Apocalypse Monster

Apocalypse Monster
Chapter 011: Meeting Brother

Natan Alexander became the center of attention because the iron spear he carried on his back created his own fear, even though the spear was wrapped in a bandage in layers so as not to hurt people around.

People around the street picked up small, consumable fruits, and picked up firewood because of a gas stove that was not working very well, and electricity that was off. Indeed there is still electricity that uses solar panels, only it is used as night lighting.

"Why don't the people here help kill monsters? Wouldn't they be stronger and able to survive?"

Major Arief glanced at Natan Alexander who was on the left behind him, then refocused on the road ahead. "Mental problems, perhaps because they see friends or family being eaten alive in plain sight, are mentally disturbed and will always be afraid when they see monsters."

Natan Alexander fell silent with a small nod. He will also be affected by mental problems if he really saw the scene of his family being eaten by monsters, but if he remembers his childhood, he was already affected by mental disorders when he saw his parents died before his eyes.

Natan Alexander shook his head slowly, he opened the interface screen, and it was seen that Kuro still needed about 18 more hours to complete his evolution stage.

"Are we going to the meeting hall? Do refugees live there?"

Major Arief gave a small nod, then replied, "Yes, it might be narrow because of the large number of people, but you have to get used to it."

Natan Alexander just and nodded his head. It was only one day after the event that could be considered as the apocalypse, but the number of refugees was already quite a lot and the buildings in the city were already a lot destroyed. He had no idea what would happen if a week had passed.

Fifteen minutes walk, he finally arrived at a fairly spacious building with an empty field in front of him. He saw many emergency kitchens in use, and saw several groups of five to ten people under the tree.

Natan Alexander also felt a cold feeling from those groups, which meant that there was something to be said to be a killer or to have evil intentions.

"Have there ever been a riot? Although it's only been thirty-eight hours since the world's gone awry."

"A few times, usually the students who are here make a riot, saying that they are the ones who should receive food first and more" Major Arief replied.

"What about violence?" Natan Alexander did not care about food, all he wanted to know was the coldness of the student who had a monster-like aura.

Major Arief just kept silent without answering and continued walking carrying Natan Alexander to get into the building is quite large. He opened the twin doors made of iron, revealing the interior of which many people slept on the tarpaulin-covered floor.

Natan Alexander stopped his footsteps, then turned to look at the group of students and sororities who were looking at him sharply. "Are they interested in the gear I'm wearing?" muttered.

Natan Alexander turned back and entered the building, making himself the center of attention because of the spear he was carrying. Many people also appear to be affected by mental disorders because of events that have never been thought of, and even if thought of, this does not make sense.

"Sister Natan?"

Natan Alexander turned to the right towards the source of the voice, looking at the young girl who was about 14 years old sitting in the corner of the room, hugging her knees.

The girl had long black hair with white rabbit hairpins, wore white clothes, a pink skirt with black jeans, and carried a blue sling bag.

Tanaka Ayumi is a girl who is very well known to Natan Alexander, can even be said to be his own sister. That's because when he was a child, he had lived in a flats because his parents' possessions were contested by other families. He also did not want to live in an orphanage.

Tanaka Ayumi is the son of an aunt next door, who lost her husband when Tanaka Ayumi was just two years old. He is assigned to look after his neighbor's little daughter, in exchange for dinner and a little pocket money.

Tanaka Ayumi's father is a Japanese man, so his name follows his father.

Natan Alexander opened his trembling mouth, with an expression of pity and heartlessness as he looked at the current state of Tanaka Ayumi.

Natan Alexander stepped over to the limp-looking Tanaka Ayumi who could not move, and sprained her right ankle. He crouched down, staring at Tanaka Ayumi. "How come you're here? Shouldn't you be out of town? Then where's Auntie?"

Tanaka Ayumi bowed lethargicly, and began to shed her tears, no longer able to act mature. "Mother ... passed away one year ago ..."

Natan Alexander gasped when he heard that, and that meant Tanaka Ayumi set out on her own from another island. "Can you explain how the bruise got?"

Tanaka Ayumi quivered and hugged herself, she looked very frightened, not wanting to tell Natan Alexander.

Natan Alexander could not help but look at his sister like this. He looked to the back left, looking at Major Arief. "How did this happen? Where did he get that wound?"

"There's no way this is a monster, especially with its level. Surely it would take his life directly."

Major Arief was silent for a moment, then exhaled a long breath and replied, "It was because of the division of the meal yesterday afternoon. He accidentally bumped into a group of students, and made the student's meal fall. Then, I guess there's no need to explain it ..."

Natan Alexander clenched his hands tightly. "Then what about the army? Is it just silence?!" He could not hold himself back and shouted out loud.

Major Arief simply kept silent and lowered his head, not answering Natan Alexander's question at all, then chose to turn around leaving the two.

Natan Alexander cursed in annoyance, then looked back at Tanaka Ayumi. "We're leaving now, I'm taking you to a safe place, safer than this refugee camp." He extended his right hand.

Tanaka Ayumi looked at Natan Alexander's hand for a while, then looked up slowly. A dozen seconds he was silent like that without moving even blinking. Until the next second, he nodded his head.

Natan Alexander raised Tanaka Ayumi with both hands, then allowed Tanaka Ayumi to sit on his lower left arm, as well as the right hand that held his sister's shoulder so as not to fall.

He stood up and turned around while opening the interface screen. He looked at Major Arief in front of him, adding to Friend's list. "Accept it or not, it's your business, I'll leave this place, and maybe this is our last meeting" he said, upset and then walked past Major Arief.

"If you don't accept it, then we meet again, by then we'll be enemies!"

Natan Alexander brought Tanaka Ayumi not because of the fact that she was his younger sister, but also from the abilities he examined if Tanaka Ayumi had the ability to Repair and Bandage Wounds. If directed correctly, it might be possible to open Job Blacksmith and Healer.

"God, I'll cure you after we get out of here, and I'll give you the food you like. I will also help you to level up" Natan Alexander said, staring at Tanaka Ayumi.

Tanaka Ayumi smiled gently. "Thank you, Brother."

Major Arief who saw the departure of Natan Alexander just silently could not do anything. He wanted to punish the student who injured Tanaka Ayumi, but was unable to do so because the student was the nephew of his superior, the Colonel.

Major Arief gnashed his teeth with his clenched right hand. Shortly afterwards, he loosened his fist, and raised his hand, pressing the interface screen to receive the friendship from Natan Alexander.

Natan Alexander who had already exited the building stopped his steps, shifted the interface screen that suddenly appeared, then continued his footsteps.

He chose the right choice!
