CHAPTER 45. ARIMBI DOESN'T LIKE ROSES!
No matter how talented Amanda is, she's not their real daughter. Who would give the company to an adopted daughter if their biological daughter could assume responsibility?
“Dad! Don'worry. I'll ask you later.”
“Oh yes! Mrs Kanchana called me and she said she wanted to discuss Reza and Arimbi's engagement. What do you think...”.
“Reject!” yadid exclaimed quickly before his wife finished her sentence.
“From now on, don't ever talk about an engagement between Arimbi and Reza again! They don't fit into each other!” with a hard expression.
‘Arimbi is the wife of Mr. Emir. How can I marry Reza? Isn't that the same as suicide?’ thought.
“Arimbi! I know you really like Reza! Even though he is a good young man but he is no match for you. So you better stop liking it.” Yadid added emphasis to every sentence he spoke.
“Dad! I didn't like it for a long time!”
“Good if you have made up your mind. You have no idea how sad and helpless I am when you do so many things for her!”
Arimbi thinks his father changed because he saw the Emir treating him differently. He almost hit him yesterday. But Arimbi did not say anything to his father. A mother and her son came out of Yadid's room and went into the elevator with Yadid to take them away.
“My husband come back continue your work. I'm going home with Arimbi.”
“Sudahla. I'll escort you both out,” Yadid offers.
Just as the three men came out of the lobby, Amanda came chasing with a bouquet of flowers that Reza had brought. “Arimbi!”
She ran with the flowers and stopped in front of Arimbi before giving the flowers to her, Amanda tried to explain, “Reza asked me to give this flower in her name. He said you had misunderstood and did not want to accept this flower. You really misunderstood Arimbi! He doesn't visit you when you're sick because he's so busy. Now that all his work is done he comes to visit you right?”
Arimbi did not want to receive the flowers. He just stared at the bouquet and saw that it was a rose and a baby breath flower. Although it was beautifully arranged, it was not her favorite flower.
“I don't like roses!” he said as he looked at Amanda with a scornful look. “Mother and I decided to stop for a while here, how did Reza know that I was in the office and came with flowers? Can he predict the future? Or did someone tell him? Oh one more thing, he gave me a rose when he knew I didn't like roses? Is this how you show sincerity? Cih!”
Arimbi sneered and his eyes glared cynically at Amanda, “This flower arrangement is not meant for me!” said scorn.
Amanda tried to hold back her emotions, ‘Reza called me to ask about work and I told her that you were in the company. Maybe he was in a hurry to come so he forgot to buy the flowers you like!”
“I won't take it! Just give it back to him. Thanks you! Come on Ma'am let's go.”
Mosha looked at Arimbi meaningfully and pulled her hand and left. They know that the one who loves roses is Amanda. How could the flower be for Arimbi?
Moments later Mosha's car left the Rafaldi Group building. Amanda was still standing there. As he lifted his face, his eyes met his father's deep gaze.
She felt her heart stop beating as she tried to explain to her father, “Dad, Reza who asked me to give this flower to Arimbi. I didn't know he was still mad at her. If I had known I wouldn't have told Reza that Arimbi was in the company. He even slaps Reza but Arimbi is still mad at him.”
Yadid takes a bouquet of flowers from Amanda's hand and concludes that they were well chosen. The baby breath flower complements the rose and looks beautiful. But he knew who the bunnga was for.
“Amanda! Don't interfere in Arimbi and Reza's affairs. We as observers cannot help them with their relationship. If Arimbi does not want to be with Reza again then we have to support his decision as his family. Throw away those flowers!”
He put the bouquet back in Amanda's arms and walked towards the elevator. Yadid has been raising Amanda for more than twenty years, so she knows her favorite.The one to love roses is Amanda not Arimbi!
Moreover, Yadid has never seen Amanda check her phone since Mosha and Arimbi came and until they left. Then how did he tell you that Arimbi was in the company?
That's a lie! But Yadid did not reveal it. After all she was his daughter whom he had raised and loved for twenty-four years so even though they had no blood relation, they still had a father-son relationship. Therefore, Yadid chose to forgive his lies.
The mother and daughter have not spoken since they left the Rafaldi group building. But as he approached the Rafaldi family residence, Mosha asked, “Arimbi, did you decide not to marry Reza and stop liking her because you knew there was something between her and Amanda?”
“They have known for a long time and they look harmonious. That's why many think they're lovers, but Reza admits she loves you after you get home. That's what makes us think that their relationship is purely friendship.”
“Bu! Have you ever experienced a situation like this? Do you think there is a pure friendship between a man and a woman? There is nothing like it Bu.”
“Is it because Amanda doesn't like it or Reza doesn't? Or because Reza wants to marry you and have an affair with her?” ask Mosha again.
“Bu, only the two of them know the answer.” Arimbi's tone was cold because he did not want to talk about the two people anymore. No matter what they planned, he would not fall into their same trap this entire lifetime!
As Mosha thought about it, she angrily said, “How did Reza see you two? Even though I didn't give birth to Amanda, I raised her like my own son. How could he play with her like that?”
“I'll talk to Amanda later tonight and remind her to stay away from Reza. Who would have thought that a gentle looking man seemed to be a bastard!” mosha was angry.
“Bu, mother is right. I have to warn Amanda and tell her to stay away from Reza. If she can't get anything out of me and instead seduces Amanda, mom and dad should help keep things under control. Don't let her marry Amanda because it's tantamount to destroying her future. That guy is a real asshole!” arimbi.
Amanda was Reza's mistress in her previous life, and the children she gave birth to were all illegitimate children. Arimbi won't let them remarry in life this time. Instead, Arimbi will let Amanda become Reza's mistress and make Reza marry another woman who will make Amanda even more tormented. It was Arimbi's vengeance for her, torturing her inner self.
“Dad and mom will help you two choose the man who will marry you. For a woman, getting married is like being reborn. If you don't marry a good man, it'll ruin your whole life. You two are my daughters and I hope you can marry into a good family.”
“Bu, everything will be fine.” replied Arimbi smiling. ‘The Serkan family may not be a good family to marry, the family is very haughty and a lot of rules. But I will not give up on exploiting the Emir's influence! I will take over the company with the help of the Emir and establish myself as a successful and powerful businessman!’ whispered heart Arimbi.
