CHAPTRE. 22 - CARRYING FIREWOOD

As the man pulled the two away from the pursuit of the magical beasts, their faces looked shocked as if they could not believe their eyes were currently gazing with a giant bear behind them. ”I looked at my own death. I should have known animals were animals. He couldn't possibly understand human language.” Inner Shu Ye who looked nauseous after seeing the bear's saliva dripping onto the ground.

”Shu Ye! You okay there?” asked Shin Yixuan who looked curious to him.

”Strong handle!” exclaimed the young man who immediately threw himself into the deep enough lake along with Shu Ye and Shin Yixuan who were still being carried by him.

For a while, they continued to remain silent in the water while watching the bewildered-looking giant bear after he lost the figure of the young man earlier. Soon after, the bear decided to leave the place without bringing anything. And once they knew that things were getting better, the young man immediately pulled Shu Ye and Shin Yixuan back to the mainland in their wet clothes.

”Thank God he's gone.” muttered the young man while adjusting his breath that had been stuck in his throat.

”Heh! What the fuck are you?! Come to us and bring a big problem! What if we were also eaten and turned into dirt later?!” snapped at Shu Ye who looked furious yet, this silent mouth was instantly covered by the palm of Shin Yixuan's hand that came at him.

”Sorry Young master. Previously, we did not know what made you chased by a herd of magical animals like before.” said Shin Yixuan who tried to mediate between the two.

”You think I'm a coward? I will definitely tell you the big thing what I just met in the nest of magic animals.” said the young man who did not want to lose. He also pulled out two sword-sized canine teeth that had previously been taken from a giant bear chasing him earlier.

The young man flicked his finger then, in front of them, appeared a stack of firewood that had been cut into pieces very neatly. Obviously, this firewood is not the wood they cut. ”It's done, right? I even made it better than you guys did.” the young man sneer who then disappeared from the sight of the two of them.

”Huh? That guy's just troublesome. We are even farther from home moreover, a pile of firewood must be carried on the back up to the house.” Shu Ye muttered while watching him.

”You will really walk by carrying it?!” shu Ye asked who looked astonished as if he did not want to do so.

Shin Yixuan looked at him expressionlessly and asked, ”What can you do now? Don't talk too much. We have to go back before sunset.” he said as he walked ahead of him.

In a small residence inhabited by several tens of people, currently the figure of a young man was seen standing there surrounded by a corpse without a heart. Her hair was ponytailed in her black clothes that had been covered in blood that did not belong to her. Both of his hands, which had sharp nails, had torn their bodies apart.

”I didn't think it would taste this sweet. Not too bad. It is fitting that the seventh king always visits here for dinner.” said the young man with a smile grinning at the image of himself reflected on the surface of blood.

”Is Your Majesty satisfied with all this?” asked the other young man who was standing behind him at this moment.

In the afternoon, Shu Ye and Shin Yixuan finally reached her home with a pile of firewood behind her back. Both of them looked tired after continuing to walk for a full day coupled with the burden behind them.

”Ahh! So tired! It felt like I wanted to take off my legs.” Inner Shu Ye who instantly laid her body on top of the front yard terrace.

”You feel tired because you keep grumbling along the way.” Shin Yixuan said as she put the firewood.

”You two are back? Why once afternoon?” asked Shin Buyen who immediately walked over to the two as soon as he saw her.

Shin Yixuan directly stared at Shin Buyen and replied, ”Tadi, there is a little problem but, we can solve it easily.”

”Cih! What is easy?” inner Shu Ye who still looked annoyed.

”Then, clean yourself up and go inside. I will prepare food for you.” said Shin Buyen as he turned around and walked away leaving the two of them.

As he was about to go inside, Shin Yixuan had heard the laughter of Shin Furong who seemed to be together with someone even though Shin Buyen had just gone out earlier. He began to get curious about someone who was there.

When his steps stopped right in front of his entrance, he saw a white-robed young man who seemed to look very familiar to him. The young man was like he was playing around with Shin Furong who was laughing with him.

Shin Yixuan tried to pay attention to him for a while ago, beside him Shu Ye finally came to her. As soon as he saw the young man in front of him, Shu Ye immediately exclaimed, ”Ah! He was that strange young man earlier!”
