CHAPTER 33 ”Luka And Duka”

Ayunda couldn't help but laugh at hearing a narcissistic question from a well-known authoritative, cold and frightening leader of a large corporation Nathan.

"Why are you laughing? Do you want to tease me?"

Hearing Nathan Ayunda's question stopped his laughter. "I am not a woman who likes to tease men, but I am a woman who is difficult to seduce men" Ayunda replied.

Ayunda's answer made Nathan think hard, it meant that Ayunda indirectly implied she was unaffected by what Nathan had done today to give his attention to Ayunda. "A difficult woman to get" he murmured that only he could speak in his heart.

"I'm sorry if I'm being rude to laugh at you" Ayunda's apology roused Nathan from his daydream.

"I just didn't expect a big company leader who is notoriously difficult to approach turns out to be narcissistic as well, hehehe" Nathan smiled at Ayunda's words.

"It's not like I heard that you're grumpy and scary"

"We can go back to the office now, I'll be with you"

"You sure?" nathan asked hesitantly to follow Ayunda's proposal.

"I feel better sir, this is an important meeting do not miss it" explained Ayunda.

Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the Adhipramana Group. Nathan walks into his room while Ayunda prepares the materials for the meeting.

"Pak it's time for a meeting" Ayunda enters Nathan's room to remind him.

"Ayunda... Are you okay?" Nathan is still worried about Ayunda's health.

Ayunda nodded "I am well and well" he replied.

Nathan stood up from his seat of greatness walking up to Ayunda and immediately hugged the girl he had always missed. "Thank you for being present in my life and being by my side right now" she whispered softly to Ayunda's ear.

Ayunda unraveled Nathan's embrace and retreated slightly away from the man's reach. "Now we have a meeting room sir" said Ayunda after neutralizing himself from nervousness and surprise.

The meeting with the board and shareholders went well, it took them only an hour to convene and then Dariel closed the meeting this afternoon.

During the meeting Ayunda sat behind Nathan, he lowered his head even more after a few minutes of his eyes locked on Kevin's eyes. The feeling of love is still very big on the man, but when remembering how the man hurt him immediately his chest felt tightness and then averted his eyes.

"Are you okay?" nathan asked when he saw the face of Ayunda who was not excited when tidying the documents in front of Nathan.

"Is it because of her presence?" guess Nathan made Ayunda moody.

Nathan's guess is very precise and correct but Ayunda does not want to admit it "I'm fine sir, for what I am troubled with the past" Ayunda replied.

Nathan can smile in front of Ayunda but he knows Ayunda lied to him. "It seems really hard for me to get your heart" Nathan let out a rude sigh after saying it inwardly.

They came out of the meeting room and will return to their respective places. Nathan had just opened the door of his room, he stopped his steps to enter as someone greeted Ayunda.

"Is your mother healthy?" an authoritative voice that Ayunda was very familiar with greeted him.

"Sir Robert, I've been well thank you, all thanks to the help of Siska's father and mother" Ayunda replied to the middle-aged man who had always been kind to her.

"Siska's mother and I invite you to dinner tomorrow night. Come with Mira" Mr. Robert spoke again in a loud voice.

"Sorry sir, mama is in Bogor at this time and will only be back in three days" Ayunda explained.

"It's okay, you can come alone, your mother hasn't seen each other for a long time, she's missed you so much"

"Last he saw you two months ago, but you haven't been able to talk" Robert replied with a chuckle.

Ayunda smiled at Robert's words "Well sir, thank you for the invitation" Ayunda replied as she lowered her head in salute.

Nathan notices the interaction of the two from afar and listens to the conversation of Ayunda and her papa. "Why am I late to know all this" she said.

Tonight Alisa accompanies Ayunda, it is common for every Mama Mira not at home then Alisa is the person who will accompany Ayunda.

"I don't believe your explanation" Alisa said after hearing Ayunda's explanation of her relationship with Nathan.

"Whatever you want to believe or not with me Lis" Sighed Ayunda. "Who do you know my heart for? and who do I hate?"

Alisa was silent at Ayunda's reply. "I'm sorry Nda. I didn't mean to bring up your heartache"

"I want you to be happy Nda, I'm happy if you're close to Mr. Nathan"

"Many women approach her, and you're the only woman she's ever been around"

"You're special Nda. Try to open your heart to him, he's more handsome than Kevin even a little bit" Alisa laughed to herself with her last words.

Nathan and Kevin have similar faces, only the charisma of the two distinguishes. "Of course they look the same, because they're brothers"

"We were just chatting normally, sharing stories and information as usual" Alisa explained.

Talking about someone?" erick asked and got a nod from Alisa. "We're talking about Kevin" Alisa replied.

Erick sighed loudly. "The love can not be lost even though it has been given a wound, a wound that was made intentionally to hurt but ended up like this" upset Erick, Kevin who must be responsible for the current state of Ayunda.
