“POW! BUKS! BUK!”
One samsak was almost destroyed, swinging forward and backward to take a pounding blow from Kean. His sweat had washed over his bare-chested body and was only wearing work pants.
Don't ask his almost numb head hit the sink dozens or even hundreds of times.
It's been an hour Kean's been at Nasep's gym and doing this. Nasep and Dewi only looked at each other when they saw Kean's endless energy. Not the energy, maybe the emotional impulse that made his body not want to stop beating the samsak in front of him. The floor was wet with Kean's sweat and his eyes began to unfocus until several times he was hit by a samsak swing that attacked him.
“Lo temenin napa ade lo who is playing. Ato lo tell stop all of them from him dying of soy sauce.” The desire of the Goddess on the husband who was even fun playing with his children while watching Kean.
“Ah well, her name is also male. I'm lucky he just beat samsak, not make bengep people's faces.” Nasep is light.
Although impressed indifferently, actually Nasep knew that Kean was trying to vent his emotions. It's just that he wants to let his best friend escape first from the current emotional overflow.
“Eh elo speaking!” the loud elbow of the Goddess made Nasep grimace.
“Kalo tuh kiddo why keep babehnya people come in here continue to destroy nih sasana, you are ready, huh?!” Goddess barks.
“ISH! Yes if nakutin-nakutin really likes ya!” timpal Nasep stood up from his place.
“Nah fear you! Hence, sono temenin. Tell him to stop before his bones crumble all.”
“Iya yes akh. Nih bini nakutin aja, I abisin also tuh mouth tar malem.” Nasep's grouse finally complied.
He took the gloves he used and approached Kean.
“Need cement sparing gak lo?!” nasep from under the ring.
Kean paused for a moment with a gasping breath. He held onto the samsak so that it would no longer swing and hit him. He pointed his hand up, asking Nasep to come closer.
Nasep is approaching. They stood face to face and prepared in their respective positions.
“You better stop before I make battered.” Hashe Nasep with a grinning smile.
“Lo to hajar, hajar aja. I won't let my guard down or give up.” Timpal Kean is full of confidence.
“Akh songong emang. Forward lo!” change Nasep who challenged him.
Kean started attacking Nasep, pointing his fist at Nasep's face. Nasep quickly dodged, putting up a fight and one punch landed on Kean's cheek.
Kean distraught. Because of fatigue his focus began to decrease.
But he did not stay silent, he again attacked Nasep, landed a punch in the face of the nasep that made the man retreat a few steps to get a blow from Kean. It turned out that Kean's energy was still enough to make his face turn blue.
Kean smirked in satisfaction successfully replying to the nasep punch.
Replacing the attacking Nasep, pointing his fist at Kean and countering the blow was not inevitable. Occasionally Kean attacked aggressively and nasep defended and occasionally Nasep attacked and Kean defended by protecting his head. Naas, as Kean was about to retaliate, he lost quickly to Nasep and, as a result, Kean,
“BUK!!” a hard blow landed on Kean's left jaw making the tall body of the overflow then fall flat on its back.
Nasep smiled with satisfaction for successfully subverting Kean. This way he deliberately did for Kean to stop.
“Still want to add lo?” challenge Nasep still with his horses and the many boxing moves he exhibits.
“Damn lo bang!” sahut Kean who only laughed because he was defeated by Nasep. Though usually he who makes Nasep fall sprawled.
“Gue is here every day. I can't lose to Lo!” Nasep took off his gloves and attached them to the ring. He approached Kean and sat down beside him.
Kean doesn't chim. His defeated laughter dissipated, turning into a cold expression. He was indeed wanting to be beaten, teaching one side of his jerk behavior that made Disa decide to leave.
“Lo all right bro?” the question was asked by Nasep with great anxiety.
He had never seen Kean this mess despite the many problems he had faced.
Kean did not answer. He got up from his place, took off his gloves as well as a white cloth wrapped around his fist. Look at her red and bruised fingers. On his swab was the rest of the salty blood at the corner of his lips.
“Gue feels better after lo hajar.” Kean without looking at Nasep beside him.
It was better that this kind of pain he felt. Pain that will heal after he compresses and given red medicine. Appeal to the pain in his chest, which is not easy to disappear even though he has denied a lot by saying, he is fine.
“There was never anything good after I hit it. Minimal self-esteem lo jatoh because it lost to a distended altet like me.” Arrogantly the nasep shows his round stomach and is not as cool as it used to be.
Nasep is a boxing athlete. But after he suffered a serious injury to his breastbone, he finally decided to stop and choose to build a gym. Luckily he accidentally met Kean who was very messed up with his family problems.
He said he was lucky because they met at the right time. They have been injured and strengthened each other until now.
“Udah long ago I have no self-esteem. Or maybe I never have self-esteem.” Kean said in frustration.
For him he was like a buffalo that fit his nose so he had to obey what Sigit ordered without being able to refuse. As an adult, he lost his own identity. Feeling doubt and fear for the many things he should have faced bravely.
