TUMBLED

TUMBLED
Unleashed

Arlan was still standing in front of the tomb of Dipta. Nisan Dipta looks beautiful, next to the headstone of her sister, Eka. At first glance, Arlan saw Oki staring cynically at him. After hearing Oki's words, there was no point in meeting his uncle. He wants Arlan dead, just like his son.

Not many family members had a conversation during the meal. Everyone is busy with their thoughts. Without Oki and Rahayu saying anything, everyone present knew the cause of Dipta's death. Fahmi and Lili also did not bother to start a conversation with the others.

After placing a white rose over the tomb of Dipta, Arlan stood for a moment. He did not expect the parents of Dipta would welcome him. Arlan just wanted to stay in front of the Creator. He saw his future. Although Gina said something else, the future could have changed. Arlan may have ended up in the grave when he was seventeen.

"What are you doing?" furious Oki. "Are you happy to see my son in there?"

"I never said that, Oom," replied Arlan.

"Go you!" furious Oki. His face was red. Blood had filled up to the top of his head. "Don't show up in front of me again!"

"Mas Oki," Fahmi appears to mediate. At first, he just sat in the distance, avoiding the eyes of Oki or Rahayu. He also did not budge when Arlan said he wanted to give flowers to Dipta. "My son knows nothing."

"You and your son are the same!" hatch Oki.

"Yes..." Fahmi approached, his voice softening. He did not want to attract much attention, especially at the funeral of his nephew. "We talk for a minute."

"No need! Go ye!" snarled Oki while pointing towards the car park.

Fahmi was silent for a moment. His mouth opened, as if he wanted to say something. However, Lili behind him touched Fahmi's hand and asked him to just leave. There is no point in talking to someone who is riding.

"Arlan, let's go home!" bring Fahmi.

Arlan follows Fahmi on his way to the place where his father's car is parked. Some of the mourners have gone home. Some of them, uncles and aunts from the Arlan family who had lost their children, took the time to make a pilgrimage to eat their sons.

There are no teenagers there.

"All have died" Arlan murmured before finally getting into the car.

"You shouldn't have come along" Fahmi started the conversation. He stopped his car, looked at Oki for the last time, before stepping on the accelerator. His car drove off their family grave.

"I've been absent too much from family events" replied Arlan. "After all, I have to come if there's death."

"No need to bother. Your father can still take care of everything" Fahmi said. "You just need to stay safe in your place."

Arlan wanted to fight Fahmi's words, but at the moment he doesn't have the energy for it. He was busy thinking about the end of the life of the Creator. It is likely that he will experience the same. The barracuda is not an easy opponent.

"Lo's cousin?" Manda repeated Arlan's words. "If you're not wrong, he's the one who told me about your real family problems, right? A tall man?"

Arlan nodded. "But, Man. Something is strange. Ever since I got word that Dipta died, I think it's awkward. Because the first thing his life should take away, is me."

"Yes too. You should have met Larasati first," Manda confirmed.

"Is it possible because of that too, Oom Oki so angry with me?"

"How angry? Why be angry with you, not with Larasati?"

"The one who should have died next year, died this year instead. Perhaps, Oom Oki assumed that I was missed. I passed thanks to the genie from my nyokap. Or, I'm passing by because it's close to Grandpa Pareng. They might think so, right?"

Manda patted her forehead. "God... I didn't think about it until there," he admitted. "But, I think this is quite suspicious."

"This is the first time Larasati has jumped someone, right? Previously, he had always taken the lives of his targets in order. But, Dipta even died first of lo."

"Then?" Arlan watched Manda's lips as red as pomegranate. He admired how beautiful the women who had captured his heart at their first meeting were.

"Don't don't, it's not the Larasati who did it."

"What?"

"Yeah... It could be, right?"

"Impossible" answered Arlan. "Who else would have killed the teenagers of my family, if not Larasati?"

Manda was silent for a moment. Then, he launched an answer that Arlan had never expected. "Grandfather lo?"

"For what?" attack Arlan.

"Grandfather lo's main goal is to devour the power you have. But, he was not strong enough to pierce through the protective barrier of the house. And he's too weak during the day."

"Where might Grandpa Pareng kill Dipta," Arlan still refuted. Although he already knew that his grandfather was not a good person and indeed wanted to have his power, but Arlan did not want to believe that Dipta was killed by his own grandfather.

"It's just a possibility that's in my head" Manda added. "If your grandfather really killed Dipta, everything makes sense. Larasati didn't interfere with Dipta's killing."

Arlan looked down listlessly. To him, Manda's words sound reasonable. Larasati never once jumped the hunting order. The one who died first made Arlan think twice.

"Gue had heard about the story of eating human flesh in order to have more power. But I'm not so sure about that."

"Is it possible that Grandpa Preng did that, in order to have the power to penetrate the protection of my home?" Arlan spoke slowly, but Manda could still hear clearly. "During this time, Grandpa couldn't get in. But, it seems that now he is in a hurry, because my birthday is getting closer. He wants to kill me before Larasati does?"

"If Dipta was just a victim, it means there are others who also became the victim," continued Manda.

"really. It's not possible with just one person, Grandpa just got strong. Especially he was in a hurry. There must have been many victims."

Manda looked at Arlan for a few seconds. "You want to be sought out too?" ask Manda.

Arlan let out a long breath. Not yet finished the problem of the collision of both parents, now there are new problems again. "It looks like it's going to be hard and it takes a long time. I don't know where my grandfather is now."

"Lo remember Nanda's friends yesterday? Looks like they can help."

"They don't work for free, do they?" ask Arlan.

Manda. "No, not."

"What does Nanda offer?"

"Ask yourself Nanda. That's business. Until now, I also do not know what makes them loyal so Nanda. He never wanted to tell a story. But, I believe, the aura of his friends is cool. They're tied to each other's good things" Manda explained.

"Then, I'll discuss this matter with Nanda after school. I'll also offer you a deal if it's necessary. Lo temenin me, huh?"

"Marijuana!"
