I Will Be The New Me

I Will Be The New Me
CHAPTRE 3

On the way home after visiting Christian's drugstore, Quinn grew quiet. It wasn't his mouth that worked, but it was his brain that kept working from the moment he woke up from his nightmare.

Didn't Penelope know that the drug dealer was a handsome young priestess? And why does he come there every day? Has he been sick all this time?

Quinn honestly wanted to come out to refresh his mind as well as get an answer. But what happened was exactly the opposite. Mountainous questions filled all the way to the cranium of his head. "Why are you so curious about what your own cousin is doing? You can just ask, instead of playing like this secret agent".

"..."

Finn then only thought of one possibility he looked at his student in shock, "Is your relationship with him not good?"

"..."

"Do I need to help—"

"Shut up! You're so noisy!" jakak Quinn was upset. Finn's usual voice sounded loud and very disturbing his concentration when he was dizzy a lot of thoughts.

Finn gave a startled look at the harsh treatment of a disciple who even boldly raised his voice to him.

Is this really the Quinn I've known all along?

"I-I understand. Sorry to bother you." Finn turned his eyes the other way. Although he was a little upset because of Quinn's attitude but he still walked parallel not leaving the girl alone.

"Dam. I was his teacher. I am older than him. It's like I have no self-respect. In fact, what great tragedy has turned him this bad just overnight? I want my sweet and innocent pupil's son back." Finn's inner cry.

At the same time, Penelope was in the mansion of her uncle, Savero. He actually stopped by to see the state of the Shuvillian family. When all the servants who saw him were pleased to welcome Penelope, "How are you?" greet the shoulder-haired girl is friendly.

Penelope did not immediately enter and spent more time outside the mansion greeting the entire maids who worked for Savero. To patent his position in the hearts of others, of course, he did not do it with a sincere heart.

It just so happened that the moment coincided with Killian's hour of rest after several hours of sword practice. Today was an academy holiday so he used the opportunity to train alone at home.

"Sister Penelope!" Killian exclaimed in delight when she saw the figure of the woman in the sky blue dress as bright as her beautiful smile engraved on those kissable lips.

"Killian~" Penelope's spoiled tone gently eared, she spread her arms welcoming her cousin's sister, "Oh look at my beloved cousin this one. Look at you, in a week you've managed to extend your legs again, eh?" Penelope said as a greeting to Quinn's youngest brother.

"Have you not been here for a week, are you very busy?" asked the sweet young man. Penelope shook her head, "No, not really. I'm just taking care of some flower bouquet orders."

Killian who was quite sharp in thought so frowned, "Sister, you are a noble. The viscount must have worked well, right? Why do you keep looking for your own money?"

Penelope is good at changing the flow of speech. He pulled Killian's hand and gave her a necklace of his own "You want to keep it for me? I'll also give one to Quinn later."

"This is the brother he made? Wow, that's cool. Brother is really versatile, unlike the other brother. He only knew how to waste time by wandering around was unclear."

Penelope knew Killian had not been close to Quinn in the past, and the reason was that the siblings were inversely related. This can be used to further strengthen the relationship between the two by making Killian more loving Penelope more than a cousin.

"Hahaha you're always cruel as always. You don't know what Quinn's business is," Killian smiled, "Sister, you're always understanding as usual."

"Oh yeah, I want to give this to you too." Penelope took out a red rose and gave it to Quinn's younger brother, "This is for you. It's a sign of my love for you."

The famous Killian rarely smiled even now chuckles at receiving the flower bashfully "Thank you very much, sis. Let's go in."

"Is my uncle home?"

"No. He had just left, it seemed like he was having some business with his business partner".

"What about Quinn? Is he home yet?" Killian looked surprised. "So you already know Quinn isn't around?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, I met him in town. What's up?"

"Wouldn't he be studying with his teacher?!" Killian's jaw hardened, thinking that Quinn was ditching again just to get around.

"I don't see anyone with him." said Penelope. He is not completely lying.

"What?!"

"Why are you surprised?"

"A-ah no. I was just surprised by Quinn's attitude. I thought she was a submissive girl." Her gaze changed as sharp as a sword eye. Who likes to hear such unfortunate information, plus Finn he hires instead let Quinn wander the city.

