise Olivia, now turned surprised. There was something else she had not known about Lana. And one part of Lana's body, is still in Olivia's body.
