A day that turns cloudy makes Rani want to eat something warm. His hands move down the screen of the phone to buy cooking ingredients via online. Because he has no job and is bored of staying home, it seems cooking is the right choice. Although the King had warned her not to set foot in the kitchen when her husband was about to leave for work.
"Bak Eni can make tomyam?" rani asked her domestic assistant who was stocking bathroom needs on a storage rack in the kitchen.
"Can, mom. You want to have lunch with tomyam?"
Rani nodded enthusiastically. "I bought the material again. Will you help me cook, will you? we'll eat together with the others."
"Let me cook, ma'am. Later you can be angry if you know you cook. I'm not really healthy yet."
Rani clucked. "I'm well." denied Rani. Although his body is still a little weak and sometimes still feels dizzy. He was too bored if he just sat watching Mbak Eni cook. "Part of the King's brother will not be home, as long as you do not complain to the King's brother, the King will not be angry."
"But ma'am"
"Udah. I'll help you later."
Shortly from the debate that made Mbak Eni relented, the security guard delivered the groceries he ordered online.
Eni also called in another assistant to help. Because unmitigated, Rani cooks in large quantities.
"Later we eat together. All anterin for the security guard sir so as not to sleepy the gujan-gini." Rani explained when mbak Eni and others bengong see the amount of materials he bought. Along with the heavy rain that just came down. "Bikin who cares yes mbak. But it is also made that does not matter. Afraid that no one will."
"Good, mom."
"Eh, we got a big pot, don't we, mbak?" Rani who was making spices turned to Mbak Eni when she remembered something.
"She, mom. The pot I used to cook for us to eat."
Rani breathed a sigh of relief. He forgot to take into account the cooking utensils when he decided to cook big. Thankfully there are.
It didn't take long for one big pot of tomyan with the complete topping to ripen. Rani took off the apron she was wearing and put the rest on the others.
"Please put it on the dinner table, ma'am. I take a shower first." He felt sticky after cooking. What else is the hair in his hijab bathed in sweat.
When her house assistants secured her order, Rani passed into the room. His initial intention was just to take a shower, but seeing the bathtub made him change his mind and decide to soak for a moment. Relaxing his muscles that feel stiff only he took lying down when sick yesterday.
When he finished the bath and he came back down, the dining table had only one empty bowl for him to eat and one large bowl of tomyam and several other companion dishes.
"Where else, ma'am? how is it just one bowl?" he asked Eni, who was standing at the dinner table and stuffed the tomyam into his bowl.
"We ate in the back. For the security guard has also been delivered."
"Lho, why? I cook a lot so we can eat a lot. My time eating alone." lamented Rani.
"We're just servants, ma'am. It's not appropriate to eat here with the employer."
"That's okay dong. I was the one who asked. It's not because you're rude." said Rani stubbornly. "Call them and ask them to eat here, madam. Or I will not eat, let you be scolded by the King." he threatened.
Mbak Eni looks to sigh and agree. Calling the others who then join by bringing their respective bowls that have been filled but they have not touched because Rani who has not eaten.
"Well, gini kan rame." exclaimed Rani with sparkling eyes and ate their artificial tomyam together voraciously.
Rani sits on the usual end seat the King sits on. His house assistants sat on his left and right sides.
"What is this event?" the familiar voice immediately made Rani turn to the connecting door of the living room and dining room. There the husband stood by carrying a paperbag from his favorite bakery.
"Sister King's coming home?" the twinkle in his eyes was getting brighter. He did miss the King even though the man had only been a few hours away from home. It was unexpected that the King would come home for lunch. Though usually the King will preach it if the man eats at home. "We're cooking tomyam, brother. We eat together, right?"
Rani stood up and took her husband's hand for him to kiss. The people at the table had already bowed their heads and placed their spoons each as the King's voice sounded. They must be afraid because the King is always cold.
"You cook?" The king looked at him sharply. Making Rani flutter, forgetting that the King forbids her from doing anything.
"I mean Rani, earlier Rani asked mbak to cook tomyam. The cooking is a lot because Rani wants to eat a lot."
The King's gaze did not immediately believe. The king was suspicious of him.
"Udah, ayoo sit down. Try it, good." Rani hugged her husband's waist and encouraged him to sit in the chair he had been sitting in.
"Then we say behind you, ma'am." mbak Eni represents the others when it is uncomfortable to join the King.
Rani actually wanted to ban them from leaving. He wants to eat a lot. But Rani fears the King and his assistants are uncomfortable with each other. So he allowed them to eat in the back.
"Yes already mbak. Thank you for masakin and accompanying Rani to eat."
Rani fills the tomyam into a new bowl that Eni got her.
"Cobain brother. It's delicious."
Not obeying what he asked. The king just sat quietly and looked at him suspiciously.
"Sister."
"You're sure you're not the one cooking?"
"Oh my goodness, brother. Ma'am Eni and the others are cooking. The king is forbidden."
"Your face is still pale like that. You're not well. And I don't like you ignoring your own health like this."
Rani sighed. It is hard to lie to the king. What else to argue. He won't win.
"Rani just helped for a second, brother. It's also light. Rani is still feeling well. There's nothing to worry about."
"How am I not worried that you're pale like this?" The king rubbed Rani's lips with his thumb.
"Rani was just soaking up last night, brother. That's why it looks pale." Shall Rani. "Eat first, brother. It'll be cold. Rani really wanted to be out of this."
The king sighed and relented. What else when he saw his wife eating voraciously.