"Sister, you want to rest?"

"Um.I want to rest in Quinn's room, and wait for her to come home. I'd like to talk to him later."

"Then you just wait there. I'm gonna change my clothes."

"All right."

This is certainly not the first time Penelope has come to visit. Even so, Penelope never tired of deliberately slowing down the road in order to see all the contents of Savero's mansion building.

The atmosphere felt very different from in his own home. There was always warmth to it though Penelope also knew the remaining members of the Shuvillian family were not very close to each other. At least they are better off than their own families.

The mastermind of the relationship between father and son is Savero himself. He changed when his wife died. Savero becomes increasingly quiet and rarely honest and does not want to show his feelings. Even so Savero does not completely ignore the two children left by his beloved wife.

Penelope chuckled, "I think father and uncle are really siblings." Given Vincent and Savero are brothers whose nature is more or less similar.

"It's a pity I wasn't born to be uncle's daughter. But no problem, I will also get affection from Uncle Savero."

Killian had already finished replacing her training clothes with a more casual shirt.

That handsome young man's clever brain couldn't get Quinn out of there. His heart had not been broken since Penelope conveyed the information.

Killian's long legs stepped swiftly towards Savero's study. He knew there was no father there but it was certain that Aston, Savero's personal butler, was inside to help Savero tidy up the paper remains.

"Uncle Aston!"

The old man who had been wearing glasses to aid his vision gasped in shock when the door opened violently and Killian called out to him half-stomping, "Young Master, Killian? What's up?" Ask the man confused.

Aston immediately got up from the seat "There can I help you with?"

"Did you see where Finn and Quinn went?" Aston knew the omen, where Killian was angry and furious then there was not a single lie that was undetectable by his eyes. Killian's eyes are getting more observant.

"I saw the two of them leave this morning, Young Master. It seems they're going to the public library to study."

Aston became nervous as Killian glared at him as if searching for his own truth in the middle-aged man's eyes.

"so."

Savero's youngest son did not respond and left the room.

"What's going on?" Aston muttered.

Currently Quinn and her handsome teacher who came to the attention of the girls in the library were reading their respective books. During the day they read something as heavy as political history, which the brain is already hard to digest. Finn felt that too.

"Why not just go home? You need rest" whispered Finn to appreciate the people sitting by their desks.

"I still want to be here."

In fact, the slender girl was also no longer powerful, but Quinn chose to last a few minutes only until he did not meet again with Penelope. He was certain that one hundred percent of his scheming cousins would invite him to a long chat if they met at home.

Just imagine. Chatting with the accuser who got you beheaded, who managed to snatch your heart, and will even officially become the Ethereal Queen after the day of your death, is that fun? No, right?

"Since then your face has been so tense. I'm sure what you're reading doesn't get into your head."

"I know that myself."

"Then why are you still pretending to read it? Isn't that a waste of time?"

"I don't want to go home now. Thats enough. Don't talk anymore. Your voice is very disturbing to me." Quinn chided before Finn could ask another question.

"His words are cruel." Finn's grouse in the heart.

So was Quinn's temporary way to avoid chat with Penelope before she made her fixed plan.

It's getting dark. The sky no longer shows the blue sky, street lights one by one replace the role of the sun to illuminate the world. The children ran back to their homes after a day of outdoor activities. The wind that blows slowly adds to the cold.

Quinn deliberately walked slowly to make sure after his return there was no more Penelope in the mansion. This kind of cold was already his usual feeling, the coldness of the air outside was no worse than the coldness of the palace dungeon.

Finn, strangely patiently accompanies wherever the girl wants him to. He looked like an older brother who was taking care of his younger sister carefully.

Repeatedly he had to glare at the young men staring at Quinn with veiled intent. Yes, even though the girl was protracted in her own mind so as not to notice people's gazes at her.

Finn yawned a few times, his eyes began to feel heavy. He usually takes a nap. But today he was busy walking around the city on foot accompanied by a boring atmosphere. Because that's what makes him sleepy because Quinn did not touch him at all.

