HATE Before LOVE

HATE Before LOVE
Relented.

Elif stretched her body as soon as she reached her home after work and rode a bicycle from her part-time workplace restaurant. The carpot of his not-so-large house was occupied by two motorcycles belonging to his father and younger brother, and several other items related to mechanical equipment. Elif has no problem pedaling a bike for college or working part-time. After all, he could use the bus if he was in college, and the restaurant where he worked was not too far from home.

It was night, though not too late. It was common for Elif to go home when the sky was already dark. But what became unusual was his father. Usually the father comes after Elif.

Elif hurried into the house, afraid that something might happen to his father or other family members. His feelings say no well when he sees his mother's sad face. His father's face looked disappointed. And his sister, Adit, who looks to calm his father and mother.

"Mother? Daddy's? Adit's? What's up?" elif asked his mother who was sitting in front of him with her head bowed.

"Dad in PHK, Brother." Adit answered plainly and slid off just like that.

"What?" Elif surprised. Not understanding how his father could be in phk after so long serving in the company.

Yanuar as the head of the household also explained to his daughter how chronologically he and several other colleagues became the people who were chosen in the order of the first. The contractor company where Yanuar worked for a long time has indeed been unstable in recent years and threatened to go out of business, so the leader also proposed cooperation with a large company. The head of the large company eventually acquired the contractor company where Yanuar worked.

Just a few hours after the acquisition, the head of the large company through his representatives gave some policies, one of them is replacing employees who are considered not too productive or employees aged over forty-five years to be replaced with young employees, fresh graduates, and have fresh ideas.

"It's nasty! This is not fair!" elif gusar said. "Dad's been working there for a long time. A lot of Dad's contributions are there."

"Yes but how else, the age of Father is also fifty years more, if the policy is like that you can not defend yourself."

"Can't Dad and Dad's friends sue?" elif asked, still riled up.

Yanuar. "If we kill, then we'll lose our severance, so we don't get anything."

Elif gave a rough sigh.

"But you take it easy, son, your goals will still be achievable" said Yanuar, not to Elif, but to Adit.

"Well..." Adit glanced at Elif, feeling uneasy his father spoke like that in front of Elif.

"But you have to stay in school, achieve your goals!" yanuar said firmly.

"But, well, school fees are not cheap. I don't mind if I don't have to go to football school, I-"

"But trouble for Dad." Yanuar stood up. "Dad's severance pay is for your school fees."

"But Well, I can also help Mom and Dad to"

"Enough Adit!" Jerk Yanuar. "We talked about this earlier. You'll still continue your education going to ball school. Even though Dad's at PHK, Dad's severance pay is enough for your school fees, besides we still have our restaurant business and there are still Elifs who will help work. Don't you, Elif?"

Dad didn't want Adit to abandon his dreams. Doesn't want Adit to fail to reach his goals. But not once have you ever asked what the Elif ideals are. He even more wanted Elif to get married immediately after graduating from high school than to continue college on the grounds that tuition is not cheap. But Elif does not want to get married, Elif also has aspirations, he really wants to become a successful journalist like his idol journalist who is known as the son of one of the religious leaders. But dad doesn't care.

Elif worked part-time to finance her own education. The salary he received from working part-time was always saved for college affairs, so until now he was able to meet the needs of his education costs. Sometimes I have to hide from Dad to give Elif some pocket money.

"Elif always financed his tuition with a part-time job, Mas." Zehra, the mother of the two children finally made a sound. "Don't burden Elif again, we'll strive for Adit and Elif."

"That's why I used to say you were married, didn't need to go to college. Waste of time, effort and expense." said Yanuar to see Elif. "You're a girl, at the end of the day your job is just to take care of your husband and children, no need to go to college."

"But Well, taking care of the house, husband and children also need knowledge right, I want to educate my children with-"

"Why do you always argue!" Hardik Yanuar cut off the Elif's speech. "Do you think I'd want to go to PHK like this? Are you happy if your sister can't reach her goal?!"

"I don't matter, anyway." chirped Adit who Yanuar didn't listen to.

"Don't be a selfish big brother to your sister." Yanuar said. Then it left the space.

"Dad!" call Adit.

"Mas!" call Zehra.

"Mom, Dit, it's already." Elif mediates. He knew Adit and his mother did not agree with his father's decision to ignore Elif. But Elif also could not resist the father's decision.

"But, sister, I really don't care if I don't go to football school. Being a footballer is not my biggest dream. That's more to Dad's ideals." Adit protested.

"Then you'll break Dad's heart if you don't go to football school" Elif said, sounding wise.

"But, Elif, if you have to keep working, what about your college. You also have to focus on your ideals, son." said Zehra.

"Yes, Mother is right. Huh! Why do you always act the same way, Brother." Adit Sesal. He threw his back on the back of the sofa.

Elif smiled, to be honest he also did not know why Dad did not love him so much.

"Mother and Adit take it easy yeah, I'll be fine. My college will be going well too. If I had to find another job to help mom and dad, I would."

Again and again Elif had to give up.
