Chapter 28

Ayunda awoke from her daydream. "Sorry doctor, I mean thank you doctor Erick" Ayunda said as she realized she was calling Erick's doctor on a sister's call. The call was like it had been deeply embedded in his memory and his tongue was already highly trained to pronounce it.

Doctor Erick just smiled at Ayunda's explanation. "You have thanked me too often" he said. "I did everything because.." Erick stopped his speech and walked over to Ayunda.

Ayunda was nervous as Erick approached her, "What is this feeling?" his inner. Ayunda felt her heart beat faster and the rhythm was not in order so the distance and Erick's doctor was very close.

"I love you Tiara" whispered doctor Erick to Ayunda while opening the car door. Ayunda is shocked when Erick's doctor calls her Tiara. Their bodies were so close, Ayunda could feel her back coming into contact with Doctor Erick's chest. Doctor Erick seemed to hug her from behind, it made Ayunda's body tremble in nervousness.

"Come in, it's very hot outside" said Dr. Erick.

Ayunda just nodded, she was still very nervous to say the words, she used to be close to doctor Erick but this was very different from usual.

Along the way Ayunda only sees the streets that are no different from one year ago. Ayunda let out a long sigh, she remembered when she woke up in the morning when she felt someone stroking her hair and clasping her hands.

"Doctor" said Ayunda, surprised to learn that the person who did it was Dr. Eric.

"You're awake, how are you feeling?" ask Erick's doctor without letting go of his hand.

"Much better doc, thank you for taking care of me" replied Ayunda sincerely.

Doctor Erick smiled and helped Ayunda sit down, after which he took the glass in the nightstand. "Drink, this warm water can make your body much better" he said, handing a glass to Ayunda after he helped Ayunda sit more comfortably.

"You're going to the cafeteria for breakfast, he asked me to look after you here" Dr Erick said.

"Let's eat!" doctor Erick thrust a spoon filled with porridge in front of Ayunda.

"I can eat myself doc" Ayunda took over the spoon and bowl of porridge that was in the hands of doctor Erick.

"I'll call a nurse to help you clean up"

"Later I will come back again to make you walk after I have examined other patients" Dr. Erick told Ayunda after Ayunda finished her meal and helped her take medication.

Erick's doctor clasped Ayunda's hands together as she got off the hospital bed. One year of coma made it difficult for Ayunda to walk, with the doctor Erick patiently trained Ayunda to be able to return to walking.

"Akhh" cried Ayunda as she was about to fall, Erick's doctor quickly grabbed Ayunda's body and hugged her.

"She's too good for me" said Ayunda after seeing Doctor Erick's kindness.

"What do you mean by his words, he loves me? he's just a doctor treating his patients, isn't he? then why did he say those words" thought the sabil Ayunda continuing to stare at the streets. "I love you Tiara" the phrase continued to play on his head.

"Sister Erick... Are doctors Erick and you the same?" ask Ayunda in her heart.

Ayunda's thoughts about Erick's doctor came to a halt when she saw Kevin driving his vehicle come to a stop right next to the vehicle he was riding in because of the red traffic light, kevin's car glass was fully open so that Ayunda could clearly see the face he had always missed.

The man looked gloomy unlike usual "What's wrong with him?" ask Ayunda in her mind.

Kevin looked at the photo on the front screen of his cellphone, it was a photo of the two of them while still together. "What's wrong with you? why are you still using that photo" the inner Ayunda who did not understand Kevin's attitude.

"Kevin cheated on me and chose to walk away from me, then why would he have to assign a nurse to me? is she sorry because of her I had an accident" Ayunda's mind was full of questions for Kevin.

Ayunda again felt her heart quiver when she saw Kevin kissing his picture, not feeling her tears flowing her memory back during her happy days with Kevin.

Kevin always accompanied Ayunda in his difficult times who had to lose a father, Kevin filled his empty heart and gave happiness to him. Every day Kevin brings Ayunda breakfast that he eats on his way to school in Kevin's vehicle.

Ayunda rubbed his tears, he looked at the departure of Kevin who drove faster than the vehicle he was riding.

"You missing him?" mama Mira asked, which surprised Ayunda.

"He always took the time to come to visit you when his work was not too crowded" explained Mama Mira.

"Kevin hired a special nurse to look after Yunda, the nurse who saw you first came to her senses" Mama Mira said.

"Ma's nurse?" ask Ayunda again and get a nod from Mama Mira.

"She loves you so much, without her, she doesn't know how to take care of you" Mama Mira said.

"Ma... did Kevin finance all of Yunda's treatment?" tanyakanya.

"It was only a few months at the beginning of your coma, after which you did not know suddenly the hospital did not ask for the slightest payment.

Ayunda was silent for a moment to think, could it be Dr Erick who asked the hospital to arrange his treatment? or is there someone else who is paying for it?

"Ma... what is the name of the nurse who took care of Yunda? Yunda wanted to thank him during Ayunda's hospital visit"

"The nurse's name is Febby" Mama Mira said, making Ayunda recall her trip during a coma. "Feby" heid.

"Oh my God... What happened to me? What do you want to show me?" it was a quiet murmur that no one could hear.

"Let's get off" Mama Mira asked when they arrived.

Mama Mira helps Ayunda to get off while doctor driver Erick helps to bring down Ayunda's belongings.

Ayunda immediately entered his room, nothing changed from this room all the same as one year ago. Her picture and Kevin still adorned her dresser, they were smiling happily at that moment.

"I'm sorry I couldn't pick you up at the hospital" Alisa's voice startled Ayunda.

Ayunda turned her body to face Alisa. "I was in a meeting with our new boss" explained Alisa.

"New boss?"

"Yes.... Mr. Robert has been handing over the leadership of the company to his son since eight months ago" Alisa replied explaining the state of the company they work for now.

"When do you want to go back to the company?" ask Alisa.

"returned? is that maybe Sa?"

"I haven't worked for a long time, someone must have replaced me and me"

"But no one is as good as you" Alisa immediately cut out Ayunda's words. "I've reported to the company that you've regained consciousness and will recover as soon as possible"

"It's a letter from the company that you remain an employee at the Adhipramana Group company" Alisa gave a letter calling back to work for Ayunda.