Suddenly his eyes opened wide "Wire. Ah sure Killian will go berserk because of this. What reason do you have to do?" His brain worked hard to figure out a way to avoid Killian's newly unthinkable rampage after they had already started to get close to Quinn's house.

"Stay here brother. You haven't spent a long time with us."

Killian and Savero deliver Penelope to the front of the Shuvillian train. Viscount Marchetti's house was far enough from here that it would take more time and be unsafe for a girl to walk in the city alone at night. Moreover a noble like him who should have gone by train.

"Why haven't you ever used your father's train?" Ask Savero.

"I love walking uncle, enjoying the view of the city is never boring for me, even though I am also big in this city hahaha." replied Penelope cheerfully.

"Sister. You promised you'd come to that place with me, didn't you?"

"Yes, Killian. Tomorrow morning I come. I'll stay here." Penelope increased the intensity of her smile, making Killian sumringah.

"Really?!" Killian seemed enthusiastic waiting for tomorrow to arrive.

"Yes. Then I'll go home first."

Half an hour passed and Quinn had only reached home when the sun had completely sunk.

Only Aston welcomed his return. Still the same as before, when Quinn was still hiding sadness through his cheerfulness, only Aston noticed Quinn well.

Quinn used to not take everything she experienced seriously and never put it in her heart. But after he faced death and saw the indifference of his family to the end of his life made Quinn who now found it difficult to show his carefree side in front of them.

"Uncle Aston, I'm home." said Quinn weakly, implied a sad feeling from his face even though the girl had carved a wide smile.

"Welcome back, Lady Quinn." a wrinkled sign appeared to her both sides of her eyes as the man's lip line rose, "You look very exhausted. How about you just rest?" understanding as usual.

Quinn's brain doesn't want to be invited to stop for a moment thinking about many things. The body may be able to rest, but it will not relieve fatigue due to the brain is still working hard.

"Yes." Yeah."

Finn is still following Quinn. It's nothing, just in case Quinn needs her 'help.

The two of them were shocked when Killian appeared out of nowhere and now stood before them with an extremely unpleasant look.

I guessed it, thought the young man with the blindfold on the side of the sweet girl.

His irises reddened, his hands clenched, he glanced at Finn and Quinn alternately at "Quinn. I think you've forgotten your duties as the first child in the Shuvillian family."

Finn slightly lowered his head in order to see Quinn's expression standing next to him without reacting even though he had just gotten a snatch from the younger brother.

Finn was trying to lower that tense atmosphere a bit, "A-anu Your Majesty—"

Quinn raised his hand in front of the amber-sliced young man's face, indicating that Finn should stay quiet and not interfere in his affairs.

Killian set his breath before finally scolding Quinn. "You keep wandering around unclear. Wasting your time with something useless. You think your smile can change this world for the better?! Why would you show that joy to someone who doesn't need it at all, huh?!"

Honestly speaking. Although Quinn's younger brother was in a big rage but he did not forget his older brother's side which was already different from his usual attitude.

Quinn was always shaking when Killian was angry with him. The poor girl's head will always be bowed to the floor.

Now it's become very opposite. Quinn returned her gaze flat and emotionless. Killian lost her intention to continue scolding Quinn.

"I never forget my true self. Everyone had their own way of achieving a goal," Killian frowned as Quinn replied, "I also have my own way of keeping this family's good name. I thought you were smart, but you just relied on your logic and emotions to overcome everything. I'm not stupid, sister. You assume all the ways you do are the most correct until you also tie me to your ridiculous idealism."

Killian and Finn looked at Quinn's properties that had completely changed by one hundred and eighty degrees. He was no longer the coward and was always the one to apologize to others.

"No need for you to drive I won't make any more mistakes. I've got the best way for me." Quinn rotates both his eyes and then passes leaving Killian still in shock with a new word two seconds later thrown by Quinn.

Finn was increasingly made fussy when Killian held his arm with a feeling of excitement (restraint anger).

Killian's two eyes were indeed large and became even more frightening when he was glaring at "You. Come with me now." Killian puts emphasis on every word spoken.

"Your Majesty, I will not run away. Oh well, you intend to crush my arm bone?" Stimulation Finn pain. Finn didn't expect him to be made into a place of impingement.

