Chapters 84. Punishment

Two more days even a month after Alesandra and Alfio were detained. While Roy is now included in the search list of people (DPO).

The authorities acted quickly in handling the accident and assault case against Sea. Until today, the day on which will be held a judgment hearing by the judge.

“Can I meet Alfio's sister after the trial?” Sea leaned against her husband's arm in the court waiting room.

“Do not force him to meet you,” replied Noah.

“Means I asked you, Phiu dear.” Noah glanced at his wife, the look of those puppy eyes again that he met.

After sighing, Noah finally nodded as one hand stroked his wife's gentle mane. “I'll work on it. Let me talk to him first.”

“Thank you, Phiu dear.”

“Kiss me if you're really grateful,” laughs Noah.

Sea rounded his eyes when he heard the temptation of the husband. “Mas! Others can hear you.”

Sea glanced around, making sure no one heard her husband's jokes. He would be very embarrassed if one of his lawyers heard about it.

Seeing Sea's response which Noah thought was very funny, he was more excited to tease his wife. In Noah's heart grateful, his jokes were able to reduce the tension of the Sea.

Honestly, from last night Noah was worried. Ever since Sea knew the truth, regarding Alesandra as well as the relationship between Alfio and Aneesa, the woman had been devastated.

The sea was more silent and shut itself in the room. He who could not continue to accompany his wife because of work, made Noah's worries become multiplied.

Luckily for Noah, this morning his wife's smile and laughter returned. Although only a little, but Noah felt his worries diminished.

The agenda of this morning's hearing was the reading of the verdict to the accused Alesandra and her man. Sea, Noah, Peter's father and Mami Joanna entered the courtroom accompanied by their 4-person legal team.

Not long after, Alesandra and her man also entered with handcuffed hands. The two were seated side by side in the chair.

If the man continues to look down, different from Alesandra who still had time to look up at Sea. Unlike when he turned his eyes to Noah, the woman seemed to want to ask for help through his gaze.

The man who attacked Sea was charged with murder with plotting. Especially after the investigation, the baby in the womb Sea really died due to the event.

The tight grip of Sea's hand was so felt on Noah's arm. It could be felt when the presiding judge invited the man who had made them lose their prospective baby to stand in his place.

Realizing that, Noah then gently rubbed the back of his wife's hand, “Need something? Fresh air, maybe?”

Sea shook his head and smiled towards her husband. “No, I'm fine,” he replied.

“Don't worry about anything. There's all of us here,” Noah said.

The tense atmosphere really felt in the courtroom. No one dared to vote except the presiding judge. Alesandra's man, who was the defendant in the case, kept his views down as the presiding judge read out the verdict handed down to her.

For his actions, he was held in prison for 20 years. The sobbing of a woman with a tiny baby in her cradle echoed through the courtroom.

Sea's tears also flowed without being ordered. Maybe the woman was the wife of the man who had injured her, Sea thought. As a fellow woman, her heart ached and regretted the actions of the man who did not think about the consequences of his actions.

After reading the verdict to the man, now it is the turn of the verdict to Alesandra. From where he sat, Noah could see Alesandra's father whispering occasionally to their legal team.

No different from his man, Alesandra also had to receive a prison sentence of 20 years. Alesandra was convicted as a criminal because she was someone who told her to do something to give or promise something, by misusing her wealth to do the deed.

There was no crying Alesandra, there was a hysterical woman. He shouted, yelling at the judge he felt was unfair. Alesandra kept yelling at her father and her legal team to do something that could set her free.

Of course they will, but not on that day. Alesandra should have realized that no defense would ever be able to free her. He still has to take responsibility for all the crimes he has committed.

After lunch, Sea remained quiet. Not much he talked about, even while others were discussing about the steps that might be taken by Alesandra's side, Sea was not interested at all.

Noah knew very well what was troubling his wife's mind. Soon his entourage still has to return to court to attend the verdict hearing with the defendant who is none other than Alfio. For his actions that have damaged or destroyed evidence.

The evidence in question is CCTV footage featuring a meeting between Alesandra and her men to harm Sea by way of a car collision. Thanks to Roy's hard work, Alfio managed to get the tape first. Instead of reporting or handing over to the police, he took advantage of the footage by threatening Alesandra.

Everyone is back in the courtroom. When Alfio entered, the man looked at Sea with a smile. The man also nodded to greet Noah.

In my heart, Noah felt jealous when he saw his wife also returned a smile from Alfio. But he undoes his intentions, his sanity says if this is not the right time to be jealous.

The trial was held again. Everyone inside the courtroom followed one by one a series of trial proceedings. It was time for the judge to read out his verdict.

“Composed with a sentence of 4 years imprisonment,” the words of the judge were not denied in the slightest by Alfio.

Tears inundated Sea eye peluk. After all Alfio was his closest person. Especially after knowing the reason Alfio had ever intended to harm him, Sea increasingly felt sorry for the man.

After the trial was over, Alfio finally accepted Sea's request to meet. Noah was glad to let the two talk.

“Do not cry, your face turns ugly.” Canda Alfio the first time the two met.

Sea laughed in response to Alfio's joke. “Do not apologize, your face is not suitable for welding.” Sea taunted Alfio back before his cries finally exploded.

“Basic cengeng!” The man reached into his pants pocket. Gave a key to Sea.

“Begging Noah to take you there,” tell Alfio.

“Where?” ask Sea.

“My photo gallery. We've been there, you remember?” Alfio's question was answered nodding by Sea.

“I prepared a gift for you. Take it yourself,” continued Alfio.

Sea took the key that Alfio had proffered. “Are we still friends?”

“If your husband allows, why not.”

“Mas Noah is a good and understanding man,” reply Sea boasts her husband.

Alfio chuckled at Sea's praise. “Do you forget, how many times has your husband hit my handsome face just out of jealousy.”

Remembering the events that had happened before made Alfio and Sea laugh together. “I'm sorry,” said Alfio after stopping his laughter.

Sea nodded with his netra back in tears. “Take care of yourself, be happy with Noah.”

“He's a good man, I once entrusted my dear sister to him. I know he's taken care of her very well, unfortunately fate says another.”

“Now back I entrust Noah to take care of you. May the happy ending be the destiny of both of you,” said Alfio forcing Sea tears to spill from both of his neutrals.

The limited meeting time ended the encounter between the two. Before Sea disappeared behind the door, Alfio stopped his steps.

“Sea!” call him.

“If you meet Tessa, give her my regards. I will meet him, as soon as I get out of this place,” said Alfio making Sea's face instantly paled.
