I Will Be The New Me

I Will Be The New Me
THE CHAPTER 30

Raiden took a necklace with emerald stones as his complement. The necklace is beautiful and luxurious already like a special necklace that is only used by the empress. The carvings and embroidery on the necklace look very complicated, jewelry experts alone are not necessarily able to make the same model.

Raiden touched the emerald diamond, "I'll give this to Quinn. Pfft! maybe he'll be accused of stealing sacred objects from the temple. No, the temple didn't know this thing because it had never been stored there before."

There was a small portion of the sacred objects the Spirit God gave away to be proof of the truth of the agreement stored in the dungeons of the palace such as the Crown of Kings and Queens, as well as sticks and rings used by the future King for coronation ceremony (coronation). All decorated by emerald colored stones as a sign of respect for the spirits of the spirits as the strongest state supporters.

The emerald stone when brought closer to Quinn who has spirit power will absorb the spirit energy, but the way it takes a long time. The quickest way was to kill Quinn and bring the spirit stone closer together to absorb all of its power. It's like killing its host for that power to be taken away. So that way, Raiden can master the power that he had always wanted. Being a King as powerful as a God would be able to be realized.

Raiden read every report Evan sent him. "There's no one like Quinn to explain. I don't think he's good at tricking people." Raiden had already gotten information that the helper Quinn was explaining back then was not in Helldelune.

The cold-looking young man propped his head up with his hands, "Carter isn't really blurred. It could be Quinn's wits so I don't suspect him. Why is the train there anyway? looks like he's been visiting Marquess Sylvestria's son."

His diamond blue eyes stared intently forward. "He's away from me, maybe he's already aware I want him. Haha, no big deal. I have many ways to gain that power."

While in the spacious and magnificent room, Emily continued to cover herself with a thick warm blanket. He kept glancing at the door of the room and the balcony. "Your Majesty Quinn, come back soon. I could get in trouble if I get caught by the butler." The girl kept chanting the same sentence. The panic made his body flooded with cold sweat.

The ginger-red haired girl snorted in shock when she heard the sound of someone landing near the balcony. "Your Majesty...!" both of her irises were watery, feeling relieved as soon as she saw Quinn had returned to her room.

Quinn took off her robe before entering the room. "Sorry, I'm a little late. Thank you for helping me." Quinn said as she patted Emily's wig-wrapped head.

Emily wipes away her tears of anxiety, "Your Majesty, we don't have time anymore!"

Quinn's bedroom door was wide open, revealing the figure of a slightly fat woman in the same clothes as that worn by Emily. She is the butler, one of Raiden's spies who escaped dismissal as well.

Both of his eyebrows are linked, "Emily. What the hell are you doing here? you were gone an hour ago and you haven't come back yet." Bertha told one of her subordinates. "How is His Majesty Quinn resting?" he stepped in and approached the big bed.

Quinn lay comfortably under that thick blanket. His face looked very calm, "Didn't he have nightmares?" Emily immediately shook her head, "No, butler. He seemed to be in a good mood after receiving a gift from His Highness the Crown Prince."

"Is that so? then we can tell the Prince about this." After checking Quinn's body temperature, Bertha took Emily out of there to keep Quinn's rest time undisturbed.

The pretty girl's eyelids opened revealing her unique iris. "Good thing just in time. Tomorrow morning Raiden will come."

The next morning the Shuvillian mansion was a little more boisterous than the day before. The servants who were already very familiar with Penelope looked sad for having to part ways. They also give small gifts as mementos. "You guys are so good, I'm running out of words. If there's time, I'll definitely stop by and visit you again."

They hugged each other before Penelope was escorted out by Savero. The previous morning Savero's nephew had noticed something, this morning it happened again. Penelope then asked, "Uncle seems to lack rest. Uncle's eye bags are so much clearer."

Savero wore a flat expression as usual, "I'm fine." actually Savero couldn't sleep at all. Every time he tried to close his eyes, all of Quinn's words immediately stuck both in his brain and in his heart so that discomfort undermined his calmness. But, how could he possibly be willing to share such a thing with others.

"Preferably Uncle did not hold it alone. Why didn't Uncle try to be honest and talk to Quinn face-to-face?" Savero gasped when Penelope mentioned her daughter's name, "Ah, I'm just guessing. Since yesterday Uncle has been looking down and staring at family paintings."

"I've asked the coachman to put your part painting in the car." Savero replied, turning the subject over.

"Oh well, thank you."

