This morning I sat on the sand of the beach. Alongside my wife. Looking at the vast ocean that was like no side. Decorated by the pounding waves that hit the beach until we close our feet. With a breeze, a gentle wave, bathed in sunlight, and peaceful atmosphere of the morning. Makes perfect the moment we enjoy the calmness of nature, both.
"Honey," call Hadni.
I'm silent.
"Darling!"
I'm still quiet.
Hadni grabbed my hand and held it tightly.
"Myyaaang!" He half screamed.
"Eh, you called me?" manywould be surprised.
"Yes, of course" he answered. "Who else am I calling dear?"
"No, usually before this you call me Ren only," I said.
"Well, I do, but I want to call you with a loving call this time, can't I?"
"Bus ... Not no," I replied. "But how, yes. I haven't used a call like that in a long time. Ever since I stopped being in a relationship, I hate calls like that. And, now it feels like such a call sounds exaggerated, and laughable. You better not, you just call me Ren, yeah!"
"Well, baby," Hadni scowled.
I'm silent. Hadni looked at me while sighing.
"Alright, Ren, All right," he said later. "But try to call me baby!"
"Huh? Calling you with a call, baby?" I'm dumbfounded.
"Yes, please!"
"Can't, Hadni!" I'm dodging.
"Oh, comeon!"
"Can't, those words are on my tongue!" my answer.
"Oh, Ren, come on, say, baby! Sa ... who! S-a-y-a-n-g!" Hadni recited the word as if to teach me.
"Bec ... Sa ... Sa ... Sa... aahh, I can't!" I took great pains to say it but still couldn't.
"You're so funny, baby!" hadni.
"Ahh, no!" I hold my head like a panicked person—joking. "Don't call me by that call!"
"Hahaha," Hadni chuckled with her adorable laugh. Then he approached and grabbed me. Drowning himself in my arms.
"I love you, Ren!" whispered.
"Well, noooo!" I'm rising. Let go of hugs and stand up while pretending to panic as if allergic to the word affection.
"Ren, you're such a bitch!" Hadni turned her face while grumbling. Her face looks cute with that expression.
"Eh, don't sulk, Hadni, I'm just kidding." I sat back by his side.
"No, you're bad!" his nag.
"No, Hadni. I love you, really!"
"Well, you can say baby!" said Hadni immediately looked at me cheerfully. I scratched my own head unconsciously.
"Em, anu, that just happened by accident!" chirping.
Hadni laughed. I am too. For a moment the atmosphere was filled with our laughter.
"Ren," he said later. "I want us on vacation, honeymoon. Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere, with you!"
"But where?"
"Wherever you take. To Maldives? Europe? America's? The japs? New Zealand? Tahiti? Wherever I go, I'll come along. Just pick it up, Hadni! This morning we can go too."
"But I'm confused."
"I am too."
"So how?"
"We just wait until we're not confused anymore."
"Until when?"
"Not knowing."
"Geez!" Hadni patted her forehead.
I chuckle.
"Oh yes, I also want to ask you something" said Hadni. He got up from the backrest and immediately reached into the pocket of clothes. Take out a piece of white paper that has faded and folded.
"What paper is this?" tanyakanya.
"Where did you get it?" I asked back while receiving the paper from his hand.
"So morning" he answered. "I'm tidying up your clothes. I found this paper in your suit pocket!"
"Pocket suit?" I stared confused. "What paper is this?"
I slowly opened the paper. I researched it carefully. The paper contained not so neat handwriting. The writing reads :
.....................................................
For Good Om
Thank you very much, Om. Thanks to Good Om, I can write this.
Steven.
.....................................................
Instantly I looked up at the name on the bottom row of the paper. That moment I immediately remembered something. Hadni looked at me in wonder as if asking what was going on.
"Hadni, now I know where we're going on vacation" I said.
"Where?"
"East Nusa Tenggara!"
