The Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunter
Chapter 34: After that

Although Riki managed to defeat the person who did the abomination around him, he did not feel happy. For him this was very terrible, as he tried to protect many people the hope was immediately shattered with ease. How many bodies he had seen was even compared to what he wanted to achieve.

Riki was sitting on the sand of the beach as if he had lost his soul. Before long some of Mei Ling's men had sprung up to take care of everything.

"You okay, Riki?"

"It's okay, let me rest for a while."

"Alright, leave the rest to us" Mei Ling said and hurried to give directions to her men.

Riki begins to tease himself, as a man who only comforts himself by saying he will save people but in reality, he only lets people get killed.

He thought, If only he had the strength to go back to the day before he would have fought to save everything.

Hope that sounds stupid to him.

Shaking his head at his own thoughts despair flooded the contents of Riki's head, But suddenly a small hand coiled around his neck, the hand was as white as snow but as warm as the sun in the morning.

That hand was Nina's, while Pricil was standing behind the two.

"You've fought hard.. Don't blame yourself" the voice sounded sad and worried. Pricil. "It's our fault we should have been here longer."

Riki just kept quiet, then stood up he was about to walk away, however, Nina held onto his sleeve for a moment.

"What the hell am I just trying to calm myself down."

"We understand."

Nina and Pricil accidentally met with Mei Ling during Riki's departure, they were invited to eradicate stealth elsewhere but unfortunately something like this even happened.

Police and ambulances are flooding every beach. They began to gradually move the corpses from the location. The number is too much to make the evacuation run slowly especially plus journalists and people who participated to see the disaster made the team of officers overwhelmed.

Nina and Pricil sat in the long chair watching. Nina pressed a button on her phone to contact someone.

"Sir Albert, it looks like we'll be staying a few more days, something terrible is happening here and Riki needs time to calm herself down."

"I see, it doesn't matter Mai doesn't mind koq either."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Will he be okay?" Pricile asked.

"Just calm... I'm sure Riki will be back as usual."

"I hope so."

Shortly after someone came to the two, his breath was still wheezing from running around.

"You two are okay, I just saw the news and came straight here, where is Riki, is she okay?"

"For now it's just like that..."

Words restrained.

"He blamed himself."

"Where do you know that?" Ask Nina.

"It sounds familiar but I think I understand a little bit about him. He also just saved my sister, it's my fault if I just forbid him to come to the hospital, Riki would be able to save all these people."

"And let your sister die.... Why are you two, look, it's nobody's fault, we can't stop something that has to happen, if we have to blame!"

Pricil shouted so, making the two pause for a moment.

"Whatever happens, we must return to the usual attitude so Riki will also return as usual, you understand."

Both are small.

"We better get some rest, come on Nina."

"Ah.yep."

Luis could only see the departure of the two from a distance.

After the talk Luis returned to the hospital, which was already dark when he arrived.
