The Future of Princess Sabina

The Future of Princess Sabina
Chapter 36: Pre-wedding Anxiety.

A few months later, I was sitting in the green room of a beautiful wedding venue in Rose Bay, overlooking Sydney Harbour. I am stressed and frustrated with my wedding planner, but not for the usual reasons. My frustration is that my wedding planner has continued to annoy me with unimportant details for months. Banquet menu, wedding decorations, from which company we should buy wedding flowers, from where to get the cake, etc. I assumed that hiring a wedding planner and giving him a budget of millions of dollars would be enough to run a smooth wedding, but I was wrong.

What frustrates me more than my fussy wedding planner, is that I can't get my wedding gift for Alex to work. I knew that in the 23rd century, the oceans would be cleared by self-replicating fusion-powered marine robots, but I could not get the team of engineers I had hired, he said, to build a working prototype. The technology does not exist yet.

But I wanted to give something that meant Alex as a gift, because I knew that he really wanted the ocean to be clean of plastic and polluted water, so I've settled on building a solar-powered marine prototype. The machines could not replicate themselves but were achieved with current technology. Those machines won't be enough to clean up the ocean, but at least it will be a start that inspires hope.

There was a knock on the door, and many were worried about me, it was not my prototype delivery, but my wedding planner. I knew from anxious looking at her face that something had happened. "Sabina, I have some news that I don't like" he began.

I struggled to hide my frustration and gave him an empathic answer: "Say, Amanda."

"The Flower Shop hit the van, and the wedding flowers were destroyed" Amanda replied. " Oh, no! I'm Jenny, okay? ” I asked. "She had a bruise and a small concussion" Amanda replied, almost crying. "good. I'm glad that's not all bad. You can go see Jenny at the hospital if you want. Tell him I can't come today, I have to be at the wedding venue, “my and try to lighten the mood with a smile. "But... What about the flowers?" Amanda asked in a loud and panicked voice.

I decided to use my empathetic powers to calm Amanda down. I had my own concerns, and I was unable to focus on small things like Jenny's minor injury, or the absence of flowers at my wedding ceremony. I grabbed Amanda's hand and looked her in the eye. Then I spoke calmly to him: “Don't worry about the flowers. We'll be fine without them. Now visit Jenny in the hospital and come back when you feel better. ”

I noticed how Amanda's facial expression changed, and she looked more peaceful than I'd ever seen before. "Okay, I'm going to visit Jenny in the hospital" Amanda replied, and wiped away her crocodile tears. "good. Tell Jenny to focus on her recovery. I will pay interest, so he does not have to worry about that, ” I replied. “Thank you, Sabina. I'll go see him soon, ” Amanda said, and he left the room.

After Amanda left the room, I wondered why I had not used my strength to calm her down for so long. The last few months I would have been much easier if I didn't have to deal with his frantic and stressed nature. But then I realized that I was not given this supernatural power to stay away from any discomfort in my daily life. The True Creator gave me this power to fulfill a purpose, not to always have a smooth sailing through life.

"Yes, but it's still in the prototype stage" he replied.

" It's okay. Have you set up a place to slide presentations and speech notes? " I asked him with a concerned voice,

“ Yes, but shouldn't you be the subject, because you gave this as a gift to Alex? I've just built the prototype you requested. I am not a good public speaker, ” replied Tony nervously.

“Yes, it gives more credibility when a senior Marine Scientist presents the topic to the public, than I did presenting it. Besides, I was the bride at the wedding. People want me to be beautiful and ready. I will not present a serious topic of wearing a wedding dress. Sometimes you have to give the community what they expect, ” replied me calmly.

“Wait, so the wedding is for the day? " Tony asked confusedly.

I smiled, realizing how much I had confused Tony. "Yes, the Ocean Cleanup Project is my wedding gift to Alex, and I want you to give it to all the guests." I reply

When Dr. The confused Tony Phillips left the room, I was filled with excitement. It will be a wedding to remember, and today will be an important turning point for our beautiful marine life.
