Gina ran into the hospital. Breath snuffling. His face was as pale as the full moon in the sky that night. Behind him, a fat man followed, no less panicked. They approached Arlan and Nanda who were still wearing patient clothes and sitting limp in a chair near the hospital exit.
"How did it go?" sambar Gina, without making small talk, asked about the situation of Nanda or Arlan.
Nanda shook his head weakly. Arlan lowered his head, not daring to look at Gina's face. He himself was afraid in case he drowned himself into those worries as well. For Arlan who lost her lover in plain sight, it made her want to die. Especially imagining how sad Gina was now.
Gina held her spinning head. Her husband immediately caught Gina when she almost collapsed. "That kid... I warned you to always be vigilant!" his gerrick.
"Sorry, Mom! It's because I-I"
"It's not because of you," Gina interrupted Arlan's sentence. He raised his face to return Arlan's eyes. Gina sincerely wanted to make sure that Arlan did not feel guilty about this. "Mother has warned her many times, that she is the source of your weakness. Larasati would definitely go after him because he could be used as a prisoner. Have you ever seen a drama?"
Arlan and Nanda were silent. No one dared to answer. In reality, they did feel relaxed just now, until they lost Manda.
"What do we do now, Mom?" ask Nanda.
Gina rubbed her face in a huff. His mind drifted far away, terrified by what was about to happen to his son this time. "We need to find where Larasati is hiding."
"Dimas House!" sahut Arlan fast. He would have run had Gina not caught his hand. "Why, Mom? We can't waste any more time!"
Gina shook her head slowly. "This is what Larasati wants. He used Manda to lure us into a hurry to come and unprepared."
Arlan's confused. What more must he prepare, while Manda's life is in danger at the moment. Of course they had to hit the Dimas residence immediately.
"Nanda, call your friends! Ask for as much energy as possible to come here as soon as possible!" gina's orders, then she turned to the middle-aged man next to her. "Dad has to go home! There can't be any more sniffles tonight! You have to hide at home until we get home!"
"Is there nothing I can do?"
Gina shook her head while smiling discordantly. "Father should be able to take care of herself at this time," she replied half-whispering.
"Three guys skated over here, ma'am," Nanda said. The phone in his hand was shaking non-stop. "Two people will be waiting around there."
"They're carrying the bracelet I gave you?"
"Yes!"
"Mom will teleport near there. Ask them to get ready!" Gina took off her husband's hand. "Dad, go home now!"
Her husband nodded firmly. The look in her eyes said that Gina had nothing to worry about. Then he ran outside the hospital to go home.
Gina reached out a hand that Nanda immediately greeted. Arlan hurriedly followed. "You sure you're in top shape?" Gina ensure.
Nanda nodded. "I don't feel sick anymore. My energy is also full, as if unused."
"I wasn't hurt at all" Arlan continued.
Gina looked at Arlan for quite a while. His eyes seemed to examine what Arlan was thinking at that time. "Arlan.." call her in a gentle tone as usual. "Calm down. I told you, it's not your fault. We will fight with Larasati, the creature who wants to take your life. This is not an easy thing. You should try to stay conscious and level-headed. I'm not sure I can bring you back, if the other one shows up again."
In the next instant, a whirlwind instantly enveloped them. It happened very quickly, just two or three seconds. When he woke up, Arlan was already on a small road. The smell of the drug is directly replaced with the smell of wet asphalt. Arlan circulated the view. He knows the streets. The dimly lit little street lights made him realize that they were not far from Dimas' house.
"Mom knows Dimas' house?" ask Arlan, don't believe it.
"Are you thinking, I didn't investigate anything all this time and sat quietly behind a desk?" gina replied with a smile. "We didn't arrive in front of Dimas' house. There must be a trap there. Some more people will show up. We wait for our members to be complete first."
Nanda nodded, while Arlan remained silent. He was still amazed by these kinds of things for not being used to it. As Gina said, some people started to appear. Three people emerged from the dark alley on the left. Four people emerged from the small street behind them. Then, the last two people ran small from the playground about three meters from their gathering point.
Gina looked one after another at the faces of the people who came. They were no older than Gina, yet no younger than Nanda. No one came empty handed. Some carried whips, sticks, arrows, and other weapons. One thing in common with them was a black bracelet with dark green glittering stone eyes. Their faces were tense, but filled with confidence.
"All right, this is enough!" Gina looks happy. "You must have heard the story about Arlan and know what kind of creature we're going to be dealing with this time," Gina began her speech in a soft voice, while all of them gathered into a small circle. "I hope you keep a cool head. Avoid fishing!"
Everyone nodded simultaneously. The light of their eyes shone in the darkness of the night. Arlan could feel the flames of burning spirit on each person. "Lan," Nanda nudged his shoulder, making Arlan aware of the admiration. "Lo can't be away from me!"
Arlan nodded in understanding. "If anyone threatens me, I will protect myself" replied Arlan. He did not want to fight, if it was the same as exchanging himself with the self that was 'sleeping'.
Finally, they move. They were divided into three four groups of three people each. The two groups would twist and try to enter from the back door. While two other groups, including Arlan in it, tried their luck through the front door. Many times Gina whispered that the front door would be as dangerous as the back door. Arlan became even more vigilant in unleashing his power.
Upon arrival in front of Dimas' house, they were greeted with a rusty brown iron gate that was padlocked. The courtyard inside looked unkempt. The grass grows to knee-high. There was one tall and densely leafy mango tree overshadowing the one-story house. The deciduous leaves looked weathered filled the porch of the house.
"Is this house inhabited?" whispered Nanda.
Arlan turned his attention to Dimas' house. There are no signs of life. The house is dark. Even the sound of animals is not heard. Arlan himself became suspicious of the existence of Dimas or Larasati there.
"Don't be fooled!" sahut Gina suddenly. "This place is too quiet if it is said to be uninhabited."
Arlan swallowed with great difficulty. He remembered the dream that had been present in his sleep. High, night, and no sound. "This is the place" murmured Arlan. The feather stands. The cold wind crept on his nape. Arlan raised his face just as dozens of sharp pebbles were pointed towards them.
PHANGGG!!!
Without a second thought, Arlan spread out his arms, making a protective shield that enveloped the five people beside him. The pebbles that flew towards them, floated in the air. Half of the pebble pierced through Arlan's protector, barely holding it. If Arlan had not realized that, their bodies could have been torn apart.
"Lan!" nanda exclaimed as he mounted the horses, a sign that their opponent had revealed himself.
Arlan squinted his eyes. He needs to concentrate to look towards the terrace of the house. It was completely pitch-black, leaving his eyes unable to see anything.
"Hehehehe..."
The sound of laughter made Arlan know that it was not only them who were there. Arlan kept his protector. A second later, the heavy sound of footsteps sounded. For a long time, Arlan could see his best friend emerge from the porch of the house. Arlan recognized Dimas' face despite the dark circles hanging under his eyes. Dimas' smile became strange with the corners of his lips widened like a tear. His shoulders hung, as if carrying two heavy hands.
"Arlan, what are the nights here?" ask Dimas.
