GPA CHAPTER XXXVIII - Embarrassed -

After a long conversation with Ayud Rachel decided to return to the party room. His eyes looked for Albert.

Suddenly, a female reporter approached her.

"Good night, aren't you Mr. Darwin's maid who was reported to be involved in a scandal with Mr. Ayud Jonathan huh?".

Rachel gasped at the question. Her tears were about to fall, so badly the public judged her. The impact of the news was so bad for his life.

"Why did you come alone? Where's your husband?. Do you feel proud to have a rich husband?. Your life must have changed, right?".

Rachel's face was reddish upon hearing those words. But he doesn't know what to answer. Moments later, other reporters came to him. They ask the same thing.

The commotion apparently managed to attract the attention of Jeny who had been busy chatting with the wives of officials. He approached the news-hungry reporters.

"What's this about?".

A reporter replied,

"Isn't this girl your maid who used to be involved in the madam scandal?".

Jeny smiled sinisterly and looked at the girl with a condescending look.

"Ah, that's right, my friends. She's a maid who used to defame our family. Fortunately, the news quickly subsided".

The first reporter came to Rachel,

"Are you not ashamed, Miss, come to this place and show your face to the public?. If I were you, I'd choose to disappear for as long as I can".

Jeny laughed triumphantly,

"His name is also a maid huh, which understands her shame. The person who was admitted as a husband has now thrown it away. Truly a woman of bad luck".

They continued to insult the girl with very inhumane harsh words.

Albert who saw the incident immediately approached them.

"What is this Miss Jeny and her fellow journalists?. What's your business with my girl?".

The reporters looked at Albert with amazed eyes. Especially female journalists. The man's face was truly handsome, making anyone willingly fall into his arms.

"Sir Albert knows this woman?".

One of the reporters asked. Albert smiled as he held the girl's hand,

"of course. She's my girlfriend".

Some of them stared in disbelief. How could a maid who had been banished by her master meet a perfect man like Albert.

"You're kidding sir? How could a girl like this be your lover. Really funny".

Tapping one of the reporters while staring at Rachel panted. Albert looked back at her, his gaze intimidating.

"What does my woman look like?. I can sue you all for defamation. I can't accept my girl being treated like this".

Jeny smiled while holding in shame. He was so upset, how could Albert defend the poor girl to the extent. Several reporters stared at Jeny, asking for answers.

"We heard from Jeny's mother that this girl had been dumped by her husband. He was dumped by the CEO of Liam's Group, is that right sir?".

Albert nodded,

"Journalists, everyone deserves a past. Maybe this girl's past is bad, but the story will be different after with me. I'll make sure he lives happily with me".

Jeny's lips trembled withstanding anger, on her head both her hands were strong.

"Ah sir Albert, you are very generous to defend my former servant to all his means. I just hope you don't regret your decision, sir. That girl is so cunning".

Jeny looked at the girl who was looking down, as if she wanted to swallow it round and round. Albert stroked the girl's cheeks, looking at her gently.

Albert smiled at Jeny,

"I'll excuse you guys. Oh yes, Miss Jen, I'd like to warn you. Don't bother my girl again. You won't know how crazy a man who's in love".

Albert held the girl's hand very affectionately. Jeny stomped her feet and left the reporters there. From a distance, Ayud smiled wryly watching it all.

Arriving at the car, Albert looked at the girl. The worried look was clearly visible between his two eyes,

"Ra, you're okay, right?. I'm sorry for forcing you to go to this place. I'm really sorry".

Rachel tried to smile, though both of her eyes were slightly red.

"It's okay Al, I've been used to receiving such treatment from them. Everything they say is true. Though sad but I must admit it".

The girl started crying, though,

"I just really didn't expect, mama Jeny would humiliate me like that. I never did anything wrong to them Al. Why should I accept all this".

The girl sobbed, Albert hugging her.

"Please Ra, I'll make sure after this no one else can hurt you. I promise I will always try to make you happy. We go eat yok, I have a recommendation of a place that you definitely like".

Rachel smiled and nodded. Whenever he felt down, the man always came and extended help to him.

Albert also seemed to understand women very well. He knew what could make a woman feel calm after experiencing quite heavy grief. Rachel glanced at Albert,

"Al, thanks again. You defended me again. If you weren't there, I don't know what would happen to me. They're really terrible people".

The girl was silent for a moment,

"I found it difficult to breathe after hearing their words Al. I don't want to come to a place like that anymore, it's really scary".

Albert laughed a little, then drove off his vehicle.

"Yes Ra, from now on we don't have to come to that house anymore. I really don't want to see anyone bully you anymore, I don't accept. Oh yeah, let's just say I'm your closest family. Want to be anyone".

The man grinned,

"So brother, sister, parent or anyone, I'm willing Ra. I have no close friends in my life either. It's hard to get along with people who look at you differently".

Rachel wiped away her falling tears. Both of his eyes slightly swelled up, though,

"Thank you Al, thank you for everything. By the way, I met Ayud there".

Albert turned the girl a glance and then refocused on driving his car.

"Oh yeah? And he says hello to you?".

Rachel nodded,

"Yes, we talked for a while. He asked me to wait for him Al, I didn't agree or deny him. I don't know, for a long time I didn't know who that guy was".

Albert laughed a little, though,

"He has now changed Ra. There's no harm in you giving him another chance. But, for now we have to focus first with our plan. I'm sure this will work".

Rachel nodded, then dissolved in her thoughts.

Meanwhile, their car drove slowly splitting the lonely night.
