It is not felt that Herman and Nana's forbidden relationship has been running for five months without people knowing. Hendra and Nana are so cleverly looking for a time of opportunity for them to be alone without making their neighbors and family suspicious. Moreover, the intensity they met most often at Nana's house.
In the village, most people will not go out at night and choose to stay at home watching television. People here will sleep at least 11 pm and the streets will look quiet. Even people who build self-employed businesses will close at 11 or 12 p.m.
If Nana and Herman had the chance, they would have done the deed 'it' after waiting for Nana's children to fall asleep. Yani never suspected where her husband used to sleep. Yang Yani knew that if Herman did not sleep at home, he would ask for permission to spend the night at his brother's house, his friends, or his parents' house next door.
For a dozen years she was married to Herman, she already knew how her husband was. Herman never neko-neko as long as Yani knows him let alone to cheating. Yani has a lot of trust in her husband. In Yani's mind, there are rarely actors here. Want to take people's husbands but the husband's job here is only mediocre capital unlike in the city. Most of the men's jobs here are farming or opening self-employed businesses. The actor here also has to think again to seize the husband of people if he wants a better life like in the city.
Back to Nana and Herman, a marriage that he said was intended to provide an inner living to Nana, now both have begun to get more intense closeness. If there is no chance at night, Herman will come to Nana's house at noon or afternoon just to stop by and chat with the woman he already considers his second wife, even at home there are still Nana's children.
Before marrying Nana, Herman had doubts at that time. All she thought about was would Nana accept it? Will they not be found out about their relationship? And did Yani demand a divorce from her after everything was revealed?
As a person who does not understand the science of religion, Herman did not know that the law of marrying a married wife who is still married is unlawful law. Their second marriage was still invalid because both of them did not know about the Polyandry law. Even Herman and Nana agreed not to tell Nana's status to the chief and witnesses. By providing them with false proof of Nana's status, their marriage was finally approved by Pak Penghulu without knowing Nana's true identity. Except Herman's already honest status would be about his married status.
The reason Herman committed the act of falsifying Nana's status was because he believed that Pak Penghulu would definitely not agree to marry Nana because she was still a husband. It will definitely get reaped pros and cons if Pak Penghulu and witnesses know about it. Therefore Herman had prepared everything so that his second marriage with Nana went smoothly to fake the true status of Nana.
I don't know what possessed Herman until the man made such a determination. Though he is not in love with Nana, but can do such an act in order to marry Nana. But in Herman's mind, this was like a challenge for him because he was going to marry a woman who was still the status of a man's husband. In this village, there was no one who committed such extreme acts. Only polygamy is here and allowed.

Herman came to Nana's house after the Maghrib. The man went straight into the house of the woman who had been considered his second wife and then walked into the family room casually like Nana's house was already used to he entered.
"Whoa! What's this show?" reprimand Herman saw Nana and her children eating meatballs on the floor.
"There's no show. The children said they wanted to eat meatballs tonight" Nana replied.
"Here's a meal together, Om." Dinda politely asked her cousin's father.
Herman sat down next to Nana and watched Nana's children eating, then turned to Nana.
"Aren't you eating too?"
Nana shakes. "No, my stomach feels wrapped around this afternoon."
Herman grinned but his face showed worry. "Not been to lunch?" ask Herman. He knows Nana likes not to taste when eating. Sometimes Nana misses her lunch or dinner.
"Eat, but a little bit" jawan Nana then leaned his body on the wall.
Then the children of Nana except Dinda had finished their meal, and brought their dirty dishes to the kitchen.
"Why eat a little?" ask Herman.
"My stomach won't take a few more rice feeds after eating. Besides I didn't have any appetite this afternoon because my stomach feels bad from the morning."
"Not breakfast this morning?"
Herman exhaled. "That's your stomach lacking food intake, Nan. Try to set your diet and try never to pass the meal so that your stomach is not wrapped like this," said Herman attention. Unknowingly, Dinda glanced at them after hearing his omnya speech that was so considerate of his mother.
"Yes, but still my appetite decreases if I want to eat. Like tonight," complained Nana.
"Forced, Nin. What matters is that your stomach is full of enough nutrients."
Cedar and Nizam––both boys Nana out of the kitchen. "Well, I went to my grandmother's house first, yes" said Aras, Nana's second child.
"Me too, Mah" said Nizam.
Nana's parents' house is just next to Nana's. Children sometimes like to play there because at his grandmother's house there are both cousins Aras and Nizam.
Nana just nodded allowing Aras and Nizam out to play at her grandmother's house. Dinda who just finished her food, went to the kitchen put dirty dishes in the sink and then drank. Then, he walked towards his room to do his schoolwork.
"Say you wanna get up on the second floor upstairs?" ask Herman.
"Yes, but that was the plan. The money from Bang Dana is not enough to buy material necessities."
"Why do you want to get up on the second floor?"
"Make the children's room upstairs."
"Oh." Herman nodded then glanced at Dinda's closed room but still left a bit of a blemish.
Nana leaned her head on Herman's shoulder because of the situation they were alone together while watching television. Herman stroked Nana's hand gently.
"Still wrapped around his stomach?" whisper Herman. Nana just nodded.
"Well in love with eucalyptus oil?" Nana shakes.
"You want to rub his stomach?" ask Herman for attention.
"Don't be weird! There are kids here!" nana protests while pinching Herman's stomach.
"Dinda's in the room again. He didn't see it."
"It just can't be. Then if Dinda suddenly came out how?"
"Our reason is that your stomach hurts again."
"Yes, but what makes him think is why you have to smear eucalyptus oil on my stomach!"
Herman only laughed lightly as his eyes watched the television show. Unbeknownst to them, there was a teenager who noticed the intensity of the two behind the bedroom door.