"Sorry I can't take you. I have to go to town hall immediately."

"Eh? what's the matter?"

"There's nothing. I'm going first." Savero passed away leaving Penelope in front of the mansion alone.

Penelope had been standing at the door with one suitcase filled with her belongings. His face looked lethargic as he kept thinking about what kind of poison he had drunk. "Quinn, I've misjudged you. Cih, that sucks."

The sound of the horseshoe that sounded approaching caught Penelope's attention. The beautiful girl raised her face. A knight dressed in palace clothes came directly to face him. The man looked down respectfully, not forgetting he added a knotty smile as a sign of modesty. "Good morning, Lady Marchetti."

"Yes, good morning. Is there anything I can help you with? if you want to meet Count Savero, he just went out" Penelope explained to her for a mere notice. He slightly tilted his head and looked at the burly man in confusion.

"I was sent directly by Prince Raiden to deliver a gift to you, Lady."

Penelope smiled, feeling herself remembered by the Crown Prince and forgetting the warning given by Quinn yesterday afternoon. "Really?" The knight gave a small nod and handed him a large gift box with a red ribbon. From the box already looks luxurious, Penelope can not guess what is in it.

"Receive, Lady. The Crown Prince sends you his greetings. He also said once in a while you could send him a letter."

"Then I will accept it. Thank you for delivering it to me, Mr. Knight." don't forget Penelope gave her beautiful smile to the Knight.

"It's my responsibility, Lady. Then, I'm allowed to withdraw now. Have a nice trip."

The Savero family train was ready to depart after changing its tires. The coachman took Penelope's luggage to the storage area on the train. "Lady, everything's ready. Let's go now."

"Well, thank you for helping me."

Getting to Verenity takes about two and a half hours. Saturation began to seep and on his lap there was a gift from Raiden that made Penelope more impatient. His hand was already moving about to pull one piece of the dark red ribbon, but he then remembered the important thing. "Oh my goodness!" Penelope hurriedly asked the coachman to stop right at the crossroads.

"Uncle, please wait a minute. There's something I want to buy. I won't be long."

Penelope hastily ran across the street and searched for Christian's drugstore not too far away. Today the city streets are quite crowded considering this is a holiday together.

Triing

The doorbell swayed as soon as the door leaf was opened by someone. Penelope circulated a glance throughout the room looking for a Christian figure disguised as a middle-aged man concocting potions.

"Excuse me, Grandpa Will. You're inside?" call Penelope because the store owner didn't show up. "Is he not here today? but the shop was open," murmured Penelope puzzled. He couldn't leave without buying the medicine, if he left here, Penelope wasn't sure she would have the courage to go out.

Penelope ventured closer to the cashier's desk, smelling the unique fragrance that made the girl with shoulder-length hair provoked to look at the back room which was only covered with curtains.

As soon as Christian came out to take another herbal plant extra as an antibacterial ingredient, they were both equally surprised. "Lady Penelope, apparently you're here."

"Grandfather Will, what are you doing inside? you seem so busy that you don't hear my call" asked Penelope curiously, she tried to look back but Christian immediately pointed her at the cashier's desk.

"I'm experimenting with a new drug, Lady," Christian replied briefly but still gave a friendly impression. "Medicine as usual?" vincent's only daughter was a regular customer and the medicine was ordered only one, so Christian was already very familiar with the order.

Christian stopped taking drugs, he looked at his loyal customers. "Lady, you still remember my warning, don't you? if you take too much of this drug, Your body will by itself make immunity and the drug will not have any effect again."

Penelope didn't stop putting on the best smile she had, "I remember, grandpa. How else. If you have a different type of medicine, can you recommend it to me?"

"I only have topical medication, but the aroma is more pungent and when applied topically will feel sore for a few minutes depending on how heavy the wound is."

"Well, then I'll buy it too."

"Well if you want it."

Christian did not comment further, he immediately neatly packaged Penelope's order and provided additional notes on the new drug he bought. "Thank you for trusting me, Lady."

"I'm also grateful for your help, Grandpa Will. Your medicine is really very good."

While walking down the road back to his horse-drawn carriage, Penelope just remembered Quinn's words. Quinn's sister was increasingly made to remember when she heard rumors that some people were talking about when opposite her.

Rumor has it that Quinn pretended to be seriously injured by a bandit attack only to attract the attention of his prince. Such a dirty and dishonorable way was not appropriate for a noble woman who was very protective of the dignity of the family as well as herself.

