Chapter 63: The Truth (Rainer Part 2)

Gaea tightens her grip on Rainer's jacket, signaling not to follow Ethan's scorn. He himself was also upset to hear Rainer ridiculed, it is true if Rainer has a thinner body than Eryk, but that does not mean Rainer is different.

Lily glanced at Ethan and said, "You hear our guest?"

Ethan threw his face away, "I'd rather clean the yard than apologize."

Rainer thought for a moment, "Good idea. Bu Lily's yard had a lot of big piles of snow I saw earlier, so cleaning up the piles is fine."

"Because it's been snowing all night so it's no wonder" Lily said, "you cleaned it up after you ate, Ethan."

"What!?"

"You want to clean up the pile or say you're sorry for me?" ask Rainer without burden. "Pick it, I gladly accept it."

Ethan could not stand it anymore and fired a punch at Rainer's face which was now so annoying in his eyes, smiling in satisfaction at the man staggering over Gaea that they both fell onto the dark brown wooden floor.

"Ethan!" lily was full of emotion. "You got it wrong to hit too!? No dinner for you! Clean the page now!"

"But Bu—" Ethan was about to defend himself.

"Now too!" Lily cut sharply.

Ethan immediately ran out of his house, followed by Lily, want to observe his son's work is right or not, before leaving, he muttered sorry to Rainer.

Gaea groaned slowly holding onto her aching waist not firmly holding onto Rainer's much heavier and bulky body, she sat on the floor saying, "You okay?"

Rainer did not reply, feeling pain in the corner of his left lip, the blow was hard and sudden so he did not take time to avoid because of the effects of fatigue and jet lag, he said, immediately he took it on the living room table and put it on his cheek, groaning softly to see there was fresh red blood there, "Damn it," he said.

Ignored, Gaea ventured to touch Rainer's cheek, checked the man's condition, grimacing to see the corner of Rainer's lips tear even though it was small, "It must be treated quickly," he said.

Rainer just kept quiet, receiving Gaea's help moved him to sit on the living room chair, leaned back on the head of the sofa and groaned again while Gaea went to fetch the medicine box that was in the closet.

Gaea is happy to see her mother still likes to poke cotton, alcohol and antiseptic drugs. He picked up some cotton strands and a blue bottle bearing the words hydrogen peroxide, removed the woolen gloves he wore, cleared his hands of any bacteria or viruses that could have gotten into the wound while he was treating, when he finished, he returned to where Rainer was, unscrewed the bottle and poured the clear liquid into the cotton, "It's gonna hurt a little, hold it, okay?"

"I tried," Rainer said to her, and Gaea pressed the cotton pad against the corner of her injured lip, the cold sting that made her grimace unconsciously, "Aww ...."

Gaea ignored, continuing to do her work, "You guys, time is just this kind of wound, moaning her like a child?"

"That's not important," said Gaea, placing the plaster on the corner of Rainer's lips slowly, pressing it gently to stick.

Rainer touched Gaea's hand that was still on her cheek, looking straight at the green eyes in front of her, "If it doesn't matter, you'll definitely continue."

Gaea was stunned for a moment before then bowed sadly after, "Together with Rey and Rai, the people I missed the most until now ...," he said softly.

Rainer was also sad.

Rainer thought Gaea had forgotten, considering he had given instructions while in the park, but Gaea responded alot.

To be honest Gaea was still full from the sandwich earlier, but seeing her mother so carefree and enthusiastic made her nod in spirit as well, "Sure, Mom! What dinner menu, huh?"

"You're like you don't know!" said Lily. "Of course the menu is the pride of our city, the Alaskan crab!"
