"Hm?"

Huo Bing turned her head and found what Xika saw.

"What else? Of course your shit."

Surprisingly, Xika instead looks interested in the black round object. He came out of the pool and walked closer to it. But just two steps away, he had already furrowed his brows and held his breath. He walked back and Huo Bing laughed at him.

"What are you approaching for?"

"I want to look at it more closely."

"What would you like to notice?" huo Bing asked as he shook his head.

Xika did not answer Huo Bing. He tried to watch the object from as close as he could.

"Hey, do you think this thing can be used?"

"of course. You can escape the enemy if you throw this thing."

"That's not what I meant. I'm talking about pills or something."

"Eitherway. I'm not a pill expert. But if you want to make poison it looks like it's gonna work."

"Poisons? Also true. I haven't experimented for a long time."

"What do you mean by experiment?"

"Of course mix up various poisons and find the right combination."

"Since when have you been able to make poison? Was the smoke you threw earlier also your own? I remember you threw it at me, too."

Huo Bing recalled the first time they met. He had wanted to ask about the fog but forgetfulness because many things happened.

"Well, those fumes aren't my creation. My father taught him. But at that time he made it with makeshift materials because our village was not as fertile as the land of these wolves. Then I started learning to make my own. Little by little I began to understand it and I was able to mix some ingredients to make it more deadly."

"So you've been learning poison since you were a kid?"

"That's how."

"Is your father not afraid of you being poisoned or something?"

"No. I can't be poisoned. Just like my dad."

Huo Bing looked at Xika in disbelief.

"No way."

"Why not?"

"Don't joke with me."

"I'm serious."

The bird looked at Xika and did not find the slightest hint of ignorant look in his view.

"Are you serious?"

"Why am I not serious?"

Huo Bing turned his face away. He did not believe the new facts. He just found out there are humans who are immune to all poisons.

"I don't believe."

"Huh? Why?"

"Show me!"

Xika gave a strange look at Huo Bing. It's obvious he doesn't want to. It just means one thing.

"So you're lying."

"I'm not lying."

"Then try poisoning yourself."

"No way."

"Why?"

"Because it doesn't taste good."

"........"

Huo Bing was speechless hearing Xika's reply. He thought the boy was lying, but if he lied, he would not use such an excuse. It seemed like to the child, poison was only a matter of good taste or not.

"Then try to find a good poison."

"don't want. There is no good poison. It is delicious only at the beginning, after that it will definitely be bitter on the tongue. It is also called poison. That's good as food."

Huo Bing was getting confused hearing Xika's reply. It seems the boy didn't really lie. But if he talks like that it means he's already eaten poison? He did not guess and asked.

"You're talking like that means you've eaten poison?"

"Of course it is. Otherwise, how would I know what it feels like? My father gave it to me."

Huo Bing gave a look of disbelief. What kind of father asks his son to eat poison? Increasingly remembered, Xika's father was truly a unique person to the extreme.

Xika looked at Huo Bing's gaze and knew what she was thinking.

"Dad said, I need to know the different flavors a new poison can concoct."

Huo Bing could not be more confused. What kind of poison concocting method is that? If all poison masters were to use that method, then there would be no such thing as a poison master in this world.

Then the boy walked over while looking at his surroundings closely. Who knows, he's found a new poison.

"What about that?" huo Bing asked as he pointed at a purple-colored grass that had thorns all around. The grass grew around a tree of the same color. But Xika didn't realize it.

"Can too. I never saw that plant. Unfortunately there was no Heiliao here. Otherwise he would have been able to tell which plants were poisonous or not."

"So what are you going to do with that plant? Eat directly?"

"Of course not." Xika looked at Huo Bing strangely. "Such a plant should be boiled first. How can you live in the wild without knowing the basic knowledge of poisons like this?"

"Shut up and show me."

Actually what Xika was talking about did not miss. Huo Bing did indeed barely have any knowledge of poison. He could live that long because of the blood of his mother, the Phoenix. The immortal flames that flowed within him neutralized some of the poison he received, so he was not too dizzy with the poison and had no intention of studying it.

But what Huo Bing did not know was that the 'basic knowledge' that Xika mentioned did not include the basics at all. It took a few years for the common man to know the characteristics and means of using poison just like Xika did just now. Her father said it was a basic thing, so Xika also said the same thing. He would definitely cause many poison masters to cough to death if they heard him speak like that.

