40. Introduction to Sleep

The supernatural whispers that came out of nowhere, this bothered me a lot. Then who is behind me, whether Laksmi has returned and slept soundly until his breath was felt up to my neck, and this voice that reverberated softly asked me not to open my eyes and just sleep, whether I'd rather sleep in an old house than in this house or I sleep in Minah's safer house. I didn't calm down until my heart was pounding.

Since my sleeping position had made my tingling I tried to turn it a little away from Laksmi, as I changed that position to prone and my head remained facing right, suddenly the one behind me also came closer to me even though it was not attached but still felt, this made me unsettled and more stubborn. I tried to sleep thinking of the beautiful, if I would soon return, renovate the house and get married, until I finally fell asleep.

Unknowingly in my sleep I changed my position to face Laksmi, whether there was a strange feeling like someone was staring at me, I unconsciously opened my eyes. When I opened my eyes I found a blur, like there was a woman but because of sleepiness and a little unconscious I thought it was Laksmi, until my heart immediately deg, I opened my eyes again and it turned out that the one lying with me was the old woman in the bathroom, suddenly I was shocked and shouted, this time my shout was so loud that it made Batara and Djaya approach me.

"Sister why? " Tanya Batara.

I was still bored with my irregular breathing, I saw on my right and left he was no more, and I wondered where Laksmi was going.

"Where's Laksmi? " Tanyaku.

"Laksmi was praying, every midnight. " Answer Djaya.

"Huh? " i'm shocked and confused.

"Sister, why are you screaming? " ask Batara again.

"I saw an old woman sleeping beside me. " I answered loudly and with fear.

"Once again I saw those things.. " Say Batara as usual with me.

"Forget it, maybe it was a hallucination, " said Djaya as if underestimating me.

"But I actually saw him, in the bathroom he was the one I saw. " I tried to convince them.

"Just sleep again... " Say me calmly.

Suddenly Laksmi comes and wonders why all are gathered in her room.

"What's wrong? " Task her with a confused face.

"Sister saw the old woman, " replied Batara.

"Oh. It's okay Amini, he's the keeper of this house, "he replied with a smile that even made me shudder in horror.

"What is mbah mun? " ask Djaya.

"Yes, only certain people can see, even I don't know. My husband can see. " Answer Laksmi lightly.

"What does he mean he showed himself to me? " i asked while hugging Batara which I saw she was also frightened.

"That means you can feel other creatures Amini, if my husband's sensitivity to other creatures is indeed high, but mbah mun is good, has been guarding this house for a long time, has been, not only this house but this village used to exist because of mbah mun, " replied Laksmi.

"Maybe like that, he died a long time ago but still guarding this village, he is not evil. " Answer Laksmi calmed me down while taking a drink.

"Sister... Batara was afraid, " said Batara with a cold body temperature.

"I'm fine, you sleep again yaa" I told him.

Then Batara and Djaya came out of the room and probably went back to sleep, while I wanted to interrogate Laksmi.

"Laksmi, may I ask? " i said in a soft tone and almost whispered.

"Yes.. Why Amini? " the answer is soft.

"How long have you been here? " tanyaku.

"I just got married, maybe I haven't even had a year here yet" he replied, trying to calculate how long he's been living.

"Have you ever felt anything strange? " many more.

"I never, only my husband told me sometimes." she replied.

"May I also listen to what your husband has to say? " my question was whispering until he brought his ear closer to me.

"But why are you whispering? " ask her in wonder.

"Hmm. I don't know, just getting carried away. " My voice was trying to get back to normal.

"You're so funny, " he answered while he was still alive.

"Tell me.... " I asked him to tell me a story.

"So ... when my husband was a child he had a dream that he was kidnapped by invaders and made into slaves, but his parents convinced themselves that the area here was safe from the nest of invaders, after that dream, he said, my husband was very sick, like a fever that never went down, in his hide the disease was afraid of the citizens know and considered a contagious plague. Because the chills that never stop and cough and also the flu. Every day his parents concocted your herbs to heal and finally recover, but it turned out that fever was like a sign of his opening the door he could see other creatures. The husband's parents are confused whether this is a good or bad, until finally the husband can see clearly and as given the strength to heal and who chose me to be his wife is mbah mun. Hmm husband suddenly dreamed of the figure of a girl like me and was in the village that he got the picture. He was immediately searched and proposed to me. " The story of Laksmi is amazing.

I'm confused who they worship, God, or stone or plant or what. It seems like when the sun comes up I have to look for it. Laksmi recounted that this village is very gotong royong and peaceful, the people who managed to be accommodated he said was Mr. Broto who was able to move house and live in a good area with a rich environment as well. But Mr. Broto did not forget where he came from, quite often came to the old house just to clean the house, even though he could have told people to clean. But he also keeps his friendship with his little friends and everyone in this village.

Several times Laksmi met Mr. Broto who was considered very dashing and cool, sometimes brought some clothes to be shared by people here, he said the clothes were the result of his wife, he said, he loved his wife and told her good things. About his children were told, how he had a child who looked beautiful to the fear of being liked by a bad man, had a handsome boy too, and, all feel because the genes from his mother are very thick with mixed derivatives. But Laksmi sees me as a very beautiful Indonesian woman, hardly any of her mix, but if Batara does look a little.

Laksmi really likes the shade and peace of this environment, but in one week, there is always a day that makes her not calm, which is when her husband comes home. Her husband always felt to always send prayers to her, so that she was kept in work and also prayers for mutual welfare, but when Laksmi's husband came home, as if tight and always made him unable to sleep. Then Laksmi sang the lullaby that her husband sang to her every night when I met, I did not understand the language but the tone was very beautiful and made a calm heart.

The sleep song sung by Laksmi, managed to make me sleep soundly, very soundly so as not to feel any pain of the heart.