“Making up for the sake of protecting valuable people for you, does not mean you do not have self-esteem bro.”
“Lo's self-worth is seen when you try to fight for what should belong to lo.”
“And inget, stop to keep cooped up in your past. Stop only caring about your fear and disappointment in the past.”
“That was decades ago. Now you're an adult, you're a husband. Lo also has a great life team that you must defend until the end. That's the value of lo.” self-esteem
“Dear what if now you exchange with the feeling you should stay in?” unconsciously the sentence just flowed from Nasep's mouth.
He knows exactly what his best friend's family is like. More than that, he knew exactly Kean's fear of not being fully healed.
When Kean came, Nasep did ask about Disa who did not come. But Kean instead looked annoyed and was unwilling to answer. Beat up the samsak that Kean chose to express his anger. Nasep realized, Kean is having serious problems with his wife.
“One pesen I, do not get you nyesel because it releases the future lo for the sake of the past that you should have buried. Don't take.” Nasep's message, patting Kean on the back, left Kean alone.
His best friend needs to reflect and think things through on his own.
Kean was blown into place with droplets of sweat still descending the lines of his body and face. He thought well of Nasep and Clara this afternoon.
Trying to raise his head, staring at the vast ceiling of the gym but still making him feel confined.
Caged,
It was not this room that actually locked him up but his own feelings that did not free his soul. He always lives in anger and misery. Making each night's sleep filled with nightmares about his past.
It was all just about how Sigit looked at him coldly, snapped at him, pushed his body away and treated him like a dispassionate puppet. All of that was so deep in his mind.
But then Disa's face appeared in his mind. His eyes were warm and made him calm. His smile hinted that everything would be fine. Then the hug that made Kean feel like a nightmare was just a nightmare that had nothing to scare him.
If the woman leaves, what will she be?
Maybe Disa was right that one of the reasons she married Disa was because she did not want to lose the comfort that Disa gave but, more than that she seemed to find a cure for her pain.
Kean gasped like he was aware of something. He immediately got up from his place. Picking up a polo shirt that he then wears while taking the car keys. I think he knows what he has to do now.
*****
The wheels turned rapidly, grinding wet roads because of the water that flooded the rest of the rain this afternoon. Dark asphalt under the sky that is still blackened, like it will lower back the rain that makes the sense of loneliness more and more.
Kean was hunting for time to go home, stepping on the gas pedal very deep so that the speed of the car was faster to get home.
Home, the one place Kean believes he wants to go right now.
“Goodnight sir,” the greeting he got from Revelation that opened the gate for him.
Kean did not reply, he only pressed the horn a few times for this man to open the gate immediately.
As you understand, Revelation immediately ran and moved quickly, pushing the gate with all its might. After the gate opened completely, Kean immediately entered the yard and stepped on the brake pedal to screech as the wet tire rubbed against the wet grass as well.
He immediately descended, with long steps into the house.
“Czech.”
The door leaf opened and as usual only a quiet atmosphere filled the room.
Just as he was about to step in, he saw Disa who had just come out of his room. Maybe he heard the sound of Kean's car horn or the sound of a car engine that is very familiar in his ear.
For a moment they fell silent, looking at each other with a rumbling feeling in each other's chests.
Kean decided to go first. He wanted to see more clearly the face that was currently staring at him. At the press of the light switch as he passes through it, so that the room is brighter.
Disa's face is clearly visible, a sad face that holds a lot of sadness but looks trying to be okay.
Several steps taken by Kean made the two stand face to face.
Kean doesn't chim. He preferred to look at Disa who was ducking in front of him when she kissed his hand. As realize if true Nasep said, now he has become a husband of a woman he loves very much.
“I'll take it aa drink.” It was only a moment after Disa took off her hand.
“Wait,” hold Kean when Disa turns around.
Kean's low voice made Disa's heart beat again.
“We need to talk.” Its effects.
Some time Disa was stunned before she turned around and agreed to Kean's invitation. It is true that they need to talk.
“Iya, a.” says Disa. He tried to take his hand off Kean's grip and walked first to the dining table.
Kean followed him, they both sat facing each other.
Kean was a little surprised when there was a birthday cake in front of him with a candle that had not been lit. There's a “Happy birthday, my husband” on it.
“You remember it?” asked Kean while staring at Disa page.
“Iya. I put a reminder on my calendar.” Sahut Disa's.
Kean smiled faintly, looking at the cake before him. He almost forgot that today he is exactly 29 years old. A fairly mature age with his mind still dwarfed. Ironical.
“Thank you for remembering.” Look at the cake with admiration. He could imagine that Disa made it with all her heart.
“Aa want to blow out a candle now?” tawar Disa suddenly. He was trying to melt the atmosphere.
“Em, I'm too old to blow candles.” Kean scratched his head which was not actually itching.
His whole life just this time he celebrated his birthday with a candle blow. Usually his friends will only invite him to hang out at cafes or bars. There are no birthday wishes, only euphoria to celebrate Kean's birthday.
