CHAPTRE. 15 - STAR FLOWERS

”She just threw away the trash. But, why hasn't Mom come back since?” muttered Shin Yixuan who was waiting on the porch of her front yard. He was upset that Shu Ye kept talking to him. He who rarely spoke to children his age, felt awkward when he had to speak a thousand words in ten minutes. He was even rendered speechless by her regarding the rose that died instantly after coming into contact with her.

”Hei! What's on your neck?” shu Ye asked as he pointed towards a purple-colored crystal clad in Shin Yixuan's neck.

”I don't know. My father gave it” replied Shin Yixuan.

Shu Ye watched him for a while. Shortly after, he felt like he remembered something before he forgot everything. ”... I seem to be starting to remember. There are some people who talk to each other about a bright purple crystal like yours. He said that the crystal was a heart fragment belonging to the Demon King who was about to die. If one were to find one of its fragments and eat it right then and there, he would gain immortality and rapid regeneration! Why don't you just eat it? It will be very expensive if sold!”

Shortly after, there was the sound of footsteps that sounded closer and closer to the two of them. Directly without hesitation, the two stared at the young man who was walking towards them with a woman who looked bloody when seen from her clothes.

”Dad!”

Shin Yixuan immediately ran up to him as soon as she realized that the two of them were Luo Hein carrying Shin Buyen in her hand. ”... What's wrong with Mom? Why is he hurt?” asked Shin Yixuan who directly stopped Luo Hein's footsteps.

”He is fine. Just fell asleep.” short Luo Hein who then walked back and was followed by Shin Yixuan from behind.

As he passed Shu Ye standing on the front porch, Luo Hein briefly looked at him coldly as if he was guessing something unclear. However, in the end he still walked in regardless of it anymore.

As he had entered into Shin Buyen's room and Shin Yixuan followed him from behind, Luo Hein turned around and flicked Shin Yixuan's forehead to make her push back. ”... Stay out! Go and get me a star flower! The shape was round and yellow then there was a red pattern on each end of his petals.” after explaining it, Luo Hein immediately closed the door loudly without giving Shin Yixuan a chance to ask him.

”Wait! Daddy's! Where can I get it?!” shin Yixuan shouted as she banged her door hard. However, it did not make Luo Hein open his door and answer his question.

Shortly after, Shin Yixuan finally gave up on persuading Luo Hein to open the door. He goes out and meets Shu Ye who is playing with a black snake. ”The switch is not a toy! Let him go!” shin Yixuan exclaimed which made Shu Ye stop instantly while the snake crept into her house.

”Haah,... Too bad. It was very exciting.” said Shu Ye disappointed after the fun ended.

”Don't play around with snakes! What if you get bitten later? It is possible that the snake has a very dangerous poison.”, said Shin Yixuan as she walked up to him.

”Huh! Just chill! My body is immune to any poison. Not long ago there was a scorpion that stung me and until now I was fine.” explains Shu Ye while boasting of her.

Shin Yixuan silently did not respond. He then walked towards the forest without bringing anything and it managed to make Shu Ye feel curious about him. ”... Where do you want to go? I have to come with you!” shu Ye exclaimed as he ran after her.

At the same time, Luo Hein seemed to be watching him from behind the door that was opening. His gaze looked cold and his fist looked tighter and tighter. Behind him, there was already a Guju serving him a long time ago. It seemed, they had heard all the words issued by Shu Ye regarding him.

”You've tested it? He said, any poison does not work in his body.” Luo Hein told Guju behind him.

”You said you were looking for star flowers? I think there's something strange about what you said. But today I am very lonely and want to go for a walk. So, I'll just come with.” said Shu Ye who did not get an answer from Shin Yixuan. ”... Oi! Not just anyone can ignore me like this! I just knew there was someone who was capricious like you.” he continued while climbing and approaching Shin Yixuan who was already on it.

”Don't say much. You will run out of energy and can not climb anymore.” said Shin Yixuan.

”It will be very quiet if we don't talk to each other. I will also forget how I should talk to you and what words I deserve to say to you.” Shu Ye said as she looked at him.

”That's why I don't understand every word you say. Next time, say it on a piece of paper and I'll read it myself so I don't have to listen to your free speech.” Shin Yixuan said.
