Apocalypse Monster

Apocalypse Monster
Chapter 037: Vely Anindya

One kilometer before arriving at the Military Base, Natan decides to keep all of the Skeletons under the shadow of Ayumi and Erina. He also returned Kuro in his shadow.

For the equipment they used, they stored it inside the Inventory Guild and only used the less conspicuous ones, such as swords, snipers and magic sticks.

"You two can fight monsters without using weapons, but make sure not to act rashly."

"Good." Ayumi and Erina raised their opposite hand, as their other hand was held by Natan.

When viewed, the three of them were like big sister in general who was walking around. No one would have thought if they were the World's Top 3 Player.

Seven minutes later since they walked. The distance they traveled was only another 500 meters to arrive, and they decided to take a short break on the sidewalk which was quite spacious.

Nathan lets his sisters cook, and he runs around looking for weapons that can be used to kill monsters. Finally, he chose to use an iron pipe used for traffic signs.

"I haven't used an iron pipe as a weapon in a long time." Natan smashed the iron pipe gently on his left palm. Then he hung the iron pipe behind his back by tying it with a cloth.

After getting enough weapons, Natan again approached his sisters who were cooking food that was considered very luxurious. Their supplies were overwhelming, even spending over 850,000 Gold just to open even more Inventory Guild slots.

Rice, they had 1000 sacks each weighing 50 kilograms, and ate 11 Inventory Guild slot boxes, and each slot held 99 sacks of rice.

"Have you finished cooking?"

"We're done preparing it and cooking the rice. Today's food is Yakiniku and Sukiyaki." Ayumi carried a thin sheet of meat, mushrooms from Dungeon Tower, handmade noodles, tofu, and other complementary materials on the tray.

Erina who turned her back to Natan continued to cut the meat sheet even more.

Natan sat on a thick carpet on the sidewalk, and began to roast the meat sheets over the coals. While Ayumi began to include all the ingredients of Sukiyaki, and some complementary spices.

"Erina, let's eat, this is more than enough." Natan gently patted Erina's right shoulder.

Erina turned around and walked on both knees, sitting to the right of Natan to bake all the meat, which Kuro would later give.

"Kuro, get out and change your body shape to be the size of a normal dog."

The shadow behind Natan began to twitch, and Kuro was seen coming out of it, which shrank many times its size from its evolved form.

Tens of minutes later, they had already finished eating the food quietly and finished everything without any leftovers.

Nathan does not care about the lives of other human survivors, he does not care whether they eat well or not, he does not care if they skimp. All he cared about right now was the happiness of his sisters.

Nor does he plan to give his supply to others, for once he gives it, then others will always depend on him to ask for food without working and becoming a burden.

Nathan stood up from his seat on the sidewalk, and let his sisters clean the tableware. "When we arrive at the Military Base, and are asked a few questions, answer as necessary. If they ask what we're eating, let's just say we're eating food sold from the NPC Shop."

Both nodded their heads simultaneously in response.

The three continued their journey westward, towards the Military Base. Nathan was in the front row carrying an iron pipe, with his brothers armed with fryers and rake grass.

It only took them ten minutes to get there. The Guard at the Military Base does not use stacked containers, but three-meter-high concrete walls.

"Stop. Raise your hands." The middle-aged man in army uniform pointed his weapon at Natan.

The three raised both hands, and at that very moment the gate opened, revealing men and women who were in their forties.

The old man began to check the equipment that Natan, Ayumi and Erina had brought. Check if any dangerous items were taken.

The short black-haired middle-aged man, overgrown with fine feathers on his face, wearing a red shirt with a black stripe pattern stood up and looked at Natan. "Where are you guys from? Why do the three of you look so healthy, and like eating regularly?"

"We were in the building two kilometers to the east. We gathered Gold to buy bread from the NPC Shop. Didn't you do the same?" Nathan prepared this answer carefully.

The middle-aged man narrowed his eyes staring at Natan. "What level?"

"Fifty."

The middle-aged man was still silent and observed Natan for a while. Then he let out a long breath and invited Nathan to enter the Military Base. "Alright, with such a high level, it's no wonder the three of you survived. You may enter, but you must go to the health department to check your mental and physical."

