Chapter 45: The Distant

"You mean?" ask Gaea to panic.

There's no way Eryk would throw it away? He just said the young man was there for him.

"I can't talk about this in a public place like this. We're talking after Lola and Sebastian recover" Eryk said.

Gaea plays the ring that Eryk gave her, because they are busy, she forgets not to return the diamond ring, neither does Eryk ask for it.

Will this ring be taken by Eryk as well? The ring that kept them together until this very moment?

"Eryk," call Katherine. "You guys have been so long, I've been so worried."

"Of course, long ago, I had to take care of his administration." said Eryk.

Katherine tilted her head, staring fixedly at Eryk which made the young man throw his face embarrassed, "Did I see Eryk's boss blushing~?"

Eryk flicked his hand at Katherine and walked away, "I want to see Lola."

Katherine immediately gave chase, hooking her spoiled arm to Eryk's arm, "Don't anger Eryk. You know how much I miss you."

"Hm." Eryk answered accordingly.

Gaea threw away her face looking at the two of them who were so friendly as if there was no room for her to enter chatting with them. He learns his relationship with Eryk is fake, but seeing the young man show a facial expression he never saw at all shows how far Eryk feels about him.

Gaea and Eryk did have a hot kiss in the theater room, but there was no feeling at all there, just a momentary desire because it was provoked by the film.

Gaea sighed. Suddenly he misses his quarrel with Eryk ....

Sebastian's health recovered faster than Lola, only needed a full day's rest, the doctor was allowed to go home with the administration of some antibiotics and vitamins.

Lola is still not allowed, still to be hospitalized, as long as Gaea accompanies her best friend tirelessly. He only came home to change clothes, he stayed here because he could not stand the relationship of Eryk and Katherine.

Since the hospital talk, Eryk has spent more time in his bedroom or working on his business, occasionally passing by in the living room, but the young man did not greet him at all just staring intensely.

Gaea was frustrated of course, he was sad, Eryk even added to the sadness of his heart, he did not expect to always chat, for him the greeting was enough as proof of their relationship is okay.

Maybe Eryk is trying to keep his feelings and relationship with Katherine considering they just met again and fixed their quarrel.

To Gaea's amazement, Katherine always wanted to talk to him, trying to get along with him every time she came home. He has repeatedly shown rejection is still trying.

Katherine was too ordinary with him, not showing jealousy at all, maybe because she had won, so she was considered not a rival.

To be honest made her feel irritated the most times Katherine tried to chat with him.

Gaea closed the door to the room which was greeted by Lola's innuendo.

Gaea let out a small laugh, putting the fruit she bought with Rainer on the table.

Although this incident made him lose Eryk, there is a positive side he made up with Lola even blatantly his best friend forbade Katherine here to make Gaea calmer.

"Can you move your body?" ask Rainer.

"I'm trying, you know it hurts a lot" Lola said.

Gaea was eager to help Lola, but it was for the good of her health in order to quickly move her body, it was sad to see her best friend grimacing in such pain. He peels the apple intensely to make it resemble a rabbit, puts it on the plate, "I make an apple for you, eat it huh?"

Lola glanced at the rabbit-shaped apple, "I'm not a Gaea child, you don't have to shape it all." she lamented.

Gaea who had just finished washing her hands, laughed, "I purposely shaped it so you would eat it," she picked up the rabbit apple, thrusting at Lola. "It."

Lola timidly accepted it, chewing it slowly.

Gaea had flowers of his apple to eat, so he took it again, and Lola accepted it with pleasure.

"How are things at home?" ask Lola.

"That's fine." said Gaea.

Lola shook her head, "I repeat, how are things at home?"

Gaea stopped feeding Lola, understanding what her best friend was asking about her quiet self, she bowed deeply, "Still the same, she hasn't spoken to me yet."

"I swear he was so stubborn" said Lola ketus, "he always shuts people down, thinks to himself, especially now that there is a woman. Eryk's so annoying again, I don't understand what's so great about him."

"I never liked Katherine either." Rainer added, "he's suspicious of me. I balked at accepting him until I could figure out his background."

Gaea may be selfish right now, honestly he likes Lola and Rainer's dislike of Katherine that makes his wounded heart a little treated.

'Am I being a bad person because of that?' Gaea wondered in her heart.

Gaea himself could not answer.
