CHAPTER 27

Ayunda slowly opened his eyes, he saw this place is not foreign and very familiar, of course it will not be foreign, this is a room in the hospital with medical devices attached to his body. The nurse who saw Ayunda opened her eyes and called the doctor.

"What happened to my son Doc?" mama Mira asked as the doctor walked quickly to the ICU.

"I don't know yet, the nurse asked me to check, the mother prayed that this was good news" the doctor replied without stopping her path.

Mama Mira again sat down limp, it has been a year Ayunda has not been conscious after having an accident. The doctor had almost given up but he did not allow the doctor to release the tools attached to Ayunda's body, he was sure Ayunda would one day regain consciousness.

"What happened to me doc?" ask Ayunda after the doctor has finished examining her.

"You were in a coma for a year" the doctor explained.

"Koma?" reset Ayunda.

"Yes.you had an accident exactly one year ago, you slept very long, didn't seem to want to go back" the doctor assured Ayunda's incredulous questions.

Hearing the doctor's words, Ayunda's memory returns when she left in anger after finding her lover waiting for her, leaving the hotel room where her lover was making out with another woman. He drove his car fast and lost control, he remembered a voice calling him but after that he was unconscious and did not remember anything. Then he felt back to the time where his father left for eternity, but the way of life was far different from what had been experienced before.

"Did you stop something?" ask doctor.

Ayunda nodded her head. "Dok what I experienced during the coma was just a dream?" ask Ayunda, because what she feels is real.

"What do you feel and see there?" ask doctor.

"I repeat the time of papa's departure, but what happened there is very different from what has happened before that I actually dok" replied Ayunda.

"Example?" the doctor asked again.

"There the papa left without me being able to see and hold her, while the truth was that papa left after talking to me and mom and we both hugged papa while crying.

"Tok I can know everything they say and do is like watching a movie but I also play a role there" explained Ayunda.

"Doctor.... What really happened to me?"

"You feel something very painful, because it wants to make up the past that is full of beauty and does not want to go back to the present"

"But it seems like what happened is not what you wanted and when you feel your fear finally returns to the present"

The doctor was silent for a moment "No need to be afraid, many people who are in a coma feel the same as you experience" he continued.

"I'm doing some research on this, because that's when your mom asked me to keep taking care of you here I agreed"

"Mama.." call Ayunda. "Where is my mom doc?" tanyakanya.

"Dok.. all is ready" said one of the sisters and the doctor nodded in understanding.

"You'll be transferred to the hospital room, your mom's there. We will talk again" replied the doctor with a friendly smile rubbing Ayunda's hand and left.

"Yund...." Mama Mira repressed happily, her wait for one year paid off already after seeing Ayunda regained consciousness.

"Ma.." call Ayunda.

"You miss you baby, you miss your voice, you miss your laughter, you miss everything you have, you don't leave your dear mama" Mama Mira said, sobbing and hugging Ayunda.

"Ayunda Tiara" cried Alisa who immediately stripped off making Ayunda and Mama Mira outline their embrace.

"You are so heartless, you are evil, you let me in fear waiting for you to come back, I hate you" Alisa said venting her grief all along, saying as she continued to strip away. Considering Ayunda who almost left her, as a friend she loved Ayunda very much and was afraid of losing.

During this one year he continued to invite Ayunda to talk besides Mama Mira, every two days he will visit Ayunda even though his best friend did not open his eyes. The doctor told him that if Ayunda would listen to every word he said, his efforts were not in vain Ayunda now re-opened his eyes.

"Don't go again" Alisa's pinta sobbed and hugged Ayunda.

That night Alisa stayed at the hospital, she kept telling Ayunda what happened during this one year.

One week passed after Ayunda regained consciousness from her coma, she was allowed to go home. Erick's doctor treating Ayunda escorted him to the car. "Sister Erick, thank you" said Ayunda.

Two days after Ayunda regained consciousness from her coma, she found out that the doctor who treated her was named Erick. He was with Alisa.

"Lisa... Do you know anyone named Erick?" asked Ayunda, she felt she missed the figure of Erick in her dream. The dreams? the doctor said it was not a dream but at that time his soul was adventuring, so he could feel as if it was real.

"I know him well, you know him?" alisa replied with a big smile.

"really? who's? where's the?" tanya Ayunda was excited.

"Hey... Don't you know the name of the doctor who treated you?" ask Alisa and get the headband from Ayunda.

"Erick" Alisa mentioned the name of the doctor who treated Ayunda. "That's the name of the doctor who treated you" explained Alisa.

"Shortly... if you don't know the name of the doctor is Erick...." said Alisa while holding her forehead with her index finger "Why are you asking about someone named Erick?" ask Alisa.

"He was the one who was present to accompany me while I slept long" Ayunda replied.

Alisa smiles, she knows why Erick's doctor could be in Ayunda's subconscious memory, because the man often invites Ayunda to talk when he checks on Ayunda.

"Yunda.." call Alisa break the silence as they both mute. "Doctor Erick takes very good care of you, he takes care of you with affection, even I often see him talking to you, stroking your hair, grasping your fingers, peeling your forehead and stroking your face gently"

"Maybe that's why you know him when you sleep long" explained Alisa.

Ayunda silently heard Alisa's explanation, maybe that's why she felt her touch was very real. Ayunda held her lips, "What the doctor kissed me" she thought to herself as she recalled her long kiss with Erick.

"What's wrong? what happened to your lips?" alisa asked to see Ayunda holding her lips and like a person thinking about something.

"There's nothing, my lips are dry" Ayunda answered lying.

"Yund.... Kevin came to visit you too"

"He spoke to you while stripping off, he was so sad to see you back then"

"She often comes even if not as often as I am" Alisa said while chuckling.

"One day before you realized, she came to visit you, I saw her clutching your hand tightly while crying" explained Alisa.

"Kevin?" ask Ayunda while thinking.

"Don't tell me you forgot to have a boyfriend named Kevin" Alisa said, staring at Ayunda.

Ayunda went back to silence, no one knew about Kevin hurting her yet, by throwing her away and therefore she had an accident.

"Ayunda... What's wrong?" alisa asked as Ayunda kept quiet.

"There's nothing Lisa, I'm just tired" Ayunda replied. This time he did not lie, he was indeed tired of what had happened to him.

"Well, you better rest" Alisa lowered Ayunda's bed so that her best friend could lie down, then she covered Ayunda while taking a deep breath.
