Chapter 13: Saved by Lightning.

I lay in a puddle when the photo shoot took place. With my hand firmly landed on Earth, I could feel the planet talking to me, and I momentarily forgot the time and place. When the shooting ended, I saw Dov lying on the other side of the car. Looks like he's dead. I woke up, and I saw that Dov's colleague from the police station approached me . I feel relieved.

"You saved me! The deceived man brought me here at gunpoint, talking about conspiracies and such. ” I said timidly.

"Stupid girl!" T him MAN exclaims. “Dov correct . "Here is a conspiracy within the security agency, which allows the operation and funding of attacks******," he continued.

"So, I don't think you're here to save me?" I retaliated.

The man laughed menacingly and replied, “You're fine. Dov Dorevitch kidnapped and killed by ***** foreigner, Sabina Hines. I, Special Agent Jakub Kluger, intercept ***** and kill him when he tries to escape. " The man replied with an evil grin on his face. I observed it carefully, planned my next move, but I said nothing.

Jakub raised his weapon and pointed it at me. "There's a last word?" He asked in a mocking tone. I can feel the aura . I know that the sociopath in front of me wants me to beg for my life, to make it myself feel strong, but I will not give up on it. Instead, I answered defiantly.

“There are last words? I have 94 years to think about it. I'm warning you, however, put that gun down and give up, or things will end badly for you! "

I could feel some hesitation as it reached Jakub's mind. I wish he was the man who killed from behind his desk, by ordering others to do his dirty deeds. Killing an innocent girl while looking into her eyes would not be easy for her, especially not when that innocent girl was me, a girl with the power bestowed upon me by a True Maker.

A dozen very tense seconds happened . Suddenly, I could feel that Jakub was going to shoot me. Being able to sense his thought patterns in advance, I managed to time my actions perfectly . I jumped away, dodged the bullet, and landed on the ground, on the two sides it took for Jakub's mind to send a signal to his finger pulling the trigger. His shot missed, as I landed safely in a puddle of mud. From my position, I could see that Jakub changed his goal to take another shot at me, and there was no way I could have avoided this shot.

I stood up, and observed the two men on the ground. I wanted to save Dov, now Jakub is telling the truth, but it's too late because he's dead. Jakub was alive, but unconscious, and dying from a lightning strike. I can save him, but he deserves to live? If he is revived, there is no evidence against him except my words, and if things get worse, I will be a scapegoat for Jakub and the people who work for him . If Jakub survives, the conspiracy can continue to kill and hurt innocent people, so they can maintain their strength through intimidation and fear.

I learned Jakub's gun lying on the ground next to him. I feel interested in taking it. If people come out to kill me, I need to protect myself. I shook my head at the idea. I don't have the right to take people's lives, it's not a mandate given to me. If I take a gun to take another person's life, I will fall . Killing that guy is not the path I want to take.

I decided to leave Jakub to die, because I did not feel compelled to save the person who had tried to kill me . I entered this Dov car and drove back to the main road. As soon as I approached the main road, I got out of the car and ordered an AutoCar using a Dov phone, as it would be unwise to drive around in a car stolen from a murder victim. I directed AutoCar to drive me to a hidden building, where I paid for a room using cryptocurrency. I know that the Mossad still has my phone and my passport, which is a complication, but I have to settle for what I have.
