Chapter 25: An Impossible Hero.
I looked up and saw Martin Al-Sham drop his smoking gun on the ground. Beside him were the bodies of two other Templars and the body of Ben Judah. Suddenly, Martin knelt to the ground and started crying.
" Michael and James were best friends, but I killed them." he said.
"Why did you choose to save me, if I may ask?" I asked.
“Yes, I don't think I'm a big fan of unity through genocide. The main reason I stayed in the Order of the Templars for twenty years was to find Keila Eisenstein and to show him the tattoo I gave to the Zetans. " Martin answered and knelt beside me. " How did you survive being shot multiple times?" Martin asked.
I stood up and studied the enchanting and mystical foreign crystal. It had already stopped shining, and it looked dull, like an uncut sapphire. "I must have been saved by the healing power of this Zeto crystal" I replied.
" The crystal seemed to be draining of energy," Martin replied with a hint of disappointment in his voice.
"It will re-energize in time, at least we save it from being stolen by the bad guys today" I replied.
“Yes, that's the main one. Do you need help getting that bullet out? " Martin answered.
I studied my body. All the bullets had penetrated as deep as a centimeter with the back of it hanging out of my body. They will leave me scars as a reminder, but I will survive. “I'd rather take it off at the medical center. Removing the bullet here, without a chance to get stitches immediately and disinfection, can be deadly,” I said.
"There's medical equipment in the Templar safe house, which I can use to sew you up." Martin answered.
I reflect on my choices. Martin Al-Sham is an assassin, and there is no guarantee that he will not try to kill me to steal the Zeto Crystal for himself. Then again, if that was his goal, why didn't he try now? I decided that seeking his help was my best option and spoke up. "Thank you, Martin. Can I borrow your cloak? I don't want to walk there looking like a messy pine board, full of holes and bullets. ”.
"Sure, here it is" said Martin and handed him his robe.
Before we left, I sat down next to Simona's corpse and whispered softly to her. "I'm sorry for dragging you here. I'm sorry for disappointing you and causing your death. I'm sorry that I can't be the lover you need, ”my heart is sad.
It may have been my mind trick playing on me, but when I studied her beautiful face, I could see a slight peaceful smile, as if she was happy with her end on Earth. After this, I got up and left the room without looking back.
Chapter 26: Learning the Motivation of Martin Al-Sham.
Moments later, I was in the Templar safe house where Martin and his colleagues worked during their stay in Jerusalem. I needed to get medical treatment, and while I preferred to visit the right hospital, it would have been a nightmare explaining how I survived getting ting shot thirteen times.
"Do you want some pain killers?" Martin asked.
“No, I don't believe in using drugs to blunt my common sense. Whatever I will feel, that's what I want to feel, ” I replied.
" Yes, I'm sure." I reply
"good. It's gonna hurt a lot! " Martin said as he started to take out the bullets and disinfect the bullet wounds.
I'd be lying if I said it was a pleasant experience, but the pain I felt from Simona's death was worse than the physical pain I experienced. I let my guard down, and I started crying like a baby. "Are you sure you want me to continue?" Martin asked in a concerned voice.
"Yes, this needs to be done." I replied, grimacing in pain. After a while, the pain subsided, and I regained consciousness. I decided to find out more about Martin, so I talked to him. "So, why are you working with Ben Yehuda and Mossad when you disagree with their views?"
Martin looked around the room before he answered my question.
"Yes, you'd think I'd be crazy if I told you." Said Martin.
I smiled warmly at Martin and spoke to him softly. “ Would it comfort you, if I told you that I had lived once before, in the distant future, he said, and that I ask the True Maker to turn back time so that I can be reborn in this timeline. In addition, I intend to find a genetically appropriate sexual partner, so that I can give birth to my future mother and raise her as my daughter, to take her to this timeline. Do you believe what I just said? "
Hearing this, Martin smiled widely and spoke. " Okay, you must have won in the crazy story competition!"
" Exactly, so what's your story?" I asked.
Martin nodded and replied. “My story is that I visited Egypt in 2019. I found a mysterious crystal in an Egyptian market, it looked like a miniature version we found today, and I went to the Pyramid of Cheops for a tour the next day. Unbeknownst to me, the crystal I hid in my pocket emitted an unusual space energy, which opened a portal to another dimension. I went into the portal, and there I met some extraterrestrials Zetan, who claimed to be the god of mankind. They gave me this glowing tattoo and urged me to show it to Keila Eisenstein. I woke up in the hospital a few days later, knowing that I had an important mission in life from then on. I joined the Templar Order a few years later when I realized that we were looking for the same thing. "
"And what about now?" I asked.
"Yes, my time is over" replied Martin.
Martin let out a heavy sigh before speaking again. “The others will come after me, so will Mossad and the police when they find out what I've done. The important thing now is to make you and Zeto Crystals safe. "
"Is that something you can help with?" I asked.
"Yes, you're lucky." Martin answered.
"Why is that?" I asked.
“Ben Yehuda takes your passport and belongings seized from Mossad. He also secretly deleted your notes. He wants you to take him to the Zeto Crystal without telling the others. I'm f I can take back your stuff from his house, then it will be easy for you to leave Israel.” Martin said confidently.
"Okay, let's go. The sooner I get out of here, the better, ” I said, while feeling hopeful and excited. Martin nodded and, we left the house to take back my belongings from Ben Yehuda's house.
