Chapter 20: Fake ID and Cover Story.
A few hours later, Simona returned with a new identity card. I am now Madeline Berkley, and I am a 28-year-old archaeology professor, who is here to study the Temple of Solomon. I studied the credentials carefully, and although they wouldn't go through a thorough examination, I could always use my strength to influence if things got hairy.
“I brought makeup,” Simona said. His statement baffled me; we are undertaking a dangerous undercover mission to recover an ancient artifact . Why do I need dandan?” Simona explained herself before I could say anything "Facial makeup to make us look older."
"Oh, great." I said shyly, embarrassed that I did not immediately understand Simona's intentions.
As Simona carefully put on my makeup, I realized how similar we were. He was also very multi-talented, and I asked myself if he had also been sent by a higher power to help me with the mission. I didn't think about it for long, because Simona finished quickly. I learned my new face. I obviously look older, and the colored lenses and wigs help too.
Hopefully, I can disguise myself as the real Madeline Berkley . To do so, I needed to learn a lot about archaeology quickly. I accessed the internet and used my photographic memory to gather a lot of archaeological knowledge. It was an interesting subject, but I just needed to know the basics in order for my cover to work, so I went off the internet and switched to Simona. “ Now, I know everything I need to know, to blend in as an archaeologist . “ I said
Simona looked at me in disbelief. "Is that what you just did when you quickly scrolled through the text?" Simona.
"Yes." Yeah." I retaliated.
“It took me years in elementary school to learn all those things,” Simona said.
"Some people never learn, even though they've been in school for years" I replied.
Simona smiled at me and spoke. " So, Miss Madeline Berkley, are you ready to see the catacombs of the Temple of Solomon?"
I replied, “Ya, Miss Arya Simon, I am very grateful that you showed it to me.” After that, we left the safe house and headed towards the Temple of Solomon.
Chapter 21: Affecting the Guardians.
A few moments later, we arrived at the Temple of Solomon. The sun started to set, and most visitors headed home, but we had other plans. We walked to the tunnel entrance ward and were approached by a guard.
Simona spoke Hebrew to the guard for a while, and then the servant turned towards me. "So, Madeline Berkley from Australia, why are you here?" She asked.
“I am here to hold a personal academic tour of the catacombs of the Temple of Solomon, with my research associate from the University of Jerusalem, Miss Arya Simon,”.
"That's impossible." Tia kept answering in a loud voice.
“Catacombs closed by order of the Israeli government. It was a national security issue, ” replied the guard, with an insecure tone in his voice.
I studied that man. He was standing guard alone, and I could feel that he was easily influenced. He would definitely be in trouble later, if he let us pass, but it was important for me to go through and uncover the secrets that were in the catacombs. This is a constant dilemma in life . Rarely is there a clear cutting solution between right and wrong. While I had to get down in the tunnel, I didn't like the prospect of punishing this innocent employee. I ignored my moral objections, grabbed the man's arm and looked him in the eye convincingly. “We have to go to the catacombs tonight. Strange things are happening there, and we must stop the perpetrators from causing more damage to the people of Jerusalem, and to humanity as a whole, ” I said.
The guard shuddered and stuttered an answer. "But they know that I'm working alone tonight, if I let you through this entrance, they're going after my family."
"Who are they?" I asked.
"The mighty men in the robes of the Templars, working with that authoritative and evil government official, Ben Judah," the guard replied.
I looked at the man with concern, but I could feel the excitement growing within me. We're close to something. " I'll be honest with you," I started . Tia kept looking attentively as I continued to speak. “We are not actually university scholars. We are here to save humanity from slavery and fear. "
I realized from the fear in the eyes of the guards that I had made an important mistake. I should have kept my facade, but now there was only one way to advance, to move forward. I focused my psychic energy, grabbed the guard's arm tighter, and knocked him unconscious with the psionic shock I sent with my mind .
"What are you doing?" Simona exclaimed in admiration.
"I knocked him out, he wouldn't cooperate, that's the only way" I replied.
"But how do you do it?" Simona asked.
“With my strength. I don't have time to explain . We gotta move! ” I urge Simona. He nodded, and together we rushed down the stairs towards the catacombs below, leaving the unconscious guard where he was.
