“Oh it! The remote is no longer in use, Miss! All have been replaced the same new one!”
“What's up sir? Who's coming?” there was a male voice from within, before long a black-clothed, burly man appeared to come out and stand at the small door that opened.
“This is Miss Amanda! He said he wanted to go inside but I did not allow.” replied the security guard.
“Ask him what to come here?”
“Hei! Whoareyou? It's like arranging here! Quickly open the gate, I'm going in to see my mother! This is my house, don't you just bar me from entering! What the fuck?”
The man walked over and stared at Amanda sharply making Amanda frown in wonder. He didn't know the man and had never seen him before, who was he? Ask in the heart.
“Only guests who have obtained permission can enter this house. I am the bodyguard in this house. Are there any other questions? If Miss wants to enter, please fill in the guestbook first.”
“Badness!” Amanda screamed and got out of her car. “Surge! I want to see my mom.”
“Sorry Miss! You are not allowed to enter this house without permission!” the man holds Amanda's arm, forcing his way into the house.
“Release! Move you! You have no right to stop me! This is my home.”
“Eh....ehh.....already. The Madam said let her in.” a servant hastily approached after she reported to Mosha about the commotion outside. After Mosha tells him to let Amanda in he immediately runs out.
“Have heard, right? My mom told me to come in! So, don't ever stop me from coming into this house again.” Amanda got in her car. After the gate was wide open, he drove his car in and stopped in front of the entrance.
In a hurry he grabbed his bag and entered the house without heeding the servant who opened the door for him. “Where is my mother?” he walked in and sat on the sofa.
“Ckckck! Just a few days living in the village, your behavior becomes bar-bar and just not polite Amanda.” Mosha's voice rang out from behind Amanda making her turn to look at Mosha who was looking at her without a smile.
With ease Mosha sat on the sofa. “Make tea for me.” Mosha said to the waiter who left immediately and shortly brought tea to her employer without offering it to Amanda.
“Bu....” call Amanda in a soft voice, staring softly at Mosha. A beautiful woman who has lived with him for many years.
“Amanda, let me be clear to you. Your mother is Pratiwi! Don't hurt your mother's heart and feelings by calling me ‘ibu’. You understand what I mean? My job of caring for and raising you is done. So from now on don't call me mom again!”
Amanda shook to hear Mosha speaking in a cold and flat tone. There was no smile and hospitality that Mosha used to show, no more radiance of affection from the twinkle of the eyes of the woman who had raised him. Amanda's heart is sliced, sick and sore! The woman who for twenty-three years she called mother but now she doesn't want to hear Amanda call her mother.
“Why?” ask Amanda with a trembling voice.
“What is still unclear? My daughter is Arimbi! I should have done this a long time ago, after Arimbi's return. Everything will be different if we immediately return you to your biological family.” said Mosha.
“Stop Amanda! Never call me and my husband father and mother again! Now, we're no longer your parents and you must have known that. Go back to your biological family and devote yourself to them. Learn to accept and love them.”
“I beg! Give me a chance to make amends for all my mistakes. I promise I won't repeat it again! Let me be a part of this family, and I promise to always visit my family and do everything you ask. I beg bu.”
“Amanda! I told you I'm not your mother! Stop calling me that because you're not my daughter anymore! Do you still not understand? You have nothing to do with this family anymore! You're Amanda Darmawan, not Amanda Rafaldi! Legally. You have nothing to do with the Rafaldi family anymore. You understand?”
Amanda's feeling hurt, she's shedding tears. With a trembling voice he said,
“Good. But can I take my stuff that's still in my room?”
“Everything has been done by the waiter. They put it outside. You can bring it!”
“Everything? What about my valuables? My jewelry?”
“There is no jewelry you can bring from this house! All your jewelry is my gift and it's not yours! Because the jewelry is mine that I gave you as my daughter but our relationship is no longer mother and son. So you have no right to bring anything from this house except clothes only!”
Amanda widened her eyes, shocked to hear Mosha's words. ‘What? I didn't get the jewels back? Though my purpose came here to take all my jewelry! How'this? Without that jewelry I don't have a handle to survive.’ Amanda muttered in her troubled heart.
“There's more you want to say? Otherwise, you can leave and never come here again. I hope you will have a good and happy life with your biological family. Oh yes, considering you worked for so long in the company and got a big salary, surely you have a lot of savings, right? With your educational background and work experience, it will not be difficult for you to find a job or start a business. Your money must be enough, if indeed you save your money all this time.”
Amanda could no longer speak, all the plans she had put together were blown away in an instant. Looking work? Starting effort? How could he do that? Is there a company that would accept it after what happened? While starting his own business, he had no money.
“You can bring that car! It's yours, you'll need it every day. We're not taking that car from you. Consider it a gift from us, but not with other items. Only the goods you buy with your own money can you bring.” said Mosha firmly and with emphasis.
With a shaky step, Amanda walked out and when she arrived on the porch she saw a row of suitcases there. He put his suitcases one by one into the car, after which he drove his car away from the house. Upon exiting the gate, Amanda turned her head back for a moment staring at the luxurious house she had been living in.
Nausea re-emerged when he had driven away from the residence of Rafaldi. Unable to resist the nausea, Amanda stopped her car on the side of the road and got out of the car.
He spewed out his entire stomach. Amanda held her stomach in pain, after her nausea disappeared she re-entered her car.
Amanda sat quietly in her car. The expression on his face that had been grim and sad changed, his jaw hardened and his eyes were sharp. His eyes showed deep anger and hatred.
His hands clenched tightly and then hit the steering wheel of the car while shouting furiously. He shouted out all the anger and pain that stifled his chest.
