The Aisyah Love Pier

The Aisyah Love Pier
Zaid's Request

Khaira is now asleep in bed at Zaid's uncle's house, which is empty because he is being left out of town, while Zaid sits beside Khaira. The man gently stroked Khaira's head which was still covered by the veil.

Though Zaid had proposed that Khaira open her veil when she wanted to sleep to make it more comfortable, but the little girl's words made her so amazed.

Khaira dear Papa, Khaira does not want Papa to go to hell first because Khaira opens the veil in front of Om, Om is not Khaira's mahram.

He remembered Khaira's words this afternoon.

Ummi is the candidate of his mother Khaira, Khaira very dear to Ummi.

"If the words of this child are true, then this child is very lucky to have a sincere and loving mother like you, I hope your husband will love you sincerely too, unlike me," he said with a bitter laugh at the end of the sentence.

"Assalamu 'alaikum, '" said a woman from outside the house.

Zaid who realized that it was Ayesha headed straight ahead to open the door. The woman completely obeyed her words by coming alone. Even so, she kept her distance from Zaid as she watched her ex-husband approach her.

"Aisha" said Zaid as he stepped back from Aisyah, realizing she was avoiding him.

"Where is Khaira?" ask Aisyah without further ado.

"He was sleeping inside" Zaid replied. "Sit down first" he continued, allowing Aisyah to sit on the chair on the left side of the table and she also sat on the right side of the table.

"Tell me what you want to talk about," said Aisyah coldly.

Zaid felt his heart slightly pinched when he heard the words of Aisha who no longer called him by the call 'Mas', plus the tone of her voice that was so cold, no more warmth from the woman was directed at him like before.

"Aisha, maybe you're tired of hearing my apology, but I'll still apologize to you, I'm sorry I hurt you ..."

"Just get to the point, I don't have much time" Aisyah said quickly without waiting for Zaid to finish speaking.

Aisyah really could not stand being around the man for long, because her heart's turmoil of hurt and anger tormented her greatly. Not that they do not want to forgive or make peace, but wounds are still wounds, once scratched will still leave scars.

Zaid let out a slow breath, he was about to open his mouth to speak, but he immediately became hesitant after finding Aisyah's cold attitude. However, he was reminded of his son, and his goal came to find Aisha also because of her child.

"My children had hernias and the doctor suggested surgery as soon as possible" Zaid said.

"Then?" ask Aisyah.

"My son also has hemophilia, yes. The surgery will increase the risk of bleeding, and I really need your help" Zaid said.

Aisyah furrowed her brows. "My help?" confused repeat.

"My son has blood type B-, I've been looking everywhere for people who have blood type B- or O-, but it's not in my place. If anything, they are old or sick" replied Zaid lethargic. "I know you have blood type B-, so I beg you for help" he continued.

"Then what about her mother? her mother probably had the same blood type," asked Aisyah again.

"Yes, her mother has the same blood type, but her mother is pregnant, she is banned from doctors for blood donation" Zaid replied.

Aisyah was silent for a moment, somehow her motherly feeling appeared right then and there. Zaid was wrong, but his son knew nothing, and his condition allowed him to donate blood.

"How's Ayesha?" zaid asked, looking at his ex-wife.

"I'll think again" he replied, rather he wanted to ask permission from his parents first.

"Well, think about it, I will wait for you for two days, please give me an answer that does not disappoint me.

Very selfish of that man. Back when he left Aisyah, he had not thought at all about how disappointed and hurt Aisyah was. Now when he needs Aisyah's help, he doesn't even want to be disappointed.

"Now where is Khaira? I'll take him home now." Aisyah moved from her seat as she approached the door.

Shortly after, Khaira came out while rubbing her eyes that were still a little sleepy.

"Ummi," called out to her in a hoarse voice and immediately hugged Aisyah.

"Let's go home, dear," Aisyah asked as she slowly pulled Khaira's hand.

"Om, Khaira went home firstwell, assalamu 'alaikum, '" said Khaira as she waved her hand.

"Wa'alaikum greetings" Zaid replied, waving his hand.

Aisyah finally went with Khaira using Zafran's car.

Not waiting for long, now they arrived at Zafran's mansion. Where Ibu Sofi was waiting for them, while Akmal had just arrived using Zafran's big motorbike. Yes, the man decided to follow Aisyah without her knowledge, so he did to ensure the safety of Aisyah and Khaira of course.

After a very tiring and anxious day, Aisyah has returned to her home. He rested his tired body on the bed.

His gaze pointed straight at the ceiling of his room, he contemplated Zaid's request. His poor son must have his help.

In the middle of his daydream, the ringing of a cell phone was shaking it. Aisyah immediately picked up her phone and instantly her eyes sparkled when she saw who was calling her at the moment.

"Assalamu 'alaikum, Ainun, '" said Aisyah began her conversation through a phone call.

"Wa'alaikum salam ukthi fillahku, where are you?" ask a girl named Ainun.

"I am at Abi's house" answered Aisha.

"Well, as cool as the holidays at his parents' house, how are Abi and Ummi?" ask Ainun.

"Abi and Ummi both thank God, I have indeed lived here, where are you now? Is your college over?"

"Alhamdulillah is done, now I am again at the airport, just arrived, loh why ..."

"Don't ask me anything, if you're curious, come here, I also need your help so you can accompany me somewhere."

"Well, wait for me, I'll go straight there after my parents' house."

Shortly after that, their call ended. Aisyah smiled happy and sad, so many sad stories that her best friend missed because she chose to disappear for a moment to focus on college.

Akmal arrives at Zafran's apartment as the night begins to dissolve, after making sure that Mother Sofi and Khaira are safe of course. He walked slowly into Zafran's room to see his cousin's brother.

Apparently the man was already asleep, Akmal approached Zafran's bed, he felt so hurt looking at his frail and pale state.

Akmal glanced at the calendar sitting on a nightstand filled with a circle of reminders of Zafran's dialysis schedule. Tomorrow is the next schedule.

"Bang, I promise to make you healthy again, may Allah ease my intentions," he said and immediately walked out of the room.

Right after Akmal closed the door, Zafran began to open his eyes, his tears flowing back after hearing Akmal's words.
