CHAPTRE. 32 - SCORPION

”You can't see the road properly?” asked Shin Yixuan who was directly holding Shu Ye's body when she was about to fall backwards.

Shu Ye himself felt extremely shocked and his face instantly froze as soon as Shin Yixuan could come sooner than he expected. He immediately stood back up and his face quickly turned awkward. ”... What did you come here for? I didn't tell you to follow me, did I?” asked Shu Ye who immediately folded her hands and turned her attention away from Shin Yixuan who looked astonished by her attitude.

”You think I'll wait for you to stay in town and leave you alone while you'll spend the night here?” answer Shin Yixuan. ”... Besides, I told you, right? Don't come here!” he continued while pulling Shu Ye's hand back.

”Ehh! Wait a minute!” said Shu Ye who immediately took his hand and continued, ”I still want to go inside! Do you have the heart to let me live with the curiosity that fills my mind even to death I might not calm down before I see it!” Shu Ye did not breathe and did not give a pause when he said that.

”You are curious but, I am the one who is anxious here! Let's go home!” shin Yixuan said resolutely while pulling the reluctant-looking Shu Ye away.

However, just as the two were about to leave and had just taken a few steps, Shin Yixuan suddenly stumbled as soon as she felt something stinging inside her shoes. Shu Ye who saw him was also surprised and immediately asked, ”What's wrong? You just stepped on a rock?”

Shin Yixuan immediately sat down by bending her knees and replied, ”There is something stinging inside.” she replied while trying to open her boots aided by the disbelieving Shu Ye.

When his left shoe was removed, the two stared at a small scorpion crawling at his feet. Quickly, Shu Ye immediately took it off and threw it behind.

”How can the scorpion creep into your shoes?” shu Ye asked who looked surprised after seeing the wound in the form of a dark circle with a red line that looked like a human nerve.

”How do I know!” Shin Yixuan immediately replied, ”It's your fault for constantly playing with scorpions until she vents her frustration at me!”

”Hah? Why should I be blamed? Besides I'm sure the scorpion that stung your leg wasn't the scorpion I found at home!” replied Shu Ye firmly.

”It's your fault! Because you forced to—” Shin Yixuan immediately stopped her words when the poison began to spread quickly. He also did not expect his body to freeze as soon as the poison began to work and slowly gnawed at his entire organs.

Shu Ye seemed to have noticed it as well. He immediately tore off his robe and tied it to Shin Yixuan's left leg so that the poison would not spread quickly. ”Do not move! I did this for your own good.” Shu Ye said as she lifted her leg and sucked out the poison that was still left there.

Shin Yixuan simply fell silent in shock while looking at him. He probably would have never expected Shu Ye to do this for him even though, he knew that he could not do it alone.

Shu Ye spat out the poison that had already been sucked by him. Slowly, the dark circles faded and the nerve threads no longer appeared on the surface of his skin. A while later, he finished doing so but, it could not remove all the poison that was in his body.

”Just a little bit I can get out. Maybe Lady Shin can do something for you.” said Shu Ye who looks ordinary. He then grabbed Shin Yixuan's boots and put them back on. And after everything looked fine, Shu Ye stood back up then continued, ”Why shut up? Didn't you ask me to come home?”

Shin Yixuan froze while lowering her gaze. He squeezed the ground under his hand and shortly afterwards he replied, ”... I don't want to go. But, there is something that has been waiting behind there as well as that which is ahead here."

Surely not long after, there appeared a group of scorpions who walked up to the two of them with a fairly fast and agile movement. Some of them even have the size of a wild wolf.

”You're right. Maybe I'm the one who's wrong here. Right now you can't move much so that the poison doesn't spread faster.” Shu Ye said as she stared at the scorpion herd vigilantly.

”Whisper once.” sniffled Shin Yixuan who instantly picked up a stone and threw it towards a giant scorpion in front of her. ”... You think I'm gonna ask you for protection? No kidding! I can't do it!”

Shu Ye snorted then he said, ”Don't ask for my help if something bad happens to you again.”

Shin Yixuan directly replied, ”I should have said all that to you.”

The two continued to look for gaps to move away. However, this swarm of scorpions was too much to make their steps stop for a few minutes. Until any time, they will not give the opportunity to move freely. Then, there was no other way but to fight them with violence.

Shin Yixuan directly pulled Shu Ye away from the place. With only a dagger in his right hand, he split the bodies of scorpions of different sizes so that, making their way open very wide.

”I told you! Don't move much!” shu Ye exclaimed which immediately accelerated his pace and then swept Shin Yixuan's body and helped her run by jumping over some tree branches that were on top of them and the roof of the people's house made of wood.

The little scorpions stopped chasing them. However, the largest scorpion still chasing them despite having to pass through a wooden roof whose number is not yet known.

”How can he jump from roof to roof when he is one family with insects?!” inner Shu Ye who looked surprised.

Shin Yixuan was not just silently waiting for him to do something. He immediately took out a tiled house made of stone and then he threw it at the scorpion running behind him. Although it did not hurt him, at least the scorpion's movements slowly slowed down.

”Hei! You just shut up there! No need to do anything!” said Shu Ye who was still wiping it.

Shin Yixuan looked at him expressionlessly and replied, ”I'll get tired quickly if you tell me to just shut up.”

”But, if you move, the poison will spread even more!” said Shu Ye once more.

”I told you I don't want to be a waiter!” said Shin Yixuan in a soft voice. After that, he suddenly fell to the side unconscious and that made Shu Ye feel pulled by him to fall with him.