“Don't look at the ceremony but see the essence.” Could light a candle with a match nearby.
“Our age is reduced and our maturity must increase.” He picked up the cake and pointed it at Kean.
“Make a wish a,” he added while smiling thinly.
“I am not worthy to ask for anything.” just blown the candle to leave a small puff of smoke that disappeared in a few hands.
“Hopefully aa long life, cheap windfall, always healthy and restful throughout the steps aa.” Saying do’a that Disa conveyed with clean and full sincerity.
That standard sentence suddenly sounded special when someone special said it.
Kean looked at the pretty face before him.
“Thank you.” Reveal it.
For a moment they looked at each other in silence. Each had already gathered a sentence for them to say, only not knowing what to start with yet.
“I,”
“I,”
Say both at the same time.
“You first,” Kean welcome. He chose to sit leaning back while waiting for Disa to convey her meaning.
“Em, can I make a request today?” tanyanya doubt.
“Hem, say.” Kean had to hold his breath for a while when he saw the restless face of Disa.
Disa tried to muster up her courage to make her point. After some thought, maybe it's a good time to say it all.
“Can we end it all now?” he asked with a trembling voice. The courage he gathered was not strong enough to make his voice sound confident.
Kean lowered his head for a moment, smiling faintly at himself. He never thought that Disa would say it this time, when he wanted to fix it.
“You're going?” Kean would rather ask. Maybe this has something to do with Clara's protest this afternoon.
“Detach me go or not, I need clarity.” This time the sentence sounded firm, like the sentence that Disa had said to Reza and made her quite stunned.
This simple sentence turned out to be a painful whip when hearing it directly from Disa.
"I told you I need time to think, can't you wait?"
"Until when? Is the time required by neglecting me?" Isa quickly chimed in.
"What does it take, time to think or time to get used to ignoring me?"
"Is it time to get me used to being ignored?"
"How does it feel to make others feel ignored, what's fun?" the trembling sound of Disa seemed to hold a lot of bitterness.
He was worried all night. No, for a long time he was made to hesitate by Kean's feelings and during that Kean was also used to making Disa wait uncertainly. For Disa this is enough. It's enough to understand what Kean did to her.
Kean was only dumbstruck, staring at the eyes of Disa who was starting to red and wet. Again, he himself made his woman cry.
“I feel, I can accept any lack of my partner.”
“Only did I realize that I could not accept one thing.” He stared at Kean with the page, trying to convince him that he was firm with his choice.
“I cannot accept someone who cannot be at peace with himself, much less at peace with his past.” Continue with certainty.
In his saliva rough then he squeezed his hands that were linked to each other to convince himself to continue the next sentence.
“In our relationship, I not only want to feel happy every day but want to feel calm facing anything both.”
“I want to feel cared for his whereabouts, not just in puja as the only one my husband loves.”
“Because I want to feel that our family is not just a forced marriage bond but a place to go home and feel welcome. Regardless of anything that has ever happened in our past.”
“Maybe for aa my request is excessive. But to me this is important.” Tandas Disa who finally bowed. Everything he wanted to say he said. If it should end, shouldn't it be faster, so that the pain doesn't get deeper?
There was no change in the expression of Kean's face or protest in the midst of his request. But his gaze that page makes Disa not care.
“Then for that reason you chose to go, sa?” lirih Kean's.
He nodded slowly without lifting his face. He's already so tired.
Kean rubbed his face rough. He never thought that Disa would ask for something like this. It was simple but difficult for someone as unfamiliar as Kean. What it looks like to feel calm, feel cared for and feel accepted, has not been clearly drawn in Kean's mind.
One thing he knows at the moment, “I think, it won't be this scary when you decide to go." Kean chimed in with a raining gaze.
He leaned his body on Disa, "Do you think I'll let you go?” his sentence sounded resolute making Disa raise her face looking at Kean.
His sharp eyes and cold face, made the feeling of Disa wink.
“If aa loves me, aa will know what to do for me.” He was able to guarantee it to her husband.
Kean doesn't chim. He prefers to move then to approach Disa and pull his hand.
“A,” Can hold his hand in Kean's grip and pull it.
“Follow me, then you will know.” Not even once did Kean look.
“But where are we going a?” He began to panic. She was afraid her husband had dark eyes after hearing her request.
“CAN THIS TIME ALONE YOU BELIEVE IN ME?!” exclaimed Kean who was staring sharply at Disa.
His eyes were reddened and it was like there was a clear liquid gathering at the corner of his eye and ready to break.
Fear, like the feeling Kean had been feeling moved on him.
But in the end, Disa nodded. He was trying to believe in Kean. It all starts with trust, right?
Kean did not wait long. He pulled his hand to follow him. Take him into the car even he himself who put a seatbelt around his wife's body. In a single step of the accelerator pedal, the car runs backwards out of the gate into a deserted road.
They were both staring at the dark and desolate streets. For a moment Disa turned to her husband who said nothing. His face was cold and unfriendly. Where's Kean gonna take him? Is he gonna be okay?
