On a clear day, the sweet scent of flowers bloomed in the air.
Thomas took public transport to Swan Restaurant on 166 Jewel Road.
Before he reached the entrance, Thomas saw the place was crowded with people. Every table was full and there were still many visitors waiting outside.
"Huh, it's not rush hour and there are so many people here?"
"The business here is amazing."
Thomas walks into the store and sees Nephele helping his father wait for customers. His two short legs moved very quickly, like a corgi. He ran around here and there.
Thomas was happy to see the sight.
Nephele is serving a dish. Then he turned around and saw Thomas.
"Uncle Thomas!!!"
"Hey sim"
Nephele came closer. Thomas leaned over to catch her and carried her. He reached out to pinch her reddish little cheeks.
When Griffin heard the commotion, he walked out of the kitchen to inspect it. Then he laughed.
The man quickly exclaimed to everyone there. "We apologize to everyone, but we ran out of ingredients today. The message will be served as usual. Apologies to those who have not ordered. Please come again next time."
The faces of those who had not ordered were filled with disappointment.
The food served at Swan Restaurant is the best on the street. In fact, their dishes are the most delicious in the entire Southland district. Many people came from far away after hearing his name. Too bad they can't taste the food.
After seeing the departure of the customers, Griffin quickly completed the final order. Then he cleaned the table and tidied it up for Thomas to sit down.
Soon after, he prepared some dishes and a few bottles of beer. He drinks with Thomas.
"Boss, why are you here?"
Thomas chewed on the beans and said with a smile. "You know what else, I miss your cooking so much."
"Ha ha's. You're too good, Boss. "
Thomas drank while tasting the dishes. He looked around the full restaurant, nodding as he said. "The business is going well."
Griffin smiled. "It's nothing. I'm happy as long as everyone likes it."
It's just....
Thomas advised. "You need to find some staff. You can't keep letting Nephele be your man. This is the exploitation of child labor."
Griffin replied, irritated. "Not that I don't want to recruit, I can't get a maid."
Nephele crawled up to the chair and said, "That's not true. Every day there are people coming, but they are never enough for Dad. One time Dad said they weren't clean enough, and then Dad said they weren't careful enough. Then I'll tell you that they don't treat food with respect. There are a hundred and one reasons."
Griffin coughed awkwardly and scratched his head apologizing.
Thomas laughed out loud after hearing that." Oh yeah, now your demand to hire a maid is also quite high."
Griffin had no choice. If he had not set such high requirements to the staff, Griffin's cooking skills would not have been as good as they were now.
As they chatted, a fashionable-looking girl in glasses walked in. There was a man walking beside her. Behind the two of them, there were several assistants holding umbrellas and helping them carry bags.
The people who were eating looked at the girl while quietly discussing amongst themselves.
"See. It's not that celebrity... What's name...."
"Flora Fiore?"
"Yes, that. It's Flora Fiore, she's really coming."
On the other hand, when Griffin saw someone enter, he said casually. "I'm sorry. We ran out of ingredients today. We're closed for today. Please come back next time, I'm sorry. "
Flora and the man by her side, who was also her manager - Jude Dunkley, paid no heed to Griffin's remarks. They just look for a clean table and sit down.
His tone was arrogant as he said, "How could a restaurant owner evict his own customers? I'm hungry and I hear this Swan Restaurant has the best food in this whole street. Make me some of your special dishes."
When Griffin heard it, he thought to himself, "Why doesn't this person listen to what others say?"
"How selfish is this woman?"
Seriate....
