Chapter 28. We're not going anywhere

“When will he wake up?” The worried face of Mami Joanna could no longer cover her sata asked the state of her favorite daughter-in-law to her son.

“Sea is fine, Mam...” Noah replied, calming the mother.

“I'm hungry. I want to eat,” Sea replied.

Soon Noah picks up food on the nightstand that Mami Joanna accidentally left for him.

“Although this food is not warm anymore, but eat first. At least your stomach filled first,” said Noah.

Noah did not look stiff when feeding Sea. Moreover, his wife did not seem to refuse when Noah began to bribe him.

“Is there anything else you want? I'll have Mami take her later,” said Noah who wanted to break the silence that night.

There was no response from Sea. Until the last bribe was finally over, Noah's wife still survived in silence.

But just as Noah went to pour water to fill Sea's empty glass, his wife's words finally sounded.

“I want to go home.” That's what Noah heard.

Without looking at Sea and without stopping his hand pouring water from the glass pitcher into the glass Noah said, “Of course we will go home, but after your health is completely restored.”

Sea's heavy sighs echoed in the quiet room. “Not us, but I.”

Noah did not respond to his wife's remarks. The man tried to hold the tremors in his hand. Don't let me spill this water, Noah thought.

“I want to go home!” said Sea.
