I Will Be The New Me

I Will Be The New Me
CHAPTRE 2

Walking is indeed one of the best options to treat shackling anxiety. Seeing the peaceful scenery of the city became the savior of Quinn's heart. There was at least a sense of it so, before he recalled what had happened in his previous life.

Quinn stared at the group of humans passing by. The beautiful girl surnamed Shuvillian still remembered how all the people agreed to give her the death penalty.

The look of hatred and humiliation they cast as if it was not enough to channel all the anger they felt. Quinn received a punishment she did not deserve.

Instantly his body shuddered with goosebumps remembering the moment where he was considered like disgusting filth that did not deserve to live.

Finn who noticed it immediately asked, "You okay?".

Quinn nodded little "Yes".

The young man did not need a long explanation to know the mood of the petite girl next to him. He then tapped on Quinn's tiny shoulder using his index finger, "Would you go there for a second? I didn't get to make breakfast because I woke up late."

If it was the old Quinn, he would have agreed enthusiastically, then chatted about many unimportant things to liven up the atmosphere during the trip to the restaurant. Unfortunately Finn will not get that moment again from now on.

Quinn's short answer left the young man dead. Did I make a mistake? he doesn't like me, Finn thought confused.

They sit on the outside of the store where there are large umbrellas available to protect them from the sun so as not to glare.

Finn ordered two honey pancakes for him and Quinn. The clear netra amber focused on the object sitting quietly before him. Finn sat up with his chin, "You can tell me anything if you want. I'm the best secret keeper in Helldelune."

Quinn glanced at Finn through the tail of his eyes, "i don't have anything to tell" he replied short and focused again on the street. Daydreaming doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Finn had refrained from asking anything, but his mouth was itching to tell him how he was feeling. "You know, you're acting kind of weird today".

Quinn gasp. He snorted softly and then looked right at his interlocutor, "Any?" reloading Quinn ensures hearing.

"Yes. You know, you're not as active as you normally are. Is there something in your heart?" Quinn did not immediately respond to Finn's question, "Ah, I know. You must be thinking about why your sister's attitude has gotten worse lately."

"Why do you think that?" Quinn is interested in hearing opinions from Finn's point of view as a teacher who has clearly interacted with members of the Shuvillian family every day.

"Well, anyone will also realize that your brotherly relationship is not good. What started your relationship like this?"

"We've been like this since before."

"Bingo!"

Quinn's one eyebrow raised, he didn't understand Finn's intentions. "What?" his tanyanya described his entire confusion.

Finn ate his pancakes in a big bite. He deliberately ate a large cut and did not continue his speech so that Quinn waited and remained focused on him.

Quinn's forehead creased, then he chose to throw his face away. Making Finn a friend of the story is not bad, but doubts still come with it. He himself had not found an answer. At most he would be considered insane if he had just returned alive.

"You who I know will certainly talk a lot, explain everything in detail or even to defend all-out about your sister and not one bit reduce the level of your smile. Today you look like a sick person." Finn said without hesitation.

"...."

"alright. Today I let you skip class."

"Why?"

"I'll accompany you for a walk. You're gonna need some fresh air, right? you never once asked me to teach you in a public library before."

Damnit. Hiding something from Finn seems to be a waste. If Quinn was not careful in acting or speaking words, this one-eyed youth would definitely find out a new thing.

"I can do it myself."

Quinn got out of the chair. He steps wide "H-hey, Lady! where are you going? how's your pancake?"

Finn mentioned his name many times, but Quinn chose to be deaf in order to be free from Finn's questions that made him more stressed.

Quinn had already walked quite a distance and there had been no signs of Finn appearing behind. Then the long-haired girl assumed that Finn would be looking for her for a long time. "Thank God he hasn't chased".

Quinn walked down the city streets alone. Nothing will change until the next three years, everything remains the same both the building and the environment. "I will live well from now on, "quinn murmured affirming his heart.

"It doesn't matter if they know my different attitude, I won't be as cute as the old Quinn."

His hands clenched tightly as the shadow of Raiden's violent face flashed back into his mind.

Everything Quinn had sacrificed was only to prove his immense love for Raiden but all he could in return was a heinous betrayal that led to his death.

"Oh, Quinn? Are you that?"

The voice interrupted Quinn's impromptu devotional event. He held both his ears. "Quinn, what are you doing here?". Quinn recognized the voice. Quinn's body froze. His neck felt very stiff just moved to turn the head, "What's wrong? why are you keeping quiet?"

The girl moved in front of him so that she could be seen by Quinn, she smiled kindly "Hey, why are you dumbstruck? It's me, Penelope."