Xika plucked a single sprig of purple grass then took out a bowl made of iron from her spatial ring of spoils. There were many precious objects that he did not expect but were useful to be in those rings. One of them is this bowl.

The current distance was not too far from the pond earlier, so he could control the water easily to fill the bowl. Then he made a bonfire and put the iron bowl on it. Xika had forgotten to shrink the fire but the bowl was fine, it seemed like the quality was quite high.

Under Huo Bing's impatient and curious gaze, Xika finally finished boiling the purple grass. The water he used became purple. Then he took out the grass which has now changed color to white. Xika looked at him confusedly.

But he doesn't care much about it. He smelled the purple boiled water and knew immediately that the plant was poisonous. He thrust the bowl at Huo Bing, to be examined.

"Kiss the smell."

Huo Bing brought her head closer and started sniffing.

"Yes, this is indeed poison" the bird confirmed.

"If I drink it and nothing happens, is that enough to convince you?"

"Mmm, yeah." Huo Bing spoke doubtfully.

In contrast to Huo Bing, Xika drank the bowl without hesitation, and immediately drank it to the point of not being left out. Huo Bing widened her eyes, not expecting Xika to just drink it.

"Ohh........." Xika burps. "Is that enough? Uh, it's sweet at the beginning, bitter at the end."

Huo Bing watched Xika closely for a few minutes and did not find anything wrong or hurt. But he still doesn't believe. He returned to Xika's dantian and examined the child's body from within. All his nerves, his cells, every muscle in Xika's body he examined completely and not one was missed. Everything is fine, it's going as it should.

The bird re-formed its body and gave a look of disbelief to Xika.

"So....you're not lying......."

"Of course not. Why would I lie to you?"

"Eitherway. I just can't believe that any human being is immune to poison. Uh! Also true! You can be like me too. You have something in your body that neutralizes some of the poison. No human being is immune to all poisons. You're only immune to some poisons."

Huo Bing was also aware that even though he had an immortal fire, it could not neutralize all the poison. Xika might as well. The boy furrowed his brows for a while then sighed. What he showed was not enough.

"Alright, alright. Just pick some plants that can convince you. I'll drink it. You go alone. I'll just wait here. I'm lazy to walk."

Huo Bing did not mind. He flapped his semi-transparent wings and flew through the forest. He picked up plants that had strange and striking shapes and colors before returning to Xika. About twelve plants he took.

"Didn't you trust me that much?" xika asked looking at the number of plants Huo Bing had picked up.

"I'm really not sure. Not disbelief, but a thing like being immune to poison is really a big deal. And I have to make sure. You'll be in danger if anyone else finds out about this. That's if you're right."

And Xika sighed again. He did not speak anymore and directly processed the plants that Huo Bing brought in different ways to remove all the toxins. It took me half an hour to really work everything through to completion.

He gave it to Huo Bing to check. So the bird could not say that he was lying. All of those plants are completely poisonous. And Xika ate everything casually, without a doubt just like before.

Huo Bing did the same as before. He examined the outside and inside of Xika's body. And find the result the same.

"Impossible........Not likely.....It's not possible.........How'd you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Neutralize all those poisons!"

Xika thought for a while then shook her head.

"Eitherway. I don't know."

Huo Bing was still dissatisfied with Xika's answer and tried to find a reasonable reason. But Xika didn't really care. His mind was distracted by something else.

"H, Huo Bing. It feels like the purple grass is getting more and more, huh?"

That Xika question made Huo Bing turn his head. Before the bird found a reasonable reason, Xika had already called out to him. He looked at the purple grass he had found earlier.

"yes too. The grass is more."

"Look, that purple color is spreading more and more."

Just like Xika said, the purple color in the thorny grass spread out and turned the ordinary grass into a spiny purple grass.

Huo Bing began to feel that something was amiss.

"Xika's. Retrogressive. Now." Now."

Xika stepped back vigilantly. His gaze never left those strange purple grasses. Then Huo Bing saw something. While perched on Xika's shoulders, the bird said,

"Xika's. The tree in the middle looks strange. Do you think the poison came from there?"

Xika so came to pay attention to the tree that Huo Bing was talking about. He could see faint ripples in the tree.

"You're right. It looks like the poison came from that tree. I felt the tree was covered in something. Can you check it out?"

The bird nodded. He flew and struck his claws around the tree. At first, his actions left Xika confused. But then he understood the reason. Huo Bing's claws tore apart something that seemed to be some sort of protector. And something fell off that shredded protector.
