At work, Herman invited all members to discuss after lunch at one of the residents' homes. With bale chairs made of bamboo wide enough to occupy several people, Herman and his friends began to make circles in the place.
"Why, Her?" anto asked after everything had gathered.
"Look, yesterday Mr. Boss offered me a toll road project in Kalimantan obtained from his best friend. I haven't accepted it yet because I have to ask my wife for permission and also need to talk to you. If I had accepted the offer, would you guys have come?" clearly Herman was staring at one by one his friends.
Anto and his comrades stared at each other after hearing the tantalizing offer from his chairman. They did not expect if there was a big job offer outside the island and a friend of their Boss Pak offered it to them.
"That's why we can't make a decision first, Her. We have to give permission first to our families" replied Badri, who agreed with the others.
"Yes I know, so I tell you this so you can ask your wife for permission first. I'm not sure if my wife will let me go" Herman said.
"You should have told me this after getting permission from your wife, Her. What if we've approved of our wives while you yourself haven't received permission?" jolt another friend.
'That is exactly what I wanted Yani to allow me to go there, ' Herman replied.
Herman has made plans to take on the project. By relying on his colleagues who have been approved by their families, automatically Herman will ask Yani to allow him to go to Kalimantan with his group on the grounds of feeling bad for his teammates. While the other group was willing and approved by their wives, Herman himself had not received permission from his wife so that Yani was forced to agree to his wishes. Herman knew Yani had the trait of feeling bad for someone. By relying on this, Herman could plead with his wife to give her permission to Kalimantan.
"Calm down, I talked to my wife about this. He said if you agree to come with me to Kalimantan, then he will let me go" replied Herman until his comrades nodded in understanding.
"Yes, I just want to tell you that. Rest, after that we continue our work," said Herman then get out of the bale chair.
"Wait, Her!"
Herman stopped his steps and turned to look at someone who had just called him.
"Until when is the deadline given to think?" ask Anto.
"Until next month after Lebaran," replied Herman and then continued his steps to the bathroom.

Yani was pensively alone on her porch, thinking about what her husband said last night. Honestly, his feeling said he did not want Herman to take the offer in Kalimantan. She was afraid that her husband would still be in contact with Nana because there was that woman. If the project offered was not in Kalimantan, Yani would have allowed her husband to leave. However, if the project is in Kalimantan, Yani hesitates to allow it.
"Aante!"
Yani flinched and looked up at the stairs to see her nephew coming from the stairs with his son and a bag of crackles in his other hand.
"Eh, Irna. Here sit!" yani said to let her niece Irna sit next to him.
Irna sat down beside Yani and placed the bag of crackles she was holding onto the small table in front of her.
"Hey, just seen, hmm." Yani invites talk Irna child who is still a toddler. The 6-month-old smiled at Yani and showed off her mouth, which is now growing milk teeth. Yani lifts Irna's son Azka into her lap and plays with her for a moment.
"What are you bringing, Na?" tanya Yani looks at the crackle bag on the table.
"It's brown sugar, Tan. Yesterday aunty tipped sugar 'kan same Bang Dika fitting he wants to go to the market," replied Irna.
"Oh, what's the total?" ask Yani.
"Wait a moment." Yani got up while bringing Azka into his house to take the money in the room.
"Now, Na." Yani hands over the money after he returns to the terrace.
"Thank you, Tan," Irna replied while taking the money.
"Well, what area do you live in Kalimantan?" ask Yani who forgot where her brother lives in Kalimantan.
"In Kapuas Hulu, Tan. West Kalimantan."
Yani nodded. "So Dana, you know what area she works in?"
Irna paused for a moment, thinking. "Dana's husband Kak Nana's fund?" yani asked who answered a nod by Yani.
"I don't know, Tan. He said he was in East Kalimantan. But I don't know which city he lives in" Irna said. "Why indeed?"
Yani sighed. "Om you got a project there. Last night he just told her."
"Om Herman got a job offer in Kalimantan?" irna asked answered a nod by Yani.
"Keep Auntie allow it?" connect Irna.
"Tante hasn't answered because he's told to think first."
"Aunty wants to let Om Herman go?" ask Irna.
Yani sighed and looked at Irna. "Honestly, aunty doesn't want to om you go there. What's more aunty is afraid of is what if Om you meet with Nana there later. Their wounds have not dried up until now, Na. Moreover, their relationship has been running for 2 years. Until now, aunts can't escape their affair."
Irna was silent looking into the eyes of her mother's sister who showed her side of the wound. Irna knew about Herman and Nana's relationship because during the trial, she was also there watching everything. Although Irna had never experienced what her aunt felt. However, as a fellow woman she also felt the wounds inflicted by Nana and Herman, their own immediate family.
"However, on the one hand aunt also thinks of Aunt's savings that are starting to thin now. Aunty wants to buy a motorbike for Nadia to go to school. Not to mention the aunt also wants to build a room and family room under the house," continued Yani while frowning that feels a little dizzy.
"Patience, Aunt. Bang Dika also again collected money to replace the cost of Irna's wedding at that time," said Irna felt a little stifled when her aunt alluded to the savings Yani and Herman used to make her wedding last year.
Her husband, Dika only works odd jobs. Dika will accept whatever work he does. From building porters to helping neighboring plantations. However, even though Dika does not have a permanent job. Dika has several plots of rice fields and cows as its main land. Dika has 3 cows, one female and two males. And the plan is that the bulls who have just grown up will be sold and will reimburse the cost of Irna's wedding party later.
"It's okay, auntie won't urge you to pay." Yani knows what his nephew is thinking. An unpleasant feeling reached him discussing about his savings.
"Will auntie allow Om Herman to go to Kalimantan?" ask Irna.
"Okay, aunt doesn't know. Later aunty wants to ask the same Om-mu," replied Yani.
