GPA CHAPTER XXIX - The Pride of Ayud -

Albert walked lethargicly to his office. His hand was holding the map, the man looked trembling. All the employees looked at him with astonished gazes, yet dared not ask. They bowed respectfully.

Albert glanced at Rachel who was engrossed in her computer. He tapped the employee's desk, slowly,

"Please get everything you need, Rachel. This afternoon, I'll have an impromptu meeting".

Rachel nodded, though,

"Good sir".

The girl was amazed by the behavior of the master. Unusually, the man looked so lethargic. "Maybe it's not a big deal" he said.

That afternoon, Albert gathered all of his employees and conducted an impromptu meeting. The employees stared at each other in surprise, but had no idea what was going on. Albert walked into the meeting room and started a conversation.

"Thank you all loyal employees of Mayora Enterprise, for your loyalty so far. To be honest, it was hard for me to decide this, but this is all I did for our common good.

The man breathed. It's too hard to continue what he wants to say.

"So morning, I received an email from the company Liam's Group. They asked us to hand over our role model officer, Rachel's sister, to work for them. Otherwise, they're threatening to shut down our company".

The man stared one by one at the faces of all his employees,

"I gather you all today, to ask for your opinion on what I should do".

Those in the room looked at each other, especially Rachel. He was very surprised by what happened, though,

"Sorry sir, but why are they asking to hire me?. I have the right to work anywhere I like. That is my right as a human being".

Albert sighed,

"That's right. However, Liam's Group's corporate holders have the power to do all that. That company, controls almost all of our company's assets. It's only a matter of time that they can shut down our company".

One of the employees interrupted, though,

"But sir, if Rachel's sister doesn't work here, aren't we going to have a lot of trouble?. Given all this time, all the company data is managed and handled by Rachel. Our company will suffer losses".

The employee stared at the faces of all his colleagues,

"In addition, now we have a lot of cooperation with other companies. It requires detailed details, which are only mastered by Rachel's sister. He's been working so hard on it all along".

Albert again took a heavy breath. It's really hard to make a decision. This concerns the fate of all of his employees, who have long worked in this company.

"Sir, I don't think that if only he was transferred to work there it would have any effect on this company. There are still many other talented people, who can occupy the position of Rachel's sister".

A well-known employee liked to make the matter open his voice. Mr. Mus who had been silent opened his voice,

"Brothers know what about company data?. My brother works because he has to, right?. A lot of brotherly work goes wrong, and it's always Rachel's sister who takes care of everything".

Hearing Mr. Mus's words, the man who had opened his voice fell silent. He wanted to protest, but it seemed like the people in this room were all siding with the woman. He just clenched his hand holding back the anger.

Albert put his hands on the table and stared at his employees one by one,

"Well, I'll try to talk back to the CEO of Liam's Group. Just pray, may he give relief to all of us".

The meeting was dissolved and each employee resumed their pending work. Rachel was pensive at her desk, her chest rumbling withstanding anger. He was very upset with Ayud's treatment of him.

The girl then went to Albert's room. He knocks on the master's room carefully.

"I'm sorry, this is all because of me. If it wasn't for me, your company wouldn't have experienced something like this. I will take responsibility for what I have done. I'm sorry, Al".

Albert looked at the girl softly, though,

"To be honest I don't want you to leave my company Ra. You've been like life to this company. From the beginning I was in office even now, you've helped me too much".

"I'll try to talk to the company's leader Al again. Hopefully, I can still fix everything. After all, there was only their request. It doesn't make any sense".

Albert smiled, smiling,

"alright. Whatever the outcome, you should not be disappointed. At least you've tried".

Rachel smiled and left the man alone in her room.

Their meeting this time happened sooner than Ayud expected. The man smiled, imagining soon he would see the girl every day.

"Did a Mayora Enterprise secretary come to me?"

Ayud folded his hands to his chest arrogantly. Rachel stood in front of the man,

"What do you mean threaten our company?. Is there still an old, unfinished grudge in your heart?. Isn't that enough of everything you've done to me, and my whole life?".

The girl raised the volume of her voice, her breathing seemed to hunt.

"I have the right to work wherever I want. You have no right to force me to do everything you want. Remember, we're nobody anymore. And forever will never be anyone".

Ayud got up from his seat,

"You were so brave to come to my office, even scolding me for the owner. Don't you think that your attitude is a bit too outrageous for Rachel's secretary?".

The girl grew furious, though,

"You're also outrageous sir. You forced me to work at your company, what right do you have?. After all, there I have mastered my field of work. Think about your decision again, sir".

Ayud chuckled amusedly,

"Until the end, you don't want to give up?. Your argument sounds reasonable, but I have the power to do what I want".

He looked at the girl seriously. The girl looks wrong, though,

"Look, I never let anyone else have what I have. And you are mine. I'm not gonna let Albert have it. I don't know what your relationship with your employer is like?".

He took his eyes off the girl and snorted,

"Here you go, he doesn't deserve you. Just stop from there".

Rachel looked at the arrogant man furiously,

"Are you really fast?. Who gave you that much confidence?".

Ayud gasped at the words that came out so smoothly from the woman's mouth. He approached the woman and cornered her against the wall.

"If I don't deserve it, your boss is even more inappropriate".

He played the girl's hair

"I'll make you beg yourself to come to me, sooner than you think. I'm not the man who can be seen one eye like before, remember that".

Rachel grinned,

"Then, why do you still want a useless toy like me?. Do you feel so happy playing with someone else's life?".

Ayud was angry at the girl's words, he slammed the vase on his desk and left. Rachel froze in place. The man's emotions are still out of control.
