The Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunter
Chapter 45: The Battle of Mai

Mai pulled her katana elegantly while in front of her was a man in an all-black suit who had previously appeared in front of the car she was riding in, her skin as white as porcelain and hair covering one eye, and her eyes, an aura of abnormality emerged from his entire body.

Not long the man laughed.

"You hear that? The screams and fears of men are delightful."

Mai tilted her head and replied.

"Don't get me wrong, I don't care about humans, you want to kill him or not, it's none of my business, I just came here to kill you no more."

Attacked by those words, the man frowned.

"You don't care about people even if you're human."

"That's how it is" Mai quickly replied and continued.

"Humans are hypocrites who deceive others for their own benefit, killing each other is not natural."

The man laughed.

"You'd rather join us than on the human side, how?"

"Ah sorry, I'm not interested. All I want to do is kill that person."

Mai shakes her head left to right after saying so. She added.

"Let me ask, are you the owner of that tree?"

"really. My name is Hexigon Fallen."

"If I kill you, will that tree die too?"

"Of course."

"Well, I'll know after killing you too."

"That's obviously impossible."

Hexigon smiled wryly as Mai was already in front of her while swinging her katana.

Using the momentum, a scar was already carved into Hexigon's body so that he retreated keeping his distance.

"Teleportation is really troublesome," while saying so a chain had already stuck out in his right hand.

"I'm the type to have fun before killing its prey, but when I see you I'd better kill you as soon as I get the chance" Hexigon said her true heart and Mai replied with a grin.

At a glance, humans and demons seemed to reverse their position.

They fought each other in the air within a few minutes and then jumped crashing to kill each other.

Hexigon threw her chain forward. For the first throw Mai can get away, though, but for the second Hexigon managed to wrap around Mai's legs and then with a strong pull style he slammed Mai through the building until it was destroyed then pulled back up before slamming it down.

It looked so painful how the damage looked so severe.

"Your power is great but we already know your weakness, your teleportation takes time from time to time until it can be reused, as it is used then the time you need longer, right?"

Mai chose silence and stood back up.

"Hoh. I became excited to cut up your body, comfort me to limp yes," he said as if he was aroused by it, while the man seemed to have difficulty dealing with his behavior.

What was clear was that Mai was abnormal when compared to other humans.

The two of them attacked again, Mai jumped while slashing her sword in the air to send a wind slash. Hexigon managed to avoid it but Mai had appeared in front of him Hexigon was able to pass the next slash but Tidka with a kick Mai.

He slid through two buildings before hitting an electric pole on the shoulder of the road.

"Damn," he shouted.

Not wanting to just be quiet he also increased his abilities.

Mai again sent out the sword vertically, at the same time the Hexigon chain could hold her back. Mai's face looks upset but Hexigon does not bother.

Mai hunted like a wild animal, turning her sword as if to slash when it was just a trick to be able to kick Hexigon back.

This method is more effective when the enemy only continues to be directed at his weapon.

The hexigon was thrown backwards a second time.

Buried in the rubble, a chain shot out with Mai as its target. Although he ran, jumping to and fro the chain never stopped chasing him. The one-on-one path just slashed.

Pliers.

Katana collided with the end of the chain that resembled the spear to produce a flash of light. It was only a short while until the chain moved back through Mai's left shoulder.

With one slash Mai can break the chain and then throw the rest off her shoulder.

"How, the pain was pleasant." the man in black suit was already standing as he looked at Mai in pain.

"Not bad."

"The next one will be even worse."

Now two chains are now targeting Mai.

Mai put her katana into her scabbard in a sideways position.

"Secret technique, first slash."

Once the swing was beautiful, the blades of wind flew at lightning speed, the two chains were cut neatly as if they were more fragile than a wood while the blades of wind continued to lurch forward targeting the Hexigon standing at sculpting.

He jumped to the side in the final seconds so that only the building behind him was cut into cubes.

Realizing Mai did not stop attacking, Hexigon pointed her hand. Before the chain appeared. Mai was already standing under her arms ready to slash and a hand just flew away from her.