"Shut up! You have to explain everything to me!" Killian's touch was unmitigated, his sense of regret had reached the crown. Finn felt himself used as an impingement on Killian's first defeat in an argument with his own brother.

Killian takes Finn's arm off just after they reach the special room that Savero gave Killian to study in. "Explain everything!"

Finn gulped and turned his gaze "I don't know what to explain either. You yourself see how he suddenly turned into like everyone else."

"What does that mean?"

"Yes, as you just saw. He suddenly became cranky and did not like to talk much. He didn't even smile a bit today."

"Had something happened to her?" Killian immediately dismissed the question when he realized that Quinn had always been under his supervision. All Quinn's behavior whether at home or outside the house even though Killian never knew.

"I also feel like something's wrong with her."

"Is it because of that wall?" Killian Mumbled.

The nickname 'face of the wall' Killian gave to Quinn's heart, namely the Crown Prince Raiden Vill de Sorrentine. For some reason since he first saw Raiden, Killian immediately gave him the stamp.

Not without cause, Killian some catch that Raiden is overconfident. He assumed everything would be submissive and within his grasp. Because what? Yes, because he is the future King.

Raiden's arrogant gaze made Killian even less fond of him. But Killian chose to pretend he didn't see any of it and let Quinn stay close to the Ethereal prince because their closeness brought great benefits to the Shuvillian family.

"Damn it! It's driving me crazy!" The 15-year-old ruffled his hair after recalling the words and gazes from Quinn that had been so gentle all along.

Finn grinned faintly at Killian's behavior "Don't you better ask directly what reason Lady Quinn changed? Maybe he's depressed for a reason he's been piling up all alone."

"You want to die?"

"I don't have anything else to report. I'm going home now. Good night, Young Master Shuvillian." Finn stood at the door before he left, "Did you never think once that someone could become bored and fed up when treated unfairly?"

"uh? what are you trying to say?"

"Maybe you should simplify your mind and narrow your hypothesis regarding Lady Quinn." Finn deliberately gave the words that did not directly lead to Killian, but the young man was smart enough to capture the meaning.

Finn immediately left the room after seeing Killian's increasingly darkened expression.

Savero's youngest son was grieving. His feet kept moving knocking on the floor below him "It looks like I should tighten my surveillance."

Killian considers all of Quinn's attitude to be only part of his plan to attract the attention of Killian and Savero.

Quinn just finished a shower. The thing that caught his eye changed Quinn's first goal. The long-haired beauty did not rest her body and sat at the table by her balcony.

The contents of the vase have changed. Earlier this morning the vase was filled with many colorful flowers and now only one type of red flower was left that filled the medium-sized vase.

Quinn touched the blood-red petals "This flower..."

A waiter who helped Quinn get ready told "Lady. This afternoon Lady Penelope came and rested for a while here. He said he wanted you to replace your flowers with fresh ones."

Quinn lifted a dozen of the Popi's flower stalks out of the vase. Then he poured out all the water in it onto the floor— precisely onto the thick carpet below.

"L-Lady?! What are you doing?" The waiter was surprised and immediately wiped the carpet with his long skirt.

There was nothing in it, Quinn flipped the flower over and saw a paper wrapped around one of the flower stalks "As I thought."

Quinn ran to throw the flower in her hand and made it splash incoherently on the floor. He went to his family's private library to look for a book.

Arriving at the library, the girl was surprised because her father was also reading a book there while waiting for dinner to be served. Savero looked surprised as Quinn opened the door nonchalantly "Why are you running?"

"I'm in a hurry. Sorry to surprise you."

Quinn did not pay attention to Savero anymore. He hurriedly headed to the bookshelf where he placed all kinds of dictionaries.

"Here we go." Whisper Quinn while pulling a thick book from her place. He crouched down and opened up sheet by sheet, looking for the meaning of the red Poti flower itself.

Two minutes...

Five minutes...

"Yet," his eyes scoured the pages, read one sentence at a time explaining the origin of the flower and then at the end of the page there is one word in bold and larger in size than other letters, to conclude that that part is the essence.

"Cema...Tian...?"

(For those of you who do not know, poppy flower shape like this yes^-^)
