CHAPTRE. 46 - VINES

After dropping down from the top of the cliff and drowning along with the current of water that was quite swift, Yu Yuanyi was finally able to hold on to a tree root that was on the edge of the river. Before he could save himself, Yu Yuanyi placed Shu Ye on a riverbank filled with wet grass.

Yu Yu Yuanyi's breathing was breathless as if he had just walked around the city by running non-stop. Half of his body was still submerged in the water and his entire energy had been drained away after he tried to resist the sharp and piercing water currents.

He looked at Shu Ye who was unconscious after being out of breath in the water. He was happy that he was finally able to save Shu Ye from the incident but, he was also very sad about having to leave him.

In order to correct all the wrongs he had done to make Shu Ye so depressed, Yu Yuanyi planned to erase all of Shu Ye's memories of her family and leave only her name alone.

He placed his palm in front of Shu Ye's eyelid which was still closed. Although he looked so tired, he took the time to say amidst the light that appeared from his palm, ”Be like the sun that always glows even though the water continues to water it. Just moments before when Shin Yixuan had just entered the residence, she was startled by the appearance of dozens of vines instantly moving against her with spear-like tips. He immediately dodged and looked for a place that could not be reached by them. However, the plant continued to attack like it did not give him a gap to sigh.

”Even his strength is not around here. There is no way they are taking him out of this residence.” muttered Shin Yixuan who was standing on one of the roofs of the building while paying attention around.

His steps then moved back after the plant attacked him again. He tried to dodge all the attacks and split the plant with his sword. However, it seems that all the resistance he did ended in vain. The plants were growing longer and more ferocious! It was really like a magical beast that lost its wits.

Then, suddenly this voice buzzed in his ear, ”... I will help you but, I will also ask for payment after this.”

As soon as this man finished ending it, there appeared hundreds of white threads that instantly split and bound the vines that attacked him incessantly. As soon as he saw it, he immediately knew that his darkest side offered a favor that was certainly not free!

Once given the chance, Shin Yixuan immediately jumped towards a large building like a hall. His pace was so fast and unimpeded after the threads had emerged from within the ground. Then, when he was in the building, he saw that there were many vines that were binding someone's body in it.

As if not thinking about his own circumstances, Shin Yixuan directly split the vines that bound Shu Ye's body. And after everything had come off, he quickly pulled her over and took her to a place far away from them.

However, as he did so, the vines behind him briefly wrapped around his stomach before finally, being cut off by his sword.

In this state, it was impossible for him to put up a fight that made his enemy even stronger. Shin Yixuan continued to carry Shu Ye's body towards somewhere uninhabited by the roots and plants that were still blinding.

Then, when he was treading on a small building, accidentally the roof of the building was destroyed so that it made him fall and go inside.

”No enemies here?!” inner Shin Yixuan who looked surprised and stared at a room that was very similar to a storage warehouse. There was so much firewood still piled neatly on the side of the room despite being covered by dust. In addition, there was no smell of blood spreading everywhere. There was only the smell of dust lingering throughout the room.

However, all of a sudden he was silent as soon as he felt that something was continuously absorbing his spiritual energy. Then, after he saw his own stomach, there was a wild plant with green leaves, had grown there and became a parasite that absorbed his spiritual energy.

But, in this state, he still had to pull Shu Ye's soul back into his body even though back then, Wang Ye said not to get hurt at all.

Shin Yixuan leaned Shu Ye's body against the wall of the room. His hand pressed down on Shu Ye's chest and tried to drain his spiritual power into her body.
