Apocalypse Monster
Chapter 199: Hiding from the River Guard

The three walked towards the shallow river, but did not go down directly to cross, but instead put their hands in slowly and carefully.

Natan's hand went very deep, even he had to lie on his stomach and his shoulders wet. He pulled it again, then took out a two-meter-long spear to check the depth of the water, but it turned out, even a two-meter spear had sunk and could not tell how deep it was.

He did not expect the river to look shallow, but it turned out to be very deep. If not careful and went straight through it without making sure first, maybe he would get soaked, but that doesn't matter. But it was different from his younger siblings who could not swim.

Crossing the river was not a problem, he could do it easily. But there was the most troublesome, if it passed through the river in front of him, he would enter the Elf Race Region. Entering without permission, was akin to an assault, and would probably be considered an enemy of the Hob-Goblin Race. This, troublesome.

Just as he was thinking, he heard a strange sound from the side of the forest behind him.

The khee! The khee! The khee!

Nathan turned to look in the direction where the source of the sound came from. He saw a group of Goblins, but their size was higher like an adult human, and his skin was not green like a Goblin in general, but red.

One of the Hob-Goblin raised an arrow, then opened fire.

The arrows fired were not as expected, it was not a single arrow, but dozens of arrows made from Mana.

Seeing this, Natan pulled her sisters to stand behind her, then she swiped her feet on the ground.

The ground trembled slightly, then it saw bones sticking out of the ground, forming a bone wall that repelled the attack.

When the bones and arrows met, it gave off a sound like metal colliding.

Natan lowered one of the bones, seeing how high the level of monsters were coming.

[Name : None]

[Bag : Hob-Goblin]

[Type: Goblin Archer]

[Level :595]

[HP :215450]

[MP: 185,400]

Looking at the stats possessed, Natan instantly countered the attack with the Wind Magic Mana Bullet fired from the Sako TRG Mana. It shot out forming a sharp whirlwind, and over time, it would get thinner with ever-increasing sharpness.

Nathan killed three of them out of five. The other two rushed like shadows due to his high speed, but from his perspective, he was still able to catch the movements of Hob-Goblin.

He turned back and was behind Ayumi and Erina with crossed hands.

A metallic clashing sound rang out as Natan managed to hold the dagger on his left and his hand with the same dagger. He sees Hob-Goblin wearing covered clothes, but still unable to hide their ugly appearance.

Natan pushed the opponent's dagger with a cross slash, then kicked the two with the sole of his foot.

The two Hob-Goblins in front of him were thrown into the river.

When the two fell in the middle of the river, the water surged up quite high, then exploded with more powerful water waves like bursts.

Nathan felt something was wrong. He took his younger siblings, then retreated away from this shallow-looking river. When it was far enough away, he could see a large snake upright with Hob-Goblin in its mouth.

"This ..." Natan was speechless at a loss for words, unable to explain what she saw.

This was his first time seeing this kind of thing in a Dungeon, not from monsters within a river, but rather other monsters that were not on the mission list. Normally, on each floor only had one monster. As for Hob-Goblin and Elf, he could understand her because it was on the mission list, but a snake in the river? He doesn't know.

"Wait ..." Nathan was stunned when he realized something was wrong. "the river!"

"This river has illusions? It looks shallow and clear, but who would have thought it was so deep and kept the danger inside."

Nathan's hand trembled, and he grasped it with his other hand. He dipped his hand into the river to check how deep it was. He sighed, grateful that his hand was not eaten, but, he still felt a slight pressure.

[Name : Gurd]

[Bags : Snake]

[Type : Horned Snake]

[Title: River Guard]

[HP :31,015,450]

[MP: 295,570]

Nathan turned into a shadow as he looked at the snake that turned its head with glowing orange eyes. He rushed to hide behind a tree, entering the Hob-Goblin Camp Region.

Really, Dungeon Tower Version 2.0 was extremely difficult. After this, he would come out of here to raise his level slowly outside with the help of the Skeleton Squad. Even if he wanted to ride in the Dungeon Tower, he was not a madman who would continue to climb. If he's not sure, he'll come back.

Boom up!

Suddenly the ground shook like an earthquake, the wind blew fiercely with smoke and dust rising like a storm. The trees swayed, the leaves fluttered because of the strong wind blowing.

Sensing the strong wind storm that resulted from the snake attack, Natan inevitably had to go deeper even though he had to enter the Camp Hob-Goblin area.

Ayumi, who was in Natan's hand, raised her hand which was carrying a magic wand. "Fire Tornado."

The magic wand glowed in red, then sparks appeared on the shallow river bank, then the flames lit up and revolved. The flame continued to grow, the hot air rolled up making the fire even bigger, attacking Gurd.

Gurd hissed furiously when hit by the attack, but his thick black scales held most of the damage inflicted.

"The Word of Judgment." Erina was not silent. Despite knowing his attack did not impact Gurd much, but it could at least give them time to stay away.

A pale golden light sword appeared in the sky, then with a wave of Erina's hand, it shot down at high speed until it made a whirring sound due to the friction between the air and the sword.

The head of the newly raised Gurd to get away from the Fire Tornado, suddenly fell back as a heavy weight hit his head the moment the Sword of Judgment hit him.

The Sword of Judgment did not last long, cracking slightly before disappearing. But instead of having no impact, the attack inflicted a shallow wound on Gurd's head, revealing a cracked white skull, and dark red blood rushing through.

Meanwhile, Natan who had originally dashed towards the west, changed his direction to the north where the downstream was.

...

Half an hour after escaping, Natan stopped at the mouth of the dark cave where the stream flowed into it. But, he did not enter, but rather was hundreds of meters in front of him. The western and eastern parts, no longer as black as before, were mountains.

"We must cross the river to enter the Elf Territory."

Ayumi jumped down. "Filling to flatten Camp Hob-Goblin, were Elves attacked? Will Hob-Goblin be able to attack him when there are huge monsters in the river?"

Erina shrugged her shoulders as she looked at Ayumi who was looking at her. "If you ask me, who should I ask?"

Ayumi pointed at Nathan.

"Then, who should I ask if you two ask me?" Nathan rolled his eyes.

Ayumi and Erina looked at each other, then took out a milk box and drank it.

Natan pondered while looking at the stream in front of him. He was thinking about how to bring the Elf Race out of this Dungeon Tower, and make them citizens of the Armonia Guild.

According to the source of information he knew, Elves were able to make more effective potions with high purity and only use low level materials. He wanted to take them for this reason, he could get double the yield with his half capital.

But, do they want to go together? No one knows.

Natan looked up, then looked back down. "If I say that I sent Ainsley, would they want to go together? But before that, did they know Ainsley?"

Natan sighed, throwing away all the ideas she thought about. He sat on a small, knee-high rock behind him, took mineral water and drank it.

"We're taking a little break here."

The two nodded their heads without saying anything.
