EXTRA 1 - LONELY MONSTER
Once upon a time, in a dark and silent valley. There comes a human monster who always feels hungry. There were so many human corpses trapped inside his valley and boldly, they pointed their swords towards the starving Monster. As a result, they also end up being bones that will later be buried in the ground by itself.
However, the monster always felt lonely in silence. His job was just to eat and continue to eat all the living things that dared to break through his place. Every time he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him, he would eat the creature and leave his bones alone.
No one understands the feeling of loneliness she is experiencing right now. Constantly staying still and waiting for his prey to come, it made him feel bored and very eager to be outside his valley.
However, sometime when he would walk back to his throne made of human bones and magical beasts, the thing he had never expected finally happened. Unknowingly, a six-year-old boy clasped his lonely hand. For hundreds of years, he had never felt this feeling. It felt very warm as if he was feeling the affection of a human child.
Unexpectedly with the thing he had just experienced, the Monster immediately stared towards a small child standing next to him. He felt both shocked and angry because for the first time he let a boy roam his valley. He was not even aware of his arrival and with his leisure, the boy walked down the valley.
”You! How dare you be in my valley! I will definitely eat you!” said the monster who immediately pushed the boy backwards to fall and bring up his sharp nails in front of him.
However, the boy looked ordinary as if he was not afraid of the threat before him. He continued to stare at the monster expressionlessly, as if he had given his entire life. ”If you want to eat me, just do it. Besides, I have no desire to survive longer.” said the boy.
The monster laughed and asked, ”Are you just testing me? It's possible that you came to kill me and bring your own group of troops. You think I believe in the words of man?”
The boy remained silent and looked at him expressionlessly. ”... Why not kill me to prove it?”
The monster folded his hands and asked, ”What's the matter? What makes you so desperate to die? Does your life mean nothing anymore?”
”My life means more.” replied the boy. ”... I do this because I am so lonely and live in endless solitude. I wish I had never been born. If I had known that I would end up like this, I might have decided to die long ago.”
Hearing that, it certainly made the Monster feel very surprised. He did not expect that there was a human child who felt lonely like himself. This boy can get into his valley, not because he doesn't know it. Rather, this child also felt the same feeling as him. This sense of loneliness that does not end, unexpectedly can also be experienced by human children like him.
”Indeed, what event has just befallen you to the point of wanting to die in my hands?” ask Monster.
The boy looked back at him and replied, ”When everyone goes and just stay you're alone standing there or, when everyone is acting weird towards you so you feel wasted by them. Of course, feelings only appear in your heart and then they are interpreted by the brain signaling that you are lonely right now. I might be able to deal with them if they came one by one. However, they all came simultaneously so it made me think to just end it.”
The monster standing in front of him felt bitter after hearing that. The long-awaited answer by him finally came and came out of the mouth of a boy who slipped into his valley.
”Is my story not so interesting for my sister? Or, would you like me to say another answer?” ask the boy while slowly pulling his undergarments.
The monster knelt before him. With a look of pity from looking into his desperate eyes, the Monster touched both of his shoulders. ”Did you just tell me the truth?” ask Monster.
The boy then nodded his head in the belief that his words were true.
The boy shook his head and replied, ”I don't know. As I recall, I fell from the top of the ravine that was there.” he said while pointing towards a cliff that was illuminated by the sun that was about to sink.
The monster was stunned and said in his mind, ”There is the dwelling place of the humans! So true! He this is a human child.” his inner being while staring at the child back.
The monster then reached out his hand and said, ”Come here! I'll take you home.”
The boy looked surprised and immediately asked, ”Didn't brother want to eat me? Why not do it now? I've been so sure I want to give my life to big brother!”
The monster then hit her head slowly and said, ”You think, by eating you I will be full for ever? I'd rather eat a monster smaller than me than eat a human child like you.”
The boy was shocked after hearing that. Before long, he immediately grasped the monster's hand and said, ”Sister said like that because, brother wants me to live longer? In fact, I've told my sister everything that I'm so lonely.”
”Death is more painful than you think even though it happened just for a moment.” Monster said while carrying the child on both hands. ”... I'll take you home now. I hope you can take advantage of your life even longer.” he continued while climbing the cliff that was not far from him.
”Why is big brother so good and take me off so easily? Wouldn't the Monster be so angry if the place was visited by another creature?” ask the boys.
The monster snorted and said, ”So, from the beginning you already knew that I was a Monster?”
The boy fell silent and just nodded his head.
The monster smiled faintly and said, ”So that is, the reason why you want to die so badly on my hands?”
”.....”
Shortly after, they finally reached the top of the cliff and for the first time, the monster saw that there was so much light illuminating every house that was inside the forest. He was amazed by such a sight. However, with the arrival of night, his form was slowly transformed into a very terrible Monster.
”Sister! Your hands look strange.” said the boy who had been standing in front of him while looking at the Monster in confusion.
Not wanting the boy to know his true form, the Monster immediately descended from the top of the cliff. However, before he actually left, the monster asked, ”What's your name, young man?”
The boy was shocked and silent for a while. Before long, the arch of his lips began to form slowly and he replied, ”My name, Shin Furong Mr. Monster.”
