Lang Jin returned in the morning along with Lang Shu and a few other wolves. He brought Lang Shu because the wolf could read the mark Xika gave him. Just in case Xika gives another sign.

He approached and saw Xika still sleeping. It growled to wake Xika up.

But he failed. Instead, it was Shu Mang who woke up. He did not sleep well and woke up easily. Maybe because he was still not comfortable in this foreign place. Well, it was only natural that he was still not sure if he could open his eyes again or not if he closed his eyes.

Shu Mang sees the arrival of the wolves and wakes Xika up.

"Hey. Wakes up. The wolves are looking for you."

Xika remained asleep.

Lan Jin barked savagely to wake Xika up. Shu Mang was even to the point of being surprised and thought Lang Jin did that out of anger at him. But all Xika did was open her eyes for a while and then close them and change her sleeping position to her back to the wolves.

"Dam! Xica! Wake up! The wolves will eat you!"

But Shu Mang's remark was not very useful. The child simply blurted out a voice that sounded like an indistinct murmur. He did not open his eyes.

Lang Jin again barked. Once again, Shu Mang was shocked. But not with Xika. He still sleeps well. Either because he is comfortable in this place or because it is innate who likes to sleep.

Lang Jin thought for a moment. He did not know what to do to make Xika wake up without talking or touching him at all. All he could do was growl, but it didn't work. He'll try again.

The black wolf gathered all its strength in its mouth to let out the loudest sound it could. Then he opened his mouth and came out a sound that was enough to make Shu Mang jerk even though he was awake. Lang Jin's efforts succeeded. Xika wake. But he opened his eyes casually without being surprised or feeling guilty at all. It was as if what sounded was a cock and not the savage growl of a wolf.

Xika was still half conscious. But fortunately he did not speak, otherwise he would have dismantled his charade yesterday. He looked around for a few seconds before realizing what he was doing last night.

"You have come." Xika looked at the wolves. Then on Shu Mang.

Then Xika walked over to Lang Jin. And Shu Mang saw the wolf take a few steps back before taking Xika away.

As Xika walked closer to Lang Jin, he gave a sign to retreat without being seen by Shu Mang. Lang Shu besides translating the Xika sign. Lang Jin is a good actor, only he is not good at reading signs.

They continued walking until they arrived at a large tree that blocked Shu Mang's view. Lang Jin asked Xika.

"How's it?"

"How's what?"

"That man, of course. What did you know?"

Lang Shu at the side was shocked.

Lang Jin asked again.

"Then what else do you know? From whom did he escape? Why did he get here? What treasure did he find?"

After that Xika turned her head and looked for the wolf figure that helped her treat Shu Mang yesterday. The wolf raised its head.

Xika nodded. So the wolf's eyesight isn't that good.

"We have not formally known. My name is Lang Yao."

"Ah, yes. I'm Xing Xika."

"I know."

"What are we going to do now?" asked Lang Shu who had been silent since the topic of conversation was outside of his mind.

Xika looked at Lang Jin. The black wolf stared back at him. He was the first to speak.

"We'll go report this to the leaders first before taking any further steps."

"We have to check his condition first."

Lang Jin thought for a while then nodded. "All right."

Lang Yao walked over to Shu Mang.

"Ah, one more. In front of him, don't talk at all. Just let out a growl."

Lang Yao nodded. He saw what Xika did yesterday. He understood what purpose Xika had asked him to do.

Then they walked together towards Shu Mang who was lying in the middle of the thorny purple grass.

"What are you talking about?"

"I have to meet the wolf leader. They need my testimony. You should wait a little while. Ah, this wolf is the same wolf that helped me treat you before. He'll check on you first."

Then Xika turned to look at Lang Yao.

"Hows it? Can you cure him?"

Shu Mang was speechless hearing Xika's question.