His anger had peaked to the head as the face appeared in plain sight while putting on a sinless smile. Quinn was eager to express all her wrath by cursing. Both of his hands clenched tightly until his veins piled up. Jaw hardens.

"Quinn?" Penelope frowned confusedly, "are you okay?".

"Why are you here?" The blonde girl was surprised. Not because of the question but because of Quinn's serious tone of speech. There was no smile on her sweet face for just a second.

Quinn who he knows has a soft nature, every time the speech tone always flowed beautifully into the ear cavity of the listener. "Quinn, are you angry?" asked the beautiful and elegant girl who was curious.

"Ah no, I'm just surprised that you suddenly showed up here. Usually Killian will keep talking about you all day long if you plan on coming." Hearing that Penelope chuckled while covering her mouth gracefully like a noblewoman who paid close attention to her every attitude when in front of others.

"I'm here to deliver the order," the beautiful girl held up a wicker basket filled with several neat and beautiful bouquets of flowers. "After I'm done I'll stop by Killian and Uncle Savero. See you, Quinn~"

"Yes." Yeah."

Quinn's teeth were grinding, both of his hands clenched tightly. His breathing raced quickly as a result of his stifled anger.

Quinn desperately wanted to slap Penelope especially when the girl showed off her annoying smile. It's always like that.

"I was about to nudge his annoying face" said Quinn, who then took the initiative to follow where Penelope was going.

Penelope Van Marchetti's. She is Quinn's cousin, her father is Quinn's older brother. Why are their names different? It happened because they (Savero and his brother) chose to build their own family and split up with their father who was a Grand Duke surnamed Lombardia.

None of the two brothers had any intention of continuing Bastien Lombardia's duties as a Grand Duke in this Ethereal kingdom.

They decided to leave the Bastien mansion and create a new clan while buying their own royal status. Vincent with the rank of Viscount and Savero with the rank of Count.

Penelope is no less beautiful than Quinn. Even the girl has a perfect body proportion, a classy beautiful face, and has clean skin. Without any effort Penelope will still be the spotlight of the men.

Unfortunately, the girl was very selfish and cunning. He was good at hiding his evil intentions behind that innocent charming face.

Quinn realized that all this time Penelope's joy was based on wanting to seize what Quinn had. Knowing that Quinn's cheerfulness and gentleness attracted a lot of attention, Penelope acted like they were the same and tried to grab the attention of those around Quinn.

Quinn thought Penelope was all that cool. Quinn always held onto him. Whenever Quinn meets her male friend, Penelope deliberately steals their attention, leaving them focused only on her and letting Quinn be ignored. But Quinn did not realize it and even with no shame he continued to try to keep chatting despite being ignored.

"I will not repeat my foolishness."

Penelope is seen walking lightly, greeting people who cross paths with her, sometimes she gives candy to children who are playing nearby.

No wonder the whole community wanted Penelope to be their Queen.

The shoulder-haired girl went into the flower shop of the nobles to deliver the bouquet order. Quinn couldn't listen to anything she talked about inside but Penelope came out soon after getting paid.

Quinn was still well hidden, following wherever Penelope's feet went.

Quinn was with Penelope and allowed her to become friends with people Quinn knew. But it was as easy as that Penelope threw it away, took the lover she loved desperately, even making Quinn to be put to death for her accusations.

Penelope and Raiden met each other just a day after the crown prince officially got into a relationship with Quinn because it was Quinn himself who wanted to introduce his lover to everyone so that they would know that Raiden, who was the only one who had ever known, the man he loved, he got it.

Cousin Quinn entered into a small shop that only had a signboard with an ancient letter on top of its door "I just found out there was such a shop there."

It lasted longer than when Penelope delivered the flower order. Quinn had to wait for fifteen minutes until Penelope finally came out with a wry face while sighing with rage.

Although only a glimpse of the unique netra could see Penelope put a small bottle into the pocket of her skirt before leaving the quiet narrow alley.

Quinn rushed to run towards the other building. "Lady, who are you stalking?" Quinn jumped in shock when she heard a whisper near her ear when there was no one there.

"Sister Finn. You surprise me!"

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, "Finn stuck out a curious head at what his student was observing, "Who are you following?".

"It's none of your business".

Finn was again astonished by Quinn's cold and determined attitude.

"Sister I want to ask for help".

"Hm? Please what?"

"I want to go there" he pointed to the shop in the narrow alley.

"there? Are you sick?"

"illness?"

"It's a drug store. Different from the other stores, he could make a very efficacious medicine. Even he could make a drug order for a certain disease that no physician knows."

"Oh, so."

Finn smiled, "But if you want to keep looking at the contents of the shop, I'll take you."

"You're gonna drive me?"

Seringai jahil Finn embossed. "Yes. Are you very curious about the contents of the shop or the seller?"