["Raiden is not that good until he wants to give a gift to someone he has met twice. If he gives you a fancy gift, it means he wants something from you."

"I'll guess now. She's gonna give you a fancy gift, maybe a necklace or a dress? want more details? the dress I think will be blue with a jewel studded with a beautiful chest."

"Quinn, how can you be so pretentious? are you tired of bearing the status of a useless princess?"

"Just up to you. Believe it or not, you're still going to keep breaking through for your own life."

"Then how do you help me?"

"There's way. Just trust me."]

"So, he had an idea by dropping his own name? he was too reckless, "it was inevitable that Penelope felt a little sorry for Quinn. Just for the sake of helping himself, Quinn was willing to take a fairly courageous path. "Aren't they afraid it's tarnishing his family name?" ask Penelope to herself.

Penelope couldn't get her curious, she wanted to immediately prove Quinn's pretentious guess. Penelope gently opened the gift box from Raiden, that useless ribbon just so she folded it and kept it next to her empty chair.

"Why do I feel like I'm handling a bomb? take it easy, Penelope." The young girl took a deep breath to control her irregular heartbeat. Penelope's eyes glared in disbelief at the contents of the gift. Just like Quinn's guess, none of his cousin's words missed.

"He's right. How did he know that much detail?" he murmured who still refused to admit.

What does Raiden want from me?

Above the fold of the dress was a small envelope containing a letter with Raiden's handwriting. Penelope read each sentence carefully.

..."Hello, I hope you don't forget me, Penelope. Sorry I can't see you anymore. Accept this gift as a sign of my apology. I hope you like it....

...I feel like this dress would be great if you wore it. I want to see you wear it when we meet again later on my birthday. Don't forget to send a reply, yes. I'm really looking forward to your news."...

Her blue irises glazed over as she read Raiden's deceitful letter. "D-he seemed sincere about saying all this. Damnit. If Quinn hadn't poisoned my brain with those shitty theories, I would have been so happy reading this attentive letter from Raiden."

Penelope thought about what Raiden wanted from her. The fact that Quinn was able to guess the color of her dress as well as the model exactly, it meant that Quinn knew when and how she could see it. "Cannot be. Don't tell me this is Quinn's second-hand dress that she didn't buy?!"

Instantly his mood became bad. In order to maintain calmness, Penelope wrapped up the luxurious gift of the Ethereal Crown Prince before. "I'll be home soon."

Both of the girl's hands began to tremble and she tried to assuage her by squeezing her skirt so tightly that it left tangled in the bright blue skirt she was wearing right now.

"Huh.. relax, Penelope. It's not the first time it's happened to you, let's smile."

That was the tranquilizing sentence that Penelope kept instilling in her mind when she got off the horse-drawn carriage that Savero had lent her.

The girl looked up at her house which felt cold and gloomy, only a gripping aura was felt. It was different when he lived in his uncle's house.

"Thank you for driving me, uncle. I'll bring this bag myself. The painting just put it outside first."

"Okay, Lady."

His thin hands were raised pushing the door of his house. A fake smile has been put up to greet his father, Vincent Van Marchetti.

As soon as one door opens...

Ctaar!

One pottery vase was thrown at him and broke after landing right on Penelope's smooth forehead. The girl's body was piled up and she finally sat down in front of the door grimacing in pain.

"Lady!"

Blood poured from his right forehead which was also bruised. Penelope's vision was clouded by dizziness and pain and spread to the back of her head. "Lady, are you okay?" a waitress with tears clutching her master's body, she tried to stop the blood by pressing him with her sleeves.

A man with a messy appearance stood haughtily before Penelope. His eyes squinted sharply at the poor girl like he was looking at dirt. "How many times have I told you not to leave the house?! are you satisfied to see me angry?! You son of a dissident!"

The servant who had been hugging Penelope's trembling body spoke up. "Your Majesty, the Lady has just arrived. Please let her rest for a while." her great-grandson was scared.

"Low-humans like you have no right to interfere! get out of here!"

Vincent the head of the family strongly kicked the frail body of Penelope's personal servant until he fell hard enough, his elbow slammed against the floor, "Argh!" pekik's sick.

Penelope misled in shock at her father's increasingly heartless actions "Lily!" the girl who was still holding back the dizziness went to help, but Vincent immediately pulled his daughter's hair "Argh! pain, Father.." - cried Penelope.

"Hey, you brat. Don't you have anything to say to me?!"