Natan gave a small nod and walked following the middle-aged man entering the Military Base, along with Ayumi and Erina behind him.

What he saw the first time he entered the Military Base here was a street filled with humans, they were sitting on the side of the road hugging both knees. Some looked very thin and starving, like they were about to die soon.

Natan did not care about it, he came here because he wanted to find Master as well as the person he considered to be an older brother.

Ayumi and Erina also did not seem to feel pity. They are immune to seeing such things, they also know what will happen if they provide help. Their confidence in other humans also diminished after what treatment was received.

"How many refugees are there?" nathan asked who saw a lot of refugees.

The middle-aged man who did not introduce himself glanced to the back right. "Ten thousand people ..."

Natan gave a small nod, and again asked, "What about the food? Are they here just silent without working? Wouldn't it be that if they went to the streets to kill monsters, they could survive even longer?"

The middle-aged man clucked in annoyance at getting endless questions. "Our food is exhausted, the vegetables and tubers here have also been used all. They didn't want to leave, they were terrified when they saw the Goblin ..."

"Then, going to the streets can increase survival? It's bullshit!"

If you ask for safety and a comfortable life, but do not dare to risk your life, then you will die where you live today in a more painful way.

The painful way is certainly to hold the hunger, the disease that attacks, and the worst is, riot.

"If things continue like this, the Military Base will end up crumbling." Ayumi expressed her thoughts unconsciously.

The middle-aged man stopped his footsteps, and then turned around. "If you talk too much! I'm going to drive you out into the streets and let you get killed!" He pointed his finger at Nathan.

Natan stared at the extremely annoying middle-aged man flat. It was very desirable that he beat the face of the man in front of him so as not to carelessly gush his saliva everywhere. "I'll leave the Military Base after taking Vely Anindya with me."

"Oh?! You're his acquaintance? Get him out of here! We don't need an amateur psychologist like him! He's just wasting our food!"

Natan opens the interface screen silently and observes Mapping. He used Appraisal's ability to find out the names of humans who entered the Mapping search radius.

Seen, one green dot that has the same name as the person he was looking for. His distance was only two hundred meters from him, more into the Military Base.

"I've got the place, you two follow me," said Natan who then ran.

Ayumi and Erina nodded her head, then ran after Natan.

In a matter of seconds, Nathan had reached the spot he had marked. He was already on the street to his right left there are green tents belonging to the army.

Natan looked to the left, looking at the green tent that was able to hold 12 people together. Without lingering, he opened the tent cover and saw a woman sitting behind a wooden table.

The woman was wearing a black T-shirt covered in a white suit like that of a Doctor. Black long Ponytail style hair. The woman's head was above the two crossed arms, which were on the table and buried her face.

"Sister Vely ..."

The woman's body trembled when she heard a voice that she felt was familiar. He confirmed his sitting position and looked up, revealing his black eyes, his chapped white lips and his pale white face. In fact, on the cheeks look hollow because it is very thin.

"Na-Nathan?" Vely Anindya tilted her head. "Satan?!" He stood up and slammed both hands on the table.

Vely Anindya who had gathered her consciousness was running with a limped step.

Natan looked down at Vely Anindya's ankle, her ankle was swollen and seemed to be festering as well. The swelling is very severe and there is no harm if the doctor decides to amputate his leg.

Natan walks over and catches Vely Anindya who is about to fall down. "Sister, I came here to take you away. Is Brother willing?"

"Sure! Get me out of here! I don't want to linger here anymore!" Vely Anindya shouted loudly in a hoarse voice, and crouched down while holding her head.

Natan frowned when she saw this. Is my mental brother disturbed?

Ayumi and Erina who had already come and saw Vely Anindya could only fall silent. Although they did not understand what was happening at the Military Base, somehow the two of them could feel the same pain.

Nathan looked back at Ayumi. "Ayumi, please heal him. After that we leave this place."

"Good, Brother." Ayumi gave a small nod with a stern look, then walked over to Vely Anindya.

Natan walked outside the tent with Erina. Both keep things around, and will deter anyone trying to get in.
