Rani is still made to think hard with a bracelet that perches pretty in the closet. He was again made curious when he saw a jar containing origami-shaped crane on the top shelf.
When his hand touched the doorknob of the closet, wanting to see the jar, the door opened suddenly without hearing a knock first.
"Sister King?"
"What meda?" The king approached with his right hand placed in his trouser pocket. The man's suit and tie had been removed and left a light blue shirt whose arms were rolled up to the elbow.
"See the King's collection." Rani raised a hand that only the King saw with raised eyebrows. "Congratulations." obviously. Only then did the King give him a hand to kiss. Perhaps this is the second time he has kissed the hand that is now responsible for his life.
"Can Rani open?" permission for the husband. "Rani wants to see it." point it at the origami jar she would have previously taken without her husband's permission.
"Why?" ask Rani again when the King just shut up.
"For what?" The king asked him back.
"You look. I think Rani knows."
King nodded. "If you know, why are you still curious?"
"So really?" rani's smile expands with excitement. "That's a folding crane made by Rani, when the King got sick first?"
Rani's smile grew wider as the King nodded in agreement.
For the first time the King was involved in a brawl while still sitting on the first intermediate bench. The man's minimal martial skills led the King to be hospitalized for one week with bruises everywhere.
When the mother of the parlour visited the King, there Rani came with a jar containing origami storks that she made all night.
"Why?" ask Rani enthusiastically. "Why is still the King's brother saved? though it used to be fitting Rani jenguk, brother Raja did not even want to look at Rani. It was also.." point it towards the frame containing his homemade bracelet. "Didn't the King's brother say the King wouldn't wear it because the King's sister wasn't a woman? the King even threw it away!" his lips.
"You're too chatty!" not answering, the King pinched Rani's right cheek. "You better get out, help mama set up the dinner table. I'll take a shower."
Rani's eyes are rounded. "Mama's preparing dinner by herself?"
"The aunt cooked. Mama just helped set up the table."
"Why not say that!" Rani immediately darted and left the King shaking his head.
***
The king opened the closet containing his collection. Take an origami jar where there is a small handwriting Rani on a paper taped to the body of the jar: King's brother quickly healed, huh? Who will tell Rani the story?
The King placed it on the back so that no one could see. He never even imagined that this day would come. The day that Rani would enter her room and see what she had kept neat.
The king shifts on the blue bracelet in the frame. This also made Rani curious.
The King used to avoid Rani as much as possible. But the little girl stuck to her every time she and mom came to the parlour.
The king used to really dislike the bracelet that Rani gave him. But seeing how Rani cried when she threw it away, caused a strange feeling in her heart. He could only stand looking at Rani who was frustratingly looking for bracelets in the bushes. Rani's clothes were even dirty because the rain had just subsided. Some wet twigs caught in Rani's long hair.
Seeing how the girl tried so hard to find what the King threw away, made her feel guilty. And when Rani leaves calling him evil, the King starts looking for the bracelet. His body is no less dirty than Rani. Even his hand was scratched by iron that he was unaware of his existence. She panicked when she took him home.
Same with butterfly hairpins. The thing that Rani accidentally dropped and the King took.
The wound plaster also has memories of his childhood and Rani. When the King's palm was injured when he fell in the parlor, Rani put the pelater there. When at home mama replace with a new one, the King keeps a plaster wound from Rani. Meleminating and framing it.
Although his ego always says he does not like Rani and considers the girl as a bully with all her intelligence. But his heart could not lie. His heart trembled twice as much as he saw the girl smile. He wants Rani to be there beside him and not far from his eyes.
It all started when the King saw Rani fall and was so excited when he heard her voice for the first time. Didn't expect any stranger to be so happy just to hear him make a sound. The king had promised to protect the girl and would not let her grieve.
The king always wanted to hold Rani's hand. But the King is still the King. His grip was higher than his feelings.
The bigger the king grows. The more he remembered his parents. The more he is afraid to bring Rani into his life.
His decision not to marry, made him try hard to stay away from Rani. He felt he could not offer a future for the girl he wanted to take care of.
The different ways the King tried. Including playing with women. Hope Rani hates and no longer approaches her. But not only Rani doesn't mind being around jerks. The girl even became a secretary and even his wife.
Destiny is unpredictable. It never went according to what the king planned. Including the death of his parents.
"Lho. The king hasn't taken a shower!" rani's head poked on the side of the open door. Draw the King from their past memories. "Evening is ready. My mom is waiting too." The king could feel discomfort when Rani called her parents the name she used.
"Come." take her after the King closes the closet door. Embrace the girl who looked up with a look of wonder.
"Sir King doesn't take a shower?"
"Later. You bathe." the cada. But the girl instantly removed her hands from her shoulders and looked at her sharply.
"Don't pervert!" after saying that, Rani left him to go down first.
At least the King was grateful for this fate that he did not expect. Because fate brings Rani to be his wife. The girl he never dared to involve in his black life.
There are still some things that he must finish before making Rani his full wife. Doodling one by one the list he made to build a happy household with Rani.
If since childhood the King never got what he wanted about a family. May this time God allow him to realize Rani's desire in having a dream family. If his sins are too much to be happy. At least God still allowed him to please the innocent Rani.
Now there is a light in the life of the King. Because now there is a goal that he must achieve as an encouragement. The goal to make happy the girl who had reigned for dozens of years in her heart.