"What?" Quinn knitted brows inexplicably. Regarding the existence of the store he just found out, "What's wrong with the owner of the store?"

Finn raised the intensity of his smile, his narrowed eyes indicating he was teasing Quinn, "Ohohoho so you're really curious?"

Quinn scowled angrily "Don't joke. I can slap you until your head turns twice." His cynic.

"Oh you just..really saying that?" neither reply Finn could tell the answer from the sweet-faced girl's expression, "I'm your teacher, and if you forget I'm older than you, you know."

Quinn was a very polite boy, he was always friendly, and almost never angry or upset. Now Quinn was blatantly expressing annoyance and her manner of speech had changed. He looks so much like his sister.

"Ekhem!" Finn cleared his throat first, "So, that shopkeeper is an amazing person."

Finn is leading the way. Quinn stared at the back of the young man higher than her that "It seems like he comes here often, his steps are very relaxed" inwardly.

Tiing tiing

The doorbell rang loudly after Finn opened the door of the quiet shop.

There are no customers. The aroma of medicine and the characteristic roots of the newly pounded plant burst into his sense of smell, Ah just smelling it has made my head dizzy." Quinn flicked her hand in front of her nose.

"Tian, I'm coming. Where're you?"

Finn acted like he was the owner of the store. Even he did not hesitate to go into the cashier section and look for the figure of the elixir maker.

"Sit there first."

Finn showed me the available seats near the door. Quinn nodded and accepted the advice of her history teacher.

Two minutes later, someone emerged from the door near the cashier. He carried a bag of dried plants for several days.

His eyes widened as soon as he knew there was someone else in his store "Finn?! You just surprised me."

"Hey. Busy as usual, huh?" Sarcass Finn. The condescending grin can certainly only be shown to people who are very close, otherwise Finn's interlocutor should not remain relaxed responding to the tease.

Quinn's eyes their interaction looks strange. People who have long white beards may not be angry when young people invite him to speak in his native language.

"Son, aren't you being a little brash?" quinn asked in a slow tone.

"uh? He's just undercover."

The bearded man smiled until his eyes narrowed. As Finn said, it was just a disguise. He took off the beard and rubbed his eye area with his clothes.

Wrinkles in the eyes and indentations in the cheekbone area disappear. It turned him into a handsome young man who looked calm and of course became no stranger to Quinn "You..?"

The young man nodded "Yes, I am the pastor who often leads the prayers of the congregation on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays." I had it before Quinn actually remembered her face.

Quinn soon learns they've met before.

It was Christian De Santis. The young priest who will soon be appointed as the Chief Pastor. He is quite mysterious because he does not talk much, he will only open his mouth and invite people to talk first when dealing with temples or prayers that will be arranged.

During Quinn's life in the past, Christian was not close enough to him because of the busyness of a priest— and it was added to maintaining his own drug store. However, Christian is very open to helping anyone and listens to Quinn's outpouring when she's worried.

Even so, Quinn did not interact much with him. Quinn was always busy going to the palace to meet the King and Raiden the idol he so much to the blind eye.

"Why don't you just make medicine in the temple?"

The young priest shook his head as he continued pounding the medicine "I can't do it. In the temple there will always be people looking for and asking for help, I will not have time to concoct medicine. So if I'm not on duty, that could be my best reason for making this drug."

"Is this your hobby?"

Finn chuckled while patting Christian on the shoulder "Hahaha he needs a lot of money. Know it? She's very rak— bwleekkhhh uhuk! Uhuk!"

Christian stuffed the dried herbs he had just picked and were still very fresh into Finn's mouth. "Do I need to give you some roots as well? maybe this can help refresh your mind, "Christ doesn't seem to keep his image as a pastor. He behaves like a child his age.

Christian grew up in a parlour with Finn. But in recent years the state of their old home is precarious because the incoming funds are always late.

Christian is pursuing medicine to make money and help the living expenses of orphanage children whose numbers reach dozens. At least, the money from the sale of this drug can prop up their stomachs until the funds of his parlour are liquid.

"Then why don't you rent a roadside building instead? It's actually easier for you to market these drugs."

"Oh, that doesn't need to be done. My store's promotion was already pretty good," Quinn nodded her small sign understanding "Thanks to Lady Marchetti's help."

Deg

Quinn's chest was beating uncomfortably until it made her owner feel claustrophobic. Her eyes were watering "A-anu, may I ask you something?"

"Yes, sure".

"Does Lady Marchetti come here often?"

Christian did not answer. But after seeing Quinn's curiosity, the young man finally said, "Almost every day he comes here. Before I went to the temple or during my break I used to come here and he must have come."

"May I know what medicine he bought?"

"That's..."
