The Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunter
Chapter 46: Head of Fallen

Mai again swung her sword parallel to Hexigon's neck, suddenly a woman first appeared to catch him easily.

Mai who was shocked, disappeared and reappeared far back.

Hexigon was still holding her severed right arm while the woman who had just saved her smiled at him.

The woman was white and wore a slightly open white kimono, her purple hair was braided forward and there was a mole under her left eye.

"You're careless, I told you, can't beat him now, look at your hands like that."

Hexigon simply clicked her irritated tongue in return.

Now the woman turned her eyes towards Mai.

"I'm sorry for his irreverence if you intend to let him go we'll leave right now."

"It was so hard, my sword couldn't take it off just like that," Mai replied bloodthirstily.

"Hmmm a cursed sword huh, a sword that will slash anything it passes by indiscriminately."

"You know what, this sword is so bloodthirsty, I have to keep killing otherwise it will kill me."

The woman smiled bitterly, obviously what Mai said was mostly a lie. The sword only moves according to its owner's orders and it is obviously cursed because Mai herself used it to kill humans.

"Secret technique, first slash," for the second time Mai took out her technique.

Only, the kimono-clad woman flicked her hand as one hand touched Hexigon's shoulder, at the same time their body changed places with Mai herself.

"What?"

It was fortunate that before the slash hit herself Mai had already teleported.

"Almost you kill yourself."

As she weighed the gravel in her hand, the woman said so.

The stone disappeared, changed with a hand. Of course it's Hexigon's severed hand.

The woman smiled after giving a handcut to Hexigon.

"My name is Riel, the head of an organization called Fallen," she gracefully introduced herself.

Mai chose to ignore and said.

"Your ability is like teleportation, only you need an object to move.... It's very exciting, let's fight."

"Sorry, but this is not the time, I'm making a show for all of us, if we're done we can kill each other later."

A big question mark appeared in Mai's mind.

"Later you'll know... If that time comes, you can beat me, I'll give you this."

In Riel's hand was a fox-like mask with the number 9, not only Mai, Hexigon looked equally surprised.

"Chairman, since when do you have a demon mask?"

"Before I form Fallen I already have it. I have no hesitation in using it when the time comes."

Riel turned her gaze to Mai.

"We have to go now, see you later."

"Wait a minute, ah they escaped."

Mai immediately squeezed the erphone in her ear as the two changed places to stone.

"You can trace it," Mai asked.

"They've disappeared."

"What about Riki?"

"He'll be fine I just sent him the weapon he asked for."

"Then I'll just go back to the base"

"Don't be Mai....Have you forgotten something important?"

Mai placed her finger on her lips, trying to remember what Nina said and gave up at the same time.

"What about?"

"Es cream, ice cream, you have to replace it before you come here."

"The cruelty.I'm hurt, you know, later."

"Nothing later, it has to be now."

"Well, fine," replied Mai limp.

"Don't forget the three additional escreams, as an apology."

"Basic greed."

Nina smiled with satisfaction as she leaned against the back of the chair while Albert, who was sitting on the sofa, was sipping his coffee, looking calm.
