Han Mang blinked his eyes a few times before completely coming to his senses. He tried to get up but did not succeed. He's back groaning.
Xika whispered something to Lang Jin and the others before walking over to Han Mang.
"How are you?"
Han Mang gasped. He raised his hand in front of his wound to defend, afraid that the person speaking would attack him.
"You don't remember?"
Han Mang lowered his hand then frowned. He stared at Xika for a while.
"You........"
"Xing Xika's."
"Ah, yes........."
Han Mang did not speak anymore. He looked around him. First on the tree where he hid before, then on the purple grasses that surrounded him and lastly on the wolves. Then he looked back at Xika.
"What are you doing here?"
"I want to ask you that too."
".............."
Xika looked at Han Mang for a moment before turning to the wolves.
"What's it gonna do?" yelled Lang Jin.
Han Mang who saw that asked back.
"Are they going to eat me?"
"Of course."
"What about you?"
"No. For the moment."
"Why are they asking you?"
"Because we're both human. And they think as humans, I'd be easier to talk to you than to talk to you."
"What do they want to talk about?"
"What are your goals, what are you doing and why are you here."
"Is this the Land of Wolves?"
Xika turned to ask Lang Jin. For now he had to give a gray impression to his relationship with the wolves. At least until he knew whether Han Mang was a friend or an opponent. And for that he had to pretend he didn't know where he was.
Lang Jin shouted something that was not heard clearly by Han Mang.
"Yes, this is the Land of the Wolves."
".........."
Han Mang was silent again. He thought of various things. Especially how to answer that question.
"Hey, I might be able to wait, but I'm not sure they'll wait any longer. You see that big wolf? He was already very impatient to feast on your flesh" Xika said as she pointed at Lang Jin.
"Can I just talk to the wolves?"
Xika instantly understood his intention. Han Mang didn't want him to know what he was doing here and what his purpose was. He doesn't care much either. After all, later he just asked Lang Jin. But it seems he can't just let it go.
"Of course."
Xika yelled at Lang Jin again. Again Han Mang did not hear it clearly. Xika looked back.
"No. Your surroundings are full of poison. They won't come any closer."
Han Mang stared at Xika for a while. And Xika could guess what he was thinking. Han Mang surmised that he had a pretty strained relationship with the wolves. It was clearly visible from Xika who was here, a place filled with poison. The wolves don't care about Xika's life. The reason Xika was here was not because she was a human, but because her life was worthless and could be sacrificed to anyone. Well, Xika will let him think as he pleases.
Han Mang thought for a while before finally speaking.
"I don't have a bad goal. I have no intention of disturbing the wolves. I came here accidentally. I just ran away. Wait until my wound heals, no, wait until I can move then I'll be gone soon."
Xika did not give a reaction Han Mang could read. He told the wolves what he said. Lang Jin retorted while growling. Xika looked back.
"Say, your answer is too vague. Your purpose is still unclear. How did you get here? Who are you running from? And they can't let you move, because your poison will destroy the plants. Ah, and whether they'll let you heal or not depends on your answer."
Han Mang clicked his tongue. He had expected the wolves would not accept that answer. Before he could think, Lang Jin had already growled back. Xika translate.
"Reply answer.Your time is not much. You can say goodbye to the world at sunset."
"I found a treasure." said Han Mang in the end. "I'm not alone. And we fight. I ran away from him. As for why I got here I don't really understand either. I only asked to be allowed to stay until my wounds healed. That'sthat's all. I'll go straight away and say nothing of the Land of the Wolves."
Xika told Han Mang's words to Lang Jin. The big wolf gave an answer and Xika returned to translate it.
"Tell me what the treasure is and you're allowed to stay."
"I'll tell you, if the wolves promise not to take it."
Xika looked over and returned to translating.
"Then he did not guarantee until when he could endure his hunger. He said he sometimes had trouble controlling his emotions and venting them with fresh meat."
Han Mang again clicked his tongue in frustration. He wanted to scream. But the wound on his stomach wouldn't let him do that.
"I'll say. But if the wolves get it, I want a share too."
This time Han Mang could hear clearly what was coming out of Lang Jin's mouth. And that's just a growl.
"Grrr........" (Agree. 80:20)
"No. 50: 50"
"Grr.." (at most 70:30)
"can't. It is a precious treasure. There would be a great war if other clans knew about the existence of the treasure. Even Spirit Beasts would join in. I can guarantee that. 50: 50. I can tell you where it is, but we have to divide it equally. If you insist on killing me, I can still give you the final signal. Even if I die, I will know about the whereabouts of the treasure. And you won't know where it is. Even if you insist on finding out, my clan will not remain silent and war will not be spared."
Xika went back to tell Heiliao. The wolf was a bit confused as to how to behave, so he just kept quiet. Fortunately Han Mang thought the wolf was thinking. After all, his face was flat and did not give much expression. Quietly, Xika gave a sign to Lang Jin. Lang Shu aside deciphered the sign because Lang Jin was not good at reading the sign.
And Lang Jin barked savage. He bared his teeth and made his saliva drip.
Han Mang looked a little scared because of Lang Jin's actions. Then Xika spoke. This time not to translate but because of his own thoughts.
"How about 40:40:20? Why don't you count my whereabouts?"
Lang Shu whispered something to Lang Jin and the wolf barked back at the beast. This time it was even more savage than before. Then he gave a growl a few times and Xika put on a thoughtful expression.
Han Mang turned to him, wanting to know what the wolf was saying.
"Does he agree?"
"Say, he should receive at least fifty-five percent. It can't be less than that. Regarding the remaining division, I am free to discuss it with you. So I guess all I have to do is talk to you."
Han Mang did not answer him directly. It takes time to think. Since the wolves had already agreed, it seemed like it was okay for him to delay the time for Xika for a while.
"Previously at the tomb, where were you teleported? Why don't I see you?"
Xika replied to that question with a question.
"Has everything been teleported to the same place?"
"Not really. Just part of it."
Xika nodded.
"Well, I just transferred to a different place."
Han Mang was still unsure of Xika's answer but he did not find out more.
"So? Are you willing to share with me? I don't mind getting ten percent. Five percent is okay."
"I'm not sure you can keep the treasure. You'd better just let it fly than your life."
"From what you're talking about, the treasure doesn't seem to be something as singular as an artifact. Otherwise, you won't talk about division. It should be something that can be shared. Even if it's an artifact, there might be some. Or maybe.....a mine? Element Crystals?"
At the moment when Xika said mine, Han Mang's expression changed. Then the next sentence made Han Mang calm down again.
The Elemental Crystal was quite valuable. On top of the gold coins, there was a higher tier, namely: Spiritual Stones. Spiritual Stones are further divided into three levels, namely low, medium, and high. The quality is determined based on how much qi the stone contains.
Like Spiritual Stones, Element Crystals also had the same level: high, medium, and low. The Elemental Crystal was actually a Spiritual Stone, but it contained certain elements thus making it even rarer than a Spiritual Stone. Despite that, Han Mang's expression became relaxed when Xika said the Elemental Crystal. That meant what Han Mang found was more valuable than the Elemental Crystal.
"I can't tell you. Maybe I'll change my mind if you tell me your background. Where the hell are you from?"
"Before I tell you, I must ask you something."
While saying that, Xika took out her knife. Han Mang furrowed his brows when he saw that.
"What?"
"You're a friend?"
Xika placed her knife close to Han Mang's neck preparing to slash it.
"Or is it an opponent?"
