Apocalypse Monster

Apocalypse Monster
Chapter 136: Crossing the English Channel

Thursday, 13 November 2035

Natan had already brought the Giant Castle after returning to Longquan Mountain to meet the lover he already considered his wife, and of course take the time to pamper them in bed until the morning as usual.

Of course, Natan did it more and longer with Olivia, because only Olivia was able to compensate for the stamina she had.

Despite carrying the Giant Castle, Natan did not install it directly in the Giant Knight as they were still too far from the English Channel. Moreover, they would be easy targets despite having an incredible defense, but, wouldn't it still be troublesome if it continued to get attacks and make noise?

When Natan had returned to the cave where Adrian lived, he found the mouth of the cave looking very messy with many large footprints on the surface.

He felt uncomfortable when he saw it, and tried to activate Mapping. But just as he stepped in, he was reminded of the 40 Skeleton Knights guarding Adrian. Finally, he heaved a sigh of relief after finding out his uncle was fine.

Without wasting any time, Natan entered into his shadow and moved a kilometer into the cave.

His worries are wasted after seeing how Adrian enjoys his life: sitting cross-legged with the dining table in front of him and some soda drinks, enjoying a show between the Skeleton Knight and Black Bear.

"Uncle..."

Adrian raised his head to look at Natan, his gaze instantly sidetracked at the waist. His eyebrows shot up, then said, "Oh? Looks like your waist is no longer in trouble, I thought it would be the same as last time."

Natan was silent without being able to say anything. His waist hurt, but he used ointment to relieve his pain. He has often said that he does not want to do it and only wants to do it once a month, but after getting many temptations from beautiful women who are loved, he can not help it.

Natan took a cross-legged seat across from Adrian and took out the chopsticks, directly taking the ripe meat to eat it.

"Our journey is too slow if it's like this, we might need three months to arrive by land and kill monsters. How ..." Nathan stopped his words as he picked up the meat and put it in his mouth.

After swallowing, Natan added, "If we fly, we can spend thirty hours, and if we spend eight hours every day, it doesn't take four days to arrive."

Adrian immediately packed all the items and put them in the Bag of Space, leaving Natan speechless as all the food on the table along with his table had already disappeared. Without guilt, Adrian said excitedly, "What are you waiting for? Come fast!"

Natan fell silent and sipped the seasoning attached to the chopsticks he held with a slight stifled annoyance.

He stood up as he patted the dust on his pants, then turned around to order the Skeleton Knight to pick up the lying bear meat.

The two of them came out of the cave and just then also the Bee Knight came out from the shadows.

Natan jumps up on it, along with Adrian who catches up. Once all was ready, the Kstaria Bees flew with wings that flapped once, then quietly without a sound while flying.

Although the snowfall is not too heavy as the beginning of the season changes, but Natan still did not dare to fly too high because it is quite dangerous to attract the attention of other flying monsters. However, monster species are either growing or evolving.

Natan has advised people at home not to return for a week or even two, this is to win her so as not to get caught up in the temptation that arouses her spirit constantly.

"Alright, but send word once every three days, at least I want to see your face."

Natan smiled warmly as she read the message Calista left behind. "All right." He replied to that message.

Natan and Adrian are already on the edge of the English Channel, they come to the shortest and shallowest part which is at least 30 — 45 meters deep with a width of 34 kilometers.

On their way here, they encountered many monsters despite not being able to attack those who flew. The city was already in ruins, plants began to evolve: Venus Flytap could eat monsters the size of an adult cow, and the roots could move, including stabbing monsters and absorbing their blood to dry.

"How long can we cross?" ask Adrian.

All they saw in front of them was the English Channel freezing, but there was a fog covering up and it was quite thick. They could get lost after entering it, not to mention the monsters that lurk there.

Natan took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. It activates Distance Vision, Night Vision, Sharp Eyes and Mapping.

Instantly his gaze could see more clearly within the fog, even Sharp Eyes gave a red mark that was the monster's weakness, even though it was two kilometers away from where they were standing at the moment.

Natan looked at the sky that was blocked by the fog, then heaved a sigh of relief upon learning there were no monsters there. "At least, it took us ten minutes to get across."

"Wait." Natan arrests Adrian who wants to climb aboard the Knight Bee.

Adrian frowned in astonishment, but chose to remain silent and see what Nathan would do. After all, he was still too weak, his ability was very low— couldn't see what was inside the fog, even he didn't feel any danger from there.

Natan took out the Sako TRG Mana, then immediately opened fire. Then he signaled Adrian to ride, and that was when he went up without removing the Sako TRG Mana from his grip.

In the darkness of this kind of fog, only Nathan could attack, which was why he could not release his weapon.

Maybe, if Adrian is in a team, it can help, but unfortunately the team he made is full and it is impossible for him to disband even though he is currently acting alone.

Knight Bees flew at a height of 120 meters from the freezing sea level, and the current speed was 200km/h, although each time it continued to increase to 300km/h.

They flew quietly without any significant hindrance, even if there were, only small monsters flying in the sky and could be killed with a single strike.

Until then there is only one kilometer left before reaching the mainland. Suddenly...

Boom up!

A loud explosion sounded from behind.

When Natan tried to look at it, he could see the enormous tentacles of an octopus. The part to suck on the tentacles has turned into a mouth with sharp teeth along the cavity.

"Nathan!"

Natan regained consciousness from Adrian's screams and immediately looked ahead. Apparently, the other tentacles had already blocked their way to escape. He turns to grab Adrian, then jumps off the Knight Bee.

Adrian shouted when he saw the red light coming from the depths of the ocean.

When they had already dropped by half, another Bee Knight came and took them away. But, it was extremely difficult to dodge the tentacle attack, coupled with the wind waves as well as ice shards rising into the sky.

Boom up! Boom up! Boom up!

The tentacles continued to attack blindly. This made it very difficult for Natan to pass through the English Channel, let alone force them to retreat, and it was not once or twice.

Surprisingly, Natan knew that the English Channel they were passing at this time was shallow, but instead there were monsters hiding in the waters, which, when viewed from its tentacles alone, were shallow, the monster could be as tall as half of the Burj Khalifa.

Nathan clenched his jaw, then flicked his hand in a furious rage. "The Fire Dragon Skeleton! Attack!"

Fifteen Skeleton Fire Dragons emerged from the shadows, and split into two pieces that attacked with full force. Half of them burned the tentacles that were blocking, the other half dived sharply into the already cracked surface of the sea water.

"Explosion Corps!"

Boom up!

The Skeleton Fire Dragon exploded while it was already on the surface, emitting a hot flame that instantly melted the ice and attacked the octopus beneath it.

"Gruohhhh!" The octopus with level 600 roared loudly, shaking the ocean with incredible strength.

Natan took the opportunity when the tentacles in front of him looked chaotic and fell like he wanted to protect his teacher's body, then he asked the Bee Knight to speed up his speed.

When they could already see the land, they did not reduce their speed and continued to fly away for several kilometers to rest.

Natan, however, was extremely annoyed at having to sacrifice 15 Skeleton Fire Dragons. If only they were on land, perhaps he could still fight it.

It seems, when I go home later, I will directly teleport, or kill the octopus.
