"Are you serious?"
"Of course."
Emma let out a long sigh of relief. "Since my father was very agitated. Thomas, you saved my father's life!"
Thomas shrugged his shoulders. "It's nothing."

After one night, everything got better.
Thomas was still up early as usual. After getting ready, he wanted to go to the morning market to buy vegetables. Who knew if Johnson woke up earlier than Thomas today?
"Tom, let's go. I'm going to go buy vegetables with you today."
"Huh?"
While Thomas was still dumbfounded, Johnson happily took him to the market.
As they buy groceries, Johnson continues to praise Thomas as he meets people he knows.
"Mother Norris, look, this is my son-in-law, Thomas. He looks good, doesn't he?"
"Mother Klein, my daughter-in-law just got back from the military. He was very good in battle!"
"Mother Elon, to be honest, my daughter-in-law is very kind. She's very devoted to me and my wife."
"Father Dunkley, look at my son-in-law, he's very kind and handsome, right?"
Jhonson continued to praise Thomas along the way, and he would tell anyone he met.
After they walked around the stalls selling fish, vegetables, fruits, and meat at the market, everyone now knew Johnson had a good son-in-law.
Thomas kept his head down. She felt so embarrassed.
The man now couldn't wait to get home. He was so afraid that Johnson would meet anyone he knew and start chatting again. Thomas never felt so scared even when he was fighting an enemy on the West Coast.
"Hey, isn't that Mr Clarkson? Let's go...."
"Oh, okay, let's go home."
As soon as they got home, they saw Emma walking out of the bedroom with her sleepy eyes.
"Breakfast is ready? I'm starving." Emma rubbed her eyes while talking.
Johnson sneered. "Hunger? As a woman, did you know you had to get up early to cook for your husband? See what time it is. It's almost 11:00! You're ridiculous!"
Emma was stunned after she was criticised.
Johnson usually wants Emma to sleep longer, and he'll ask Thomas to do all the homework. Why did his attitude suddenly change?
When Johnson asked again, Emma made lunch, which was very rare.
Once the dish was served on the table, Johnson took the initiative to "invite" Thomas to the dining table for the first time. The family of four was happily and calmly getting ready to eat.
Just when Felicia and Emma took their spoon and were about to eat, Johnson suddenly slammed the table.
"What are you two doing?"
Felicia and Emma stared at each other, both confused.
"Being eating. What else are we doing?"
"eat? Don't you know that men have power at home? As a family supporter, Tom hasn't taken his spoon, but you two acted pretty fast, huh? Do you know the rules here? Do you know the virtues of a woman?"
Emma and her mother became dumbfounded at Johnson's words. They held their spoons and dared not move at all.
Thomas awkwardly scratched his head. "Um, Dad, we don't have to follow the rules at home. We can eat as usual."
Emma didn't know if she should cry or laugh. He silently glanced at Thomas and whispered, "I think you're fully 'controlled' my father this time."
Johnson nodded. "You are truly considerate, reasonable, and wise. Did you two hear that? You can start eating now."
